Gimme mod rights, bish!

by Gogo on February 19, 2010

in Polls

A lot of people on my friends list have given me mod rights, maybe because they know I’m too lazy to go mess up their stuff? I like having mod rights to close pals, cos when you’re hanging out at their place (or they’re at yours) they don’t have to ask you to get them a chair, they can just drag one of yours over. Isn’t that the ultimate lazy hostess thing to do? hahah!

How do you feel about mod rights? Do you give it freely or guard it carefully?

Do you know what I want more than mod rights though? MAPPING RIGHTS! Let me see where you are, bishes!

Best (SL) friends gives you mod rights! Agree/Disagree?

RL gender disclosure

by Gogo on February 15, 2010

in Polls, What I think

I have many friends who choose to play an avatar that’s the opposite of their gender IRL. However, NONE of them carry out romantic relationships without informing their SL partner first, of their RL gender. I think that’s the best way to be, even if your partner is infatuated with your SL pixels, they deserve to know. Let them decide if they want to carry on the relationship, don’t decide for them. Truth is best, don’t you think?

When is RL gender disclosure necessary in SL?

I wore it first!

by Gogo on February 3, 2010

in Polls

Almost 3 years ago, when I was fairly newbie, there was a girl who wore the exact same skin, same hairstyle and in the same hair color. It wasn’t her “usual” look, she literally put it on right in front of me. I freaked out a bit, lol.

Thankfully, my friends all have their own ideas about fashion & what they like, so I don’t encounter this much at all now. In fact, most of them don’t even like my skin choices or share my penchant for Platinum Blonde hair.

What about you? Do you care if your friends wear the same skin, or the same skin AND hair, or the same skin AND hair AND eyes AND lashes, on and on and on?

Do you care if your friends wear the same skin/hair color?

  • Nope! I don't mind at all! We all wear it differently. (51%, 136 Votes)
  • Yes! I'll cut a bitch! (40%, 107 Votes)
  • Other - explain? (9%, 25 Votes)

Poll for fellow bloggers

by Gogo on January 21, 2010

in Polls

/Edit/ Ok, I’ve added two more answer choices to the poll. You can now choose ‘All of the above’ or ‘Some of the above’ as your answer if it applies more than the other choices.

Thanks to Peter Stindberg for the idea for today’s poll. Sometimes I get really great ideas off my friends’ plurks discussions. My timeline amuses & inspire me. <3

/end Edit/

Lots of people ask me why I don’t blog (insert random brand) and usually I have really good reasons (see answers 1-4 in the poll below) why I don’t feature them at all, or rarely. I do have the occasional brands that fall under the “I don’t blog them at all cos they’ve pissed me off” but that option is not available for the poll below.

Dear fellow bloggers, why don’t you blog a particular brand?

P.S. If you think the “fashion blogging clique” exists, you’re probably right. On some levels, people tend to blog their friends, or designers they’re aware of. That’s just called good marketing (see answer 3).

Dear bloggers, WHY don't you blog a particular brand?

  • It's nice but not my style (33%, 53 Votes)
  • Their stuff is just plain ugly (29%, 46 Votes)
  • Some of above (18%, 29 Votes)
  • I'm not aware of them (they suck at marketing) (11%, 17 Votes)
  • They're not part of the FASHION BLOGGING CLIQUE!! *sarcasm* (7%, 11 Votes)
  • All of the above (2%, 5 Votes)

It’s not me, it’s you

by Gogo on January 14, 2010

How do you deal with a friend that consistently ‘burns’ you? Do you…

Btw, this does not happen to me. Cos all you have to do is burn me once, and you’re dead to me (but still polite, cos I am polite).

In Second Life, if someone burns you, which approach do you usually take:

  • Burn me once, shame on you; burn me twice, shame on me... (50%, 100 Votes)
  • They can fuck off and die! (39%, 79 Votes)
  • Forgive and forget <3 (11%, 22 Votes)

A designer has removed you from their subscribomatic after a disagreement on Plurk, do you still shop there?

  • Hell no! (87%, 197 Votes)
  • Yes if I find out about their new release some other way, eventually! (13%, 30 Votes)

Btw, this actually happened to a friend of mine, and she has sworn off this brand for GOOD.

Making Money in Second Life

by Gogo on December 16, 2009

in Polls

For a long time, I’ve considered Second Life just a hobby to pay my tier and have spending money. But I’ve had to seriously think if I would consider SL my part time job, since I dedicate some time daily to keeping my SL projects running smoothly.

How much money do YOU personally need to make before you consider it more than just a hobby but your job?

If you make money in Second Life, would you consider it your full-time/part-time job?

  • Yes, if it is over $2000US month (27%, 63 Votes)
  • Yes, if it is over $500US month (27%, 61 Votes)
  • Yes, if it is over $1000US month (21%, 49 Votes)
  • Not at all - no matter how much money I make since SL is "not real" (14%, 33 Votes)
  • No, if it is under $500US month (11%, 24 Votes)

Total Voters: 230
