June 1st is Paint SL Purple Day to show support for the fight against cancer. I have decided to put together two outfits early, incase anybody wants ideas on what to wear. You don't have to dress head-to-toe in Purple (unless you really want to), just a little Purple goes a long way.

I'm surprised the Gossipgirl sims are still in SL, but they are! Today I took a stroll around the city for my blog photos, and broke into a few posh Upper Eastside apartments too. I have no idea what a 'Gossipgirl' wears, since I've never seen a full episode of the show, so I'm going to show you what Gogo might wear in the city :D
Kira Ahn recently released the adorable Ceran dress, yes it IS a dress!! I love Kira so much for making dresses that would barely pass as a long t-shirt. I'm pairing it with sexy white Yozo boots from Sweetest Goodbye and Bax 'Nathalie' hair.
You didn't know that BAX made hair, did you? This is the Nathalie style and it includes a color-changing headband, and you can change the color of the sparkling diamonds too. I love how the bangs are done on this hairstyle.
I have no idea whose apartment this was, but it had gorgeous artwork and decor. Kira Ahn's 'Indian' dress is like a piece of abstart art, it's so colorful and have bright triangular shapes. This dress will be released tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Last year I did a quick "how to emote in Second Life" tutorial, and I still see a lot of people searching for that entry so I thought I would mention it again today.
It's been several years since I've joined SL and we still don't have new facial expressions, what's up with that? Why can't we have emotions that DO NOT SUCK. For example, I just want to smile or frown while having my avatar's eyes relaxed and not exaggerated into ugly expressions. Is that too much to ask for?
How to emote:
1. Press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+D, to bring up the Advanced client menu
2. Go to Advanced -> Character -> Slow Motion Animations and click to enable it
(Slow
Motion Animations is a feature that slows down animations on your
client only, so others will not see this but it is useful when trying
to capture dances, emotes, poses, etc.)
*note: Don't forget to
uncheck Slow Motion Animations once you're done using it, otherwise
animations will look too slow on your client.)
3. Play with the random expressions on the Emoter and snap away!!
My favorite emoters are built into the Mysti-Tool HUD by Mystical Cookie.
These are fun to play with but I still think there should be a way for residents to make our own or at least have more control over the facial expressions.
Exile has just released two new hairstyles, the Ciara style has a side-braid and perfect for adding hair flowers or other hair accessories to it. Megan is a casual updo with a scarf wrapped around the hair and tied into a bow on the side. The scarf is texture-changeable and includes 6 Spring-y colors!

I went to Tekuteku this morning and the new build is totally awesome!! They have added a ton of new hairstyles, I had a small hairgasm moment. There seems to be new textures too, which I'm super thrilled about since there's a wider range than before. Tekuteku hair is still 'no mod' but has a built-in resizer script. I'm not a huge fan of that, but thankfully it worked for me so I won't have to bitch about how much no mod hair sucks.
Kungler's has just released some new clothes and there's a wide range of items released this time. From dresses, to bikinis and some gorgeous tops. I'm thrilled they released a bunch of pink & white items. <3 I'll just let the pictures do teh talking, they're fabulousss….

The Albero mall is having an Accessory Fair and there are tons of goodies and items marked down 25-50% off just for the event. I love a small themed fair, it makes shopping super fun and not overwhelming at all. I had no idea what I was looking for, but somehow my inventory exploded with all kinds of goodies. :P

This umbrella is to die for!! The NODe Umbrella have 2 built-in poses, 5 textures ( Patchwork, Apple, Retro, Polka dot, and Paisley), open & close version, and animated rain! I don't know why but I found the built-in rain very exciting… and it's not like other rain, there are actual raindrops textures sliding off the top of the umbrella. You can't see it in my picture, but it's stunning in person. There's a demo available @ the fair.
I found this cheapie Tarnished 'Rozen Maiden Headdress' for $10L and a free Cube Sugar 'Eco Bag', they go so well together. I found a few freebies at the fair ~ I don't think I went through the whole fair so there might be other hidden gems available.
Wild O is one of my favorite hat/flower acessories shop and I was sooo happy to find a Cream colored Bouquet Hat for $100L there. This hat comes in two versions, large and small ~ I'm wearing the large version her and I really like it.

Like many other SL residents, I have an SL home that I like to decorate and spend a lot of time looking for items to make it homey and comfortable.
Despite what everybody thinks, my home is not all pink! I share the island with Davo so I try to use neutral colors but it's still very very girlie. I'm not into ultra modern decor (it's too cold), so the pieces I like are a mix of old-world and shabby chic, each room is different from the next. I buy complete sets of furniture, as well as single items and even make use of really good freebies.
One of these days when I've cleaned up the rest of my island, I'll show you more!
Plastik has just released the Aishalune mini dresses, they're sexy and have great lace trimmings and brocade textures. These dresses go great with heel-less Vicky boots from MStyle. The Vicky boots are free on XStreetSL, so get yours while they're available!
Rather than a traditional necklace, I'm wearing this cute new release from Haunted Zuzu. The Asian Flower Necklace is color changeable, you can change the center, inner petals and outer petals with a dozen color presets.

Sparkle Skye has just released the FlowerGirl Dress and it is adorable!! I had to dust off my Kid Gogo shape to show you this cute little poofy dress, perfect for all the weddings in SL. This includes several different skirt versions and lengths, along with matching White Lacey socks and Ballet Flat with roses.
Making a kid shape is tricky, since the SL avatar mesh is terrible and I couldn't get rid of the boobs or make my avatar as petite as I wanted to without looking totally out of proportion. If anyone has tips for a great kid shape, I would love to hear it! :)

totally easy to match with my skintone. I really like that they're
resizable too, so my feet are proportional to my legs.
