I’ve noticed that so many “bloggers” are not writing anything to accompany their blog posts lately. Most bloggers just post an image or two and then the credits. I think that unless your pictures are so amazing (most aren’t), there should be some accompanying text to let the readers know what they’re looking at, and describe it a lil’ or just tell us why you like it!
Why are people not writing anymore? As a blog reader, what do YOU prefer?
Should SL fashion bloggers write more or write less?
- Write more! Tell me what I'm looking at! (76%, 383 Votes)
- Write less! Let your pictures do the talking! (24%, 119 Votes)

Pros…
Mesh hair doesn’t sink into your shoulders
Mesh hair moves with you (Sort of..)
Cons…
Mesh hair is NOT modifiable
Mesh hair has no movement (like flexi)
I can’t think of anything else to add to the list. Of the few mesh hairstyles that I’ve tried, I really think it is just “OK”. I kind of miss the flexi hair that swooshes around as you dance around in SL. Also, I don’t like that mesh hair seems like it’s ‘stuck’ to your body, can seem unnatural when you’re moving around in-world.
What are your thoughts?
Is your SL user-experience getting better or worse?
- Worse! Please make it work, Linden Lab! (64%, 344 Votes)
- Better! Keep up the good work, Linden Lab! (36%, 196 Votes)

When I first started SL, there were women (and men) running around in formal wear all the time. I haven’t seen that in a long time, and even on blogs, more SL bloggers favor the playful/younger look with *ahem* things in mouth (I’m totally guilty of this), and cutesy accessories.
Do you think SL’ers are dressing their avatars younger than before? Do you dress your age?

For a long time, I haven’t been able to take more than a few photos without crashing once my inventory has fully loaded. My inventory count has also not been less than 50,000 items for a long time, perhaps 2-3 years. As you guys know, I have been reducing my inventory count drastically, and it’s not cos I mind having a large invy (I’m very organized) but I want to fix this annoying crashing when taking snapshots issue once and for all!!
I’ve noticed that ever since my inventory went from 130K -> 90K -> less than 75K, I can take photos again, without having to clear cache every single time I want to take pictures!
Can you take just a few seconds to answer my poll, I want to see if 1) what viewer are you guys using? and 2) can you take snapshots with a large inventory?

THANKS YOU GUYS!!!!
It’s official! SL is now officially no longer an “adults only” zone, as we welcome 16 and 17 year-olds from the Teen Grid. I know a lot of designers are looking forward to this, viewing teens as a fresh group of shoppers, so here’s my question for anyone who is a teen and reading this blog, how do you fund your SL?
Teens! How do you fund your SL?
- With my own money (from a RL job) (41%, 85 Votes)
- With my own money (earned in-world) (38%, 79 Votes)
- With money given to me (allowance, gift) (21%, 45 Votes)

There are so many charity events in SL, and the number of events increase yearly. I have a question for event organizers, designers, and shoppers. Do you feel that a donation receipt (proof of donation) should be posted after the charity event has ended?
I think that some proof of donation should be posted, cos it’s more reassuring to see that proof that the money has been properly donated.
Although designers are the ones doing the donating, and we as shopper are merely exchanging Lindens for their goodies, I think that a charity event motivates lots of us to buy something we may not normally buy. In my mind, when I shop at a charity event I am “donating” too.
What do you think?
Should a donation receipt (proof of donation) should be posted after the charity event has ended?
- Yes! I want to know if the money has been properly donated. (96%, 404 Votes)
- No! It doesn't matter to me, I'm merely exchanging Lindens for goodies. (4%, 18 Votes)

I’ve been trying to get my inventory down from 130,000 items but after cleaning it for several hours, I’m still at 129,000! According to this Second Life Wiki page, having an inventory larger than 10,000 items may slow performance so… uhh.. I think we’re all in trouble. For the “fashion” crowd, I don’t think 10,000 items is a realistic number! I wish SL would let me sort my inventory by YEAR so I can purge everything from 2009 and beyond.
Please take my poll, cos I wanna know how my inventory size compares to other SL residents.

I’ve known Davo for 3 years now and he has worn the ever so popular Naughty Designs “Dante” skins THE ENTIRE TIME. It looks fabulous on him, and is my favorite male skin of all time.
Although I know a lot about female skins in SL, I am completely clueless when it comes to male skins! I haven’t been able to recommend ANYTHING comparable to ND Dante because I never liked the ones I demo’d. They all looks so old (ew chest hair! ew dark shadows!) and just not as boyishly cute as Dante. Dear Lost Thereian, where are you???? Please come back and make Dante II!
Ok anyways. Since I’m clueless, I asked my friend Lashy to help me research all the “hot” male skins around the grid. She’s the perfect person for this job — cos 1. she’s thorough 2. she has known Davo for even longer than I have (5 years and 8 months!) and 3. she’s willing <3
So I sent her Davo’s shape and she went around the grind to find skins that are hot on his shape so we can recommend it to Davo, and this is what she came up with:

So, this is where I need all of you guys to help me pick out YOUR favorites! I have narrowed it down to two, but they are a secret :) The brand names have been removed until after the poll. Help Davo find Davo 2.0! Thanks guys!!

I love secrets. Who doesn’t? And most people think that *I* cannot keep a secret, which is not true. I can keep a secret if I determine that they’re not telling me the secret to manipulate me. For example, I hate when a “friend” tells a secret and says “oh I am only telling you this” right before they ask you for a bunch of favors. Screw off!
I feel like there are secrets and then there are secrets.
How do you feel when your friends tell you secrets, do you like it or hate it? Can you keep a secret to yourself??
When someone tells you a secret...
- They genuinely trust you! (81%, 184 Votes)
- They're doing it to manipulate you! (12%, 27 Votes)
- They WANT you to leak it! (7%, 17 Votes)

A lot of people on my friends list have given me mod rights, maybe because they know I’m too lazy to go mess up their stuff? I like having mod rights to close pals, cos when you’re hanging out at their place (or they’re at yours) they don’t have to ask you to get them a chair, they can just drag one of yours over. Isn’t that the ultimate lazy hostess thing to do? hahah!
How do you feel about mod rights? Do you give it freely or guard it carefully?
Do you know what I want more than mod rights though? MAPPING RIGHTS! Let me see where you are, bishes!
Best (SL) friends gives you mod rights! Agree/Disagree?

I have many friends who choose to play an avatar that’s the opposite of their gender IRL. However, NONE of them carry out romantic relationships without informing their SL partner first, of their RL gender. I think that’s the best way to be, even if your partner is infatuated with your SL pixels, they deserve to know. Let them decide if they want to carry on the relationship, don’t decide for them. Truth is best, don’t you think?
When is RL gender disclosure necessary in SL?
- RL gender disclosure is necessary before carrying out romantic relationships! (59%, 185 Votes)
- Never, RL gender has no place in SL! People are what they represent their pixels as in SL! (22%, 68 Votes)
- RL gender disclosure is necessary before they can hump, lick or BITE me! (19%, 62 Votes)

Almost 3 years ago, when I was fairly newbie, there was a girl who wore the exact same skin, same hairstyle and in the same hair color. It wasn’t her “usual” look, she literally put it on right in front of me. I freaked out a bit, lol.
Thankfully, my friends all have their own ideas about fashion & what they like, so I don’t encounter this much at all now. In fact, most of them don’t even like my skin choices or share my penchant for Platinum Blonde hair.
What about you? Do you care if your friends wear the same skin, or the same skin AND hair, or the same skin AND hair AND eyes AND lashes, on and on and on?

/Edit/ Ok, I’ve added two more answer choices to the poll. You can now choose ‘All of the above’ or ‘Some of the above’ as your answer if it applies more than the other choices.
Thanks to Peter Stindberg for the idea for today’s poll. Sometimes I get really great ideas off my friends’ plurks discussions. My timeline amuses & inspire me. <3
/end Edit/
Lots of people ask me why I don’t blog (insert random brand) and usually I have really good reasons (see answers 1-4 in the poll below) why I don’t feature them at all, or rarely. I do have the occasional brands that fall under the “I don’t blog them at all cos they’ve pissed me off” but that option is not available for the poll below.
Dear fellow bloggers, why don’t you blog a particular brand?
P.S. If you think the “fashion blogging clique” exists, you’re probably right. On some levels, people tend to blog their friends, or designers they’re aware of. That’s just called good marketing (see answer 3).
Dear bloggers, WHY don't you blog a particular brand?
- It's nice but not my style (33%, 53 Votes)
- Their stuff is just plain ugly (29%, 46 Votes)
- Some of above (18%, 29 Votes)
- I'm not aware of them (they suck at marketing) (11%, 17 Votes)
- They're not part of the FASHION BLOGGING CLIQUE!! *sarcasm* (7%, 11 Votes)
