Let's meet at the beach

This Kenya II Playsuit from Ricielli is fabulous! Nothing says beachy more than coral, so I added a big splash of coral to my outfit today. I crashed after taking the first picture, and for some reason my hair detached itself, and all the colors reverted to default. This explains why the band on my hat is two different colors, cos I forgot I had originally colored it white. You probably don’t even notice, and I didn’t either until I went to crop the photos.

Do you ever notice tiny “fails” in SL photos? Sometimes I don’t even fix mistakes like hair going into clothing cos I think imperfections make SL interesting. Back in the day…… we were lucky when our hair didn’t randomly attach to our butts.

Kimono

Kimono

The kimono from the Zenith is adorable! Zenith always surprises me with their creativity and ability to create for multiple genres. In addition to casual clothing, sometimes they release these wonderful traditional outfits, including matching accessories. I went to The Epiphany this morning and played just enough times to get the kimono, so I don’t have all the accessories for this outfit, but it’s still amazing! This is my first outfit from Zenith with built-in hands, which I think is neat if I had all the accessories cos they’re meant to go with them. Even if I had the accessories, I’ve noticed that they’re tiny baby hands!

If you want these items, check the Marketplace, I’ve already seen some items listed on there at pull price. I had an interesting experience this morning at The Epiphany. Since it’s opening day, the lag was especially bad. I played 2 machines that took my money and didn’t deliver anything. Then, I won this Rare Analog Dog hair but it was missing the color HUD. There was a free Analog Dog hair pack at the event, so I bought it and saw that it had all the color HUDs, so I tried the Dark Brown one and it worked on my hair. Yay!

Kimono

I’m not a huge fan of gacha, but I like going for the experience. I use to want ALL the pieces, but now I just try to work with what I have, and enjoy mixing it with items in my inventory.

What I’m Wearing:

Analog Dog – Joy A (Dark Browns) Rare
Zenith – Shen le Kimono(Tiffany)
Zenith – Shen le Headpiece (Lemon)
Zenith – Rainy Day Umbrella Necklace (Golden)
Ingenue – Melisande Heels (Seafoam)

Since the launch of subscription boxes in SL, I have only purchased two. Those two boxes had about a dozen brands each, and I only really liked one or two items, so I decided that I would not buy any more subscription boxes. Sometimes I miss out on really great things from my favorite brands, but I didn’t want to pay $1,500 (sometimes more), just to have one item.

When I saw that Pink Fuel released these gorgeous Sugar Rush Eyeshadows as part of the Cutie Loot subscription box, it was already released so the price jumped from $1,500L to $3,000L! Unfortunately for the brands in Cutie Loot, the event fell apart due to mismanagement. Fortunately for me (and you!), Pink Fuel decided to release these at the main store for way less than subscription box price. Go get them!

Sugar

These shadows are gorgeous, so shimmery.

Linden Endowment for the Arts, and Hazing in Second Life

Linden Endowment for the Arts, and Hazing in Second Life

Update 7/6/17: I was contacted by a Linden and told they’re looking into this.

This post makes me sad. I don’t want to type it. I’ve been trying to avoid it by settling the matter privately or seeking help from Linden Lab on the downlow. But after several tries to get the office’s attention about what’s going on, I think the only real solution is to make this issue public. They simply aren’t responding because what I have to report doesn’t fit exactly into their usual categories.

Everyone knows I’m about art. It’s what I do for a living irl and I’m very happy with it. After a great bout of years in the art field, I got involved with Linden Endowment for the Arts thinking that would be great experience for joining a real, larger panel for an established museum. Unfortunately, that’s not what I found here.
