Stiletto Moody, hot mess…

Stiletto Moody gave group members a free pair of Stiletto Moody Bare Lana in Red to celebrate the brand’s anniversary. For various reasons, I haven’t ever bought a pair of SM shoes (with or without feet). I am usually pretty good with tinting feet — and I own a lot of shoes from different brands in SL with them. I don’t understand why a pair of shoes that costs well over $2,000L does not include a HUD but a rather primitive drop-down menu. Really SM, you can’t make a HUD? It would make the tinting process  SO much more pleasant. Other brands have them… Maitreya, SLink, even N-Core!

Anyways.. these shoes are FREE, so you know, like everybody else I’m curious to see what all the fuss is about.

All the photos taken below have NOT been post-processed — this is what a pair of Stiletto Moody Bare looks like to me:

1. Straight out of the box — my skin doesn’t match and the ankle strap doesn’t fit into the shoe.

2. I tried fixing my skin color via the ‘ControlFreak’ option and inputting my RGB — uh-oh my feet are PURPLE. So obviously I’ll have do it using the R,G,B drop-down menu which I hate. How am I suppose to know if I need to plus or minus more Green, Red or Blue? I’m a visual person, give me a HUD!

3. 10 minutes later, I’ve matched my skin as best as I could and fixed the fitting issue on the ankle strap.

4. Worn with my AO

Now that I’m satisfied with this, I hop off my pose stand and test the shoes out in-world with my AO. And it looks like crap….. hello hot mess. Looks good if you are posing but not so great when you want to wear it in-world.

5. Is this what you paid $2,000L for? (or however much these costs, I don’t know the exact price)

Would I buy a pair of Stiletto Moody? NO — not with the ankle strap issue. The foot isn’t that nice either with all those heavy shadows but it’s probably something I could live with.. but not for the price tag or the ill-fitted prims.

I know there are die-hard Moody fans out there, so enjoy your shoes! :)

This blog makes me wonder why the bitterness? Is this really about my shoes, I have never spoken to this writer and anyone interested in the shoes has contacted me with comments for improvement. But not here, this has a tone of anger to it. And yes she was under legal investigation and there remain unanswered questions about her association with copyright infringers.

Ah, so all that guff about Sasawe’s account being hacked was just guff? He DID go off and sell the sculpted shoes – which HE made – on his own, and you DO think Gogo had something to do with it. Thought so! If there ‘remain unanswered questions’, I should go ahead and get some answers – but you won’t!

Why would someone like this even come to get a gift intended as a thank you for our group members? So I mulled through some possibilities

Stiletto Moody prices are too high? Not True – every season, I have an end of season sale at 40% off. In fact our next one is coming soon

Frankly even at 40% off they are still overpriced and not well put together. You promised a cheaper range – never happened. You promised demos – never happened. You’re a fibber!

Stiletto Moody is greedy and rich? Not True I put in more money than I take It’s expensive to run a real business. But innovations such as my sculpted shoes and then my BAREfoot© are the result. I worked on BAREfoot for a year – and the ensuing explosion of the feet is what you now see. (Watch for my DMCA’s against the pirates)

OMG! If you are not cashing out by now you should so seriously quit. And please, stop lying. You did NOT innovate either sculpted shoes or prim feet. Fallingwater was the first with sculpt shoes, and Cathy Foil was the first with prim feet. You are a liar. If you had worked on your prim feet for a year, how come you never noticed the crinkling at the end of the toes? They look like chipolatas! Oh yeah – because you don’t make the sculpts, you outsource. You’re a figurehead – end of!

Stiletto Moody doesn’t care? Not True I make these shoes for you. The only thing I care about is you? After Stiletto Moody shoes group is one of the biggest in SL because i do care and I am humbly appreciative of anyone who is kind enough to wear my shoes.

If you care so much for your group, why not tell them the truth?

And then it struck me, this is about making money as a blogger. She gets paid for controversy, and given loose handling of the facts, I suspect she spends more time writing than on Second Life with us all. You see controversy sells better than truth. And more readers mean more money.

That’s utter rubbish. You hate this blog because it sees you plain.

As to this post? Of course the shoe won’t fit out of the box unless you wear the “Stiletto Moody catwalk shape” which is free. So yes, you will need to adjust the size and skin color to fit your avatar. I don’t hack solutions, and when I release a HUD it will address major fashion deficiencies just like the BAREfoot© did. That leaves the ankle. I design shoes that I imagine you wearing on the 2010 catwalks of NY, Paris, Milan and London. Proportion and emotion are critical. It’s about how you feel when you put on a Moody the grace that I hope you take with it. The ankle is my solution to allow for a perfect shoe shape – and the market agrees – as it outsells non-ankle versions about 5 to 1. So tell me if the feeling is better than an occasional exposed ankle cause I am about feeling.

The “Stiletto Moody catwalk shape” is a ghastly thing. The face is hideous – why not simply put the leg, body fat and thickness slider settings on a notecard? Or alternatively you could make the darn shoes a bit better. Ask your 3D modellers, eh? Oh yes, design!! Because you DON’T design these shoes. The designs are copied from RL designs. Not inspired, copied. Unoriginal. Derivative.

My work is in continual evolution, my love of shoe unbounded, my desire to deliver the right fashion and shoe for you my focus.

So I choose!!
I choose to do what I am doing out of love for shoe design and respect for those who wear them.
I choose to look at the glass as half full and not half empty.
I choose to love not hate
I choose to create not deride
I choose applaud all my co-designers in fashion
I choose to design shoes the way my customer want them
I choose impossibly high heels -smile

Happy Anniversary everyone – until the premiere of my Movie Stars contest

Yeah – you should probably know, Miss Gabor’s name was ZsaZsa, NOT Tsa Tsa. Just sayin’

The ankle strap problem is evident, can be seen in many avatars in-world. In my opinion is also evident that other brands offer the same (or better) quality, different styles, include HUD, perfect fit on the ankles (straps), customizable menu, DEMOS….with MUCH more reasonable price. Personally I LOVE Maitreya, N-core and SLink shoes among others.

“Stiletto Moody doesn’t care? Not True I make these shoes for you. The only thing I care about is you? After Stiletto Moody shoes group is one of the biggest in SL because i do care and I am humbly appreciative of anyone who is kind enough to wear my shoes.”

This made me chuckle. – I have a hard time believing that PURELY because I have seen many other creators within SL use that same line and sell with a more *meek* attitude – not with an attitude that makes people feel like *YOU* (the customer) owe *THEM* something.
Frankly, we don’t owe them anything. Without our business, they would not thrive. There are many out there who sell items of high quality for much less. I think SM is greedy, period. :)

Indeed, it can take quite the investment to start a business, however my point still stands. There are numerous businesses selling items of excellent quality for *FAR* less. – Not only that, they make their items more “user friendly”. Does SM provide “user friendly” products? – You answer that.

Amused, yet not impressed. Thank you for telling it like it is GoGo. <3

Good read.

WOW!! Who in the hell wrote that crappy speech for you Moody? You just don’t get it hun. You expect us to pay you OUR hard earned money for what? People are having problems with your product and the best you can do is come up with a long speech about how Gogo’s blog misrepresents your shoes and how you choose to do what you feel? You really don’t care about us. You are just another guppy out looking for that quick buck. You have no heart and it shows. Also, if you despise Gogo so much, why did you take the time out to copy that speech? Oh wait, i’m sorry its one of your customer service reps who did it. NOT YOU. My bad! Shame on you Stiletto Moody.. or that CSR who wrote that speech, shame!

OMG how rediculous!! If you don’t like SM shoes then don’t buy them. When her new shoes came out it was almost impossible to even get in the sim. If her shoes were truely horrible and they weren’t even worth a second look then why would consumers rush out to grab them. People in general are not so willing to have the wool pulled over their eyes. A malicious blog about someone’s creations isn’t a review its slander. Due to this post, not only has the product been subject to harsh scrutiny, but now Stiletto Moody’s character as a person is being judged. Who are you to throw anyone on the chopping block. Give me a break. Stoking the fire is just as bad as starting it yourselves. I know that someone will have something really nasty to say about this post and thats fine. Opinions are abundant in this world. I am dissapointed in all of this trash talk between everyone. I love this blog and look forward to the new posts almost everyday, but the beauty on the outside falls short if what lies beneath has ugly intent. Lets keep the subjects on track. This is supposed to be a place for fashion and all its glory. If you wanna discuss moral fiber and pass judgement on people jump on youtube.com

“Stiletto Moody prices are too high? Not True – every season, I have an end of season sale at 40% off. In fact our next one is coming soon”

NOT TRUE?!? I’m sorry but that makes me laugh, with the “discount” are still more expensive than most others. oh, and accessories separately! ( for 1000 L$ approx., lol)

“The ankle is my solution to allow for a perfect shoe shape – and the market agrees – as it outsells non-ankle versions about 5 to 1. So tell me if the feeling is better than an occasional exposed ankle cause I am about feeling.”

OMG, That is absolutely false. Your shoes are the worst ankle adjustment ( in comparison with other major brands ) .I would like to know where you get those statistics is obvious that people prefer the shoes fixed in the ankles, not the effect orthopedic !!

” But innovations such as my sculpted shoes and then my BAREfoot© are the result. I worked on BAREfoot for a year – and the ensuing explosion of the feet is what you now see. (Watch for my DMCA’s against the pirates)”

As someone said before, You did NOT innovate either sculpted shoes or prim feet, we know that others did before. you not are a CREATOR of shoes ( others create for you ) and neither you design because they are imitations of RL designs like Gucci or Christian Louboutin ( i don’t think there is authorization of those marks to copy their designs, i imagine if they wanted can start a legal action against you ). As you can threaten to DMCA to other designers who possibly create their own shoes and designs ???

Honestly I know a lot of people who no longer buys into stiletto moody, you should ask some questions because I think your business is falling rapidly.

( Apologies to all, English is not my language )

Ashley, for what reason this blog is malicious?? the people just say his opinion ( like the writer ) and you can see what is the general opinion, please don’t make a stupid drama. Stiletto moody have a BIG name, for this reason when her new shoes came out his sim are full , of course this does not mean that everybody bought. in fact I think not actually reach the expectations of sales, i see few people in world wearing the last models…

I totally disagree with this kind of commercial operation. I tried to get this gift for days. I felt cheated when they closed group’s registrations. It seemed to me a disrespectful thing toward new potential customs.
I don’t have any Stiletto Moody shoes, and I have NO intention to buy any. They are unjustifiably too much expensive. There is cheaper and better quality bare feet shoes in SL.

Rachel. I do understand what you are saying but you have no evidence to back up your lil speech. If you had read my comment correctly and could understand everything that I said, you would know that I was anti drama from the beginning. I love this blog and I think we should all concentrate on the fashion not the name calling. As I said before…judging the chartacter of Stiletto Moody is not fashion. Like the shoes, don’t like the shoes…but just get over it!!

I don’t dwell on the negativity and so excuse my lack of response in future. I prefer to focus on designing shoes and positivity. However I was told some have now been flailing wildly at my support staff.

What I do think is in bad spirit is attacking people who work for me. The CRM staff work hard to help fit, provide information, talk to customers. They are there day and night, and focus on helping customers. The website is continually updated with new information and user guides as notecards are simply not good enough.

I design, write and talk for myself as I always have, and will. Maybe Feather comes to talk when I have my baby in April – but he will introduce himself.

You are spoiled for choice on SL since there are now so many feet in the image of the original BAREfoot, and so just get a brand you like. Hey you can even buy the “shoes” offered at this blog, although the prices seem to be higher than I remember. Maybe that’s why she stopped shouting about my prices – lol.

Its simple really – I design shoes because I love them – and I am happy that others love them too. I am unlikely to a make a design choice that compromises a beautiful 2010 shoe reflecting the zeitgeist, colors and emotion of the moment to cover a bit of ankle flesh and diminish a shoe.

That’s me – my entire design methodology, the reason I am here is to focus on the emotion, the feeling I get when I wear a pair of heels that work for me, the connection I have with customers and friends where its all too easy to shout anonymously but more difficult to FEEL love and joy. When I put on a new design and I feel that it’s done! See SL is about touching the soul as its all so intangible – that’s where I have worked to be, and maybe that’s why there was a reaction to my brand. One thing is clear my shoes will always be what my customers want, and my customers who care have a productive way of telling me. There are lots of people sending comments, talking to me all day – I am listening, updating, working in the studio, and improving always. And I welcome you to participate in that process.

Remember we were in Flintstone prims shoes when I started designing shoes – blocks of wood on pink fleshy lumps and I thought – “if I can’t buy them I will design them – for me.” Same thing when I designed the BAREfoot for the shoes and that’s where we are today – a fully sculpted shoe around a real BAREfoot – for me the distance we have come has been worth it.

So come into the boutique and give me a hug – its all going to be OK – you have my mission statement above – that’s I dwell. I am always receptive. Get me in world or at http://www.stilettomoody.com

I wish you all a wonderful holiday

” I design, write and talk for myself as I always have, and will. Maybe Feather comes to talk when I have my baby in April – but he will introduce himself.”

Nope – you DON’T design – you take designs from RL shoes – you copy them.

” You are spoiled for choice on SL since there are now so many feet in the image of the original BAREfoot, and so just get a brand you like.”

Yours were NOT the first sculpted prim feet. Stop lying.

” Hey you can even buy the “shoes” offered at this blog, although the prices seem to be higher than I remember. Maybe that’s why she stopped shouting about my prices – lol.”

She didn’t stop commenting on your ludicrously inflated prices, and putting quotation marks around the word shoes is showing some spiteful negativity dude – don’t go there!!

” Its simple really – I design shoes because I love them – and I am happy that others love them too. I am unlikely to a make a design choice that compromises a beautiful 2010 shoe reflecting the zeitgeist, colors and emotion of the moment to cover a bit of ankle flesh and diminish a shoe.”

Again with the lies – and the shoes you sell have design FLAWS and FAULTS and poor build quality.

“That’s me – my entire design methodology, the reason I am here is to focus on the emotion, the feeling I get when I wear a pair of heels that work for me, the connection I have with customers and friends where its all too easy to shout anonymously but more difficult to FEEL love and joy. Oh thanks – my participation is this – you’re a liar and a fraud and probably a man in RL. if you even have a studio I can’t imagine what you might do in there since it surely isn’t making prim shoes!

” Remember we were in Flintstone prims shoes when I started designing shoes – blocks of wood on pink fleshy lumps and I thought – “if I can’t buy them I will design them – for me.” Same thing when I designed the BAREfoot for the shoes and that’s where we are today – a fully sculpted shoe around a real BAREfoot – for me the distance we have come has been worth it.”

No, we were wearing Fallingwater’s beautiful sculpted shoes, and Tesla’s, and a few others. You did NOT come to SL to play and go ‘oh golly, lookit the horrid shooses, I must make better ones!!!’ You first posted on the SL forums asking for 3D sculptors to work for you. You must think the residents of SL are as daft as you are!! Your account has been about business from day one. Fibber!

” So come into the boutique and give me a hug – its all going to be OK – you have my mission statement above – that’s I dwell. I am always receptive. ”

Haha, I don’t think so. Seriously, would you ask someone to proof read your posts for you? Clearly English is not your first language, why would it be in Eastern Europe? That’s cool – many beautiful languages out there. But it would help if we could understand what you mean.

For what reason you write shoes with quotation marks when you refer to other brands?..mmm, maybe is like if i write, Stiletto Moody are a “designer” or “creator”??
So many feet in the image of the original Barefoot? lol, lol and lol. The other brands mentioned in this blog offer the same or better quality and better price…and you know it.You should have more humility, I see you said nothing about if you have authorization of Gucci or Christian Louboutin ( the designs that you copy of RL ) for sell your shoes. I see in some pictures your models are identical design of this RL designers…sincerely i can’t believe the true Stiletto Moody write this post, is a shame

So fed up with the bullcrap December 6, 2009 at 12:36 am

Ugh, I think the most offensive part of this post is Stiletto Moody and her reps clamoring up here with their rehearsed bullcrap sales-propaganda.

Face it, you’re just selling shoes derived from RL designs. You’re pitching pricey knock offs to a virtual world consumer base. You ain’t doing anything noble or innovative. The whole schmaltzy, “I design what I feel” makes me gag. And I’m a touchy feely person.

And the whole copyright implication of “barefoot” … like hell you’re gonna get that trademarked.

Stiletto Moody has and always will be a brand that promotes an image of pseudo-elitism and exclusivity. By puffing up prices for a mediocre and unoriginal product. The shoes are okay, but I’ve always refused to buy them since they aren’t my style (to me, they look more appropriate for strippers or pornstars). And Stiletto’s delusions of grandeur and originality is a major turn off.

SM talks big and acts like they’re on the level of Louboutin, Choo, Manolo’s, but in reality, SM is like a Jessica Simpson brand. You guys are a hot mess. Having a piece of humble pie once in a while is good for you. Embrace it.

Shop Somewhere Else and Move on December 10, 2009 at 12:52 pm

All this complaining and bashing of SM. The long and short of it is…don’t shop there!

I buy at Stiletto Moody’s…why? Because most of the prim shoe makers do not cater to darker skins. Because out of all the designers Slink and Moody are the ONLY shoes that give you the ability to put in the RGB. I have not bought any Maitreya because the demos do not give the ability to even see if I can tint the shoes to my darker skin tone.

And as for recreating RL shoes in SL. What is wrong with that? I can’t buy them in RL, so at least I have the ability to let my avi wear them in SL.

Too many haters here.

I like SM shoes, but I do find them very, very overpriced. That business model works if people A] can still afford that price and B] the item is of such higher quality so people can justify spending the extra money or C] the brand name is good enough that people keep buying out of habit. The answer to A is a very personal one. The answer to B, in SM’s case is NO. There are shoes that are much cheaper that are as good or better than SM’s shoes. Each reader can decide if C applies to SM or not.

i also know why her shoes must eb so expensive cause she need pay the persons who does the shoes for her she dont create the shoes her own as she say always cause fact si one who cnat link 2 prims in a week and is so long online never would be a great builder and away from this i know peopels who are friend with the sculpors who does her shoes
and if you dont do your own stuff oyu need to be expensive to cna affored all

present herself as “big designer” in magazins so peopels belive the lie
and soon you need sell a shoe for 2k to cna pay all persons who give your lie live
as she means a real biz is hard to hold and cost much money yes is true it cost much but its not so expensive when you do your own work and dont need pay a whole collection of persons who work for your lie ^^

This is in repsonce to Anessa Stine’s comment to me and my blog about the “Special/retarded” comment she thinks.
1- I was NOT bashing on the special people (see this is what my blog is about). You need to re read that post again and again until you get a clue hunnie. Becuase you have it all wrong and anyone with a brain could tell that!
2- My Blog is just that, MY BLOG, I do with it what I dam well please. By turning off the comments on MY BLOG, (See URL listed) keeps me from having to “fight” with people like you , Anessa. Again, get a clue!
3- Yes, I agree with Fawn, You need to stop picking on people that you have NO CLUE as to what’s going on and stop putting words in their mouths.
4- It’s easy to “trick” some people into believing what YOU say in your post without them going to check MY blog out for themselves to SEE that what YOU speak (blow out your ass) of, is not true at all. But no, you want to control YOUR world and everyone elses.
Again, this is just what my blog is all about, people like Anessa. Starting shit, trickery, bigots, can’t do nothing for themselves and have to pick on other becuase they are jealous!

Stop I say, just stop!

Kakaue, that was a rude and nasty way to be treated. You are entirely right, but the thing is, everyone knows already!
We all know SM doesn’t design the shoes. I find the ‘copying from RL and passing it off as your own design is fine’ attitude seriously strange. A design is a design, and copying is copying. It is low and underhand. It is theft, and i have no tine for thieves; they disgust me.
We all know SM doesn’t make the scuplts; Photon Pink, Sasawe Capelini and several other did/do that. It wouldn’t be a problem if SM were honest about it, but SM is dishonest about EVERYTHING!! There is no shame in useing honestly obtained resources; what a pity SM can’t see that he is only lying to himself.
We know that SM’s self-aggrandising advertisements are lies. NOT the first sculpted shoes, NOT the first sculpted foot. NOT the ‘gold’ standard for ANYTHING.
So, we know all this, and so do most of the customers. Which only leaves a few possible conclusions. They WANT to look like deformed strippers, they have more money than sense, they are hoping it still ‘means’ something to be able to waste real money on pixel crap, they are hoping to fool new players into thinking they are special because their pixel shoes were more expensive than others.
So, if you are happy to pay over the odds for unoriginal designs, outsourced prims and textures, lies, boasting and bullshit – shop at Moody’s. You are a laughing stock, but hey – you spent the grocery money on pixels, way to go!

I was enthralled with SM shoes, I thought they were so beautiful and couldnt wait to be able to afford a pair. It was a shame that no demos were offered – this is a negative in my opinion. Also, there is issues with the ankle strap at least on the pair that I bought – for the amount of money I spent, even with the 40% off, the fit is far from perfect – for that kind of money I expect as close to perfect as pixel possible. I have bought less expensive shoes that were a breeze to adjust and wear. SM has lovely styles (with several being just variations on one style but lovely nonetheless) BUT customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I purchased what i thought was a black pair of shoes only to find they were black python – as a result of how the display was arranged. I clicked the buy box for pitch black, cursor unfortunately picked up the greyish python boot just below. I immediately contacted the customer rep to ask simply for the correct color – after several IMs back and forth the final reply was no can do, not exchangeable. For the money they charge and the money they make – this is unacceptable to me. I will not shop there again. A good lesson for all customer reps to remember —> It takes a lifetime to keep a client and seconds to lose one. Oh and btw, the free shoes mentioned above are no longer available and havent been for days, I suggest taking down the advertisment sign from your main store, it saves people a lot of clicking for nothing.

Unfortunately, Ms Moody, your CSR is crap. As much as I do not like to dump shit on people I will in your case. When people spend large amounts of cash, either in games or real life, they expect great service. This does not apply only if you buy a discounted paperclip and it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to – and you decide not to bother because it cost you 1p.

With costly products, and you know yours are, customers want to feel appreciated. In my case, I was made fun of. I have a well proportioned but shorter avatar, which looks absolutely normal. Your shoes did not fit and your CSR made jokes about the shape and about “Being surprised any shoes fit me in SL”. Well for your own sake, all other shoes fit me in SL, and I have never had a CSR make fun of what I look like in their or any other products. It’s a disgrace to your business, because customer relations is where it all starts.

Good luck,
Sam.

i would like to say something on this post that i have wanted to say since the very first Moody bare foot shoe. And i know this post is old, but i just ran across it today.
Moody was not the first to come up with the idea of toes in shoes. it was a place called X2 Exotica circa 2005-2006. They came with a hud and built in Ao which was awesome, however you had to wear that Ao for the shoes to operate. ( it had beautiful stands and walks though). Every woman in sL had to have a pair.
These were the first and only ones for a while. a long while, then the moody explosion. I wondered all those years why no one else made shoes like that.
I pulled mine out tonight,Storma was one of the first to get hit by theft, she also made some awesome skins and someone copied and sold them out from under her. The coolest thing ever was there were 16 colors and 4 texture options and it didn’t cost a lot to get all those colors and textures. I wish someone would make a pair today with that option. And not make it cost my life savings. i used to wear them all the time and just change the colors and textures to match my outfits. What brought these shoes up was i read where S.M. was going to file a DMCA, was not her idea first, so i would like to see how. i think even J’s had toe shoes before Moody(correct me if i am wrong on that one)

Let’s get one thing straight – by no means or stretch of the imagination did you, Stiletto Moody, come up with the prim foot for shoes. Try a DMCA and find out how quickly people will rail against you. FYI not all prim shoes with prim feet are copies of your precious BAREfoot – just because you spent the time sculpting it yourself does not mean another designer didn’t spend hours of days of weeks of months sculpting their own. Last I checked we all have feet we can model ourselves for our sculpting, and last I checked you never created ME or MY FEET. So if I were to sculpt prim feet, even in a similar pose to yours (which would HAVE to be the same for high heeled shoes), you are saying you would start a DMCA? Bring it on. Another thing – all fashion in SL is based off of something from RL, so if you’re doing that well with your “original designs”, WHEN will we see them in RL? Ohhhh, that’s right! They’re NOT your original brainstorm … They’re someone ELSE’S brainstorm and you decided to bring them to SL. It’s nice that you are wanting to bring them to SL b/c you love them, but you have NO right to claim them as your original designs. Nor do you have the right to DMCA anyone else who may come up with a similar design who has seen the EXACT SAME SHOE you got your own inspiration from in RL! Very quick way to have the original creators notified in RL that you are infringing on their products and claiming it as your own. Not the brightest cookie there, dear.

She doesn’t even make the shoes, her hired patsy does that for her.
She doesn’t even make the textures, her hired patsy does that for her.
She doesn’t even deal with issues, her hired patsy teflon shoulders them off.

She DOES base her shoes on rl designs e.g. fredericks of hollywood, louboutin.
She DOES release products fully aware of the issues surrounding them (yea remember the 200 prim shoes people couldn’t tp in and you said nothing and hoped it would go away?)

She IS laughing all the way to the bank.

Obviously it isn’t going to fit perfectly right out of the box because everybody has a different body shape, which is why it can be adjusted, same with the skin tone.

The ankle crashing may not be great, but it still a better solution that most of the other shoes out there, and way better than not having an ankle at all. The avatar ankle is crap, until Linden will allow bendy sculpted prims I don’t see how they or anyone could make this better.

And are you seriously complaining about a free pair of shoes from one of the best? Obviously some people just can’t be pleased.

Wow, I cannot believe I am responding to a post that was posted over a year ago. Obviously I am not complaining about a pair of “free shoes”. I am doing an honest review/feedback with what I perceive to be a product that is also sold at Stiletto Moody’s main store for thousands of Lindens.

Are you saying that this pair of shoes is somehow inferior to the ones that are sold for full price? Because it is my understanding that it is exactly the same.

November 24th 2009.. not quite a year yet, but yes an old old post.

I’m not saying they are inferior, they appear to be the same as the full price product, I’m saying that all shoes need to be adjusted to fit individual avatars.

Your review is fair, but it also looks like in the bottom picture that you have the Ankle part is too low which is causing it to crash. I haven’t really had any problems with the fit, sure sometime it does take some time to get them to fit right, but I expect that since I don’t think it is possible to make a shoe fit everybody right out of the box.

i got the free shoes and they look horrible on me. i see some ball scultpy thing in them when i use my AO. and my cousin bought me a pair of white ballet slipper ones that i threw out because they just looked horrible. what a waste of money.

i love my maitreya gold shoes. they look fantastic, i can even match the ‘skin’ to my stockings with a little bit of patience. and they never look weird when i wear my ao. these shoes look really plasticy and fake. i’m sure they are to toast of escorts everywhere though.

I never liked sm for more personal reasons, I was banned as a newbie for asking a question….needless to say I could really care less about anything they put out, but I have heard so much hype about them it’s surprising they failed to provide their customers with easy to use huds…I am absolutely obsessed however with maitreya, such an easy hud to use and the color is always a near perfect match when I put them on.
