Happy Holidays! Whatever you celebrate, you should do it in style. I am loving this gorgeous Uma Skater Dress and Mia Bolero from The Secret Store. I specifically chose to wear the Foil color cos I love the shimmery metallic look, and it pairs wonderfully with the Scarlet bolero and Marmont Pumps from A N E Shoes. These pumps are adorable! I’m delighted to find another brand of shoes in SL that works so well with my style; definitely keep an eye on A N E if you’re into pretty shoes.
I’m slowly but surely decorating my SL home for Christmas. I got a new Christmas tree this year from Moss & Mink! All the ornaments and decor are pastel, so it goes with my home perfectly. I have several other Christmas trees I want to put up as well, in more traditional colors. I love Christmas.

Do you know why I’m standing in most of my SL photos? Because poses in SL are terrible when your limbs bend in any way. I want to sit down. When I do sitting poses, my limbs go into each other or the clothes or the furniture. It’s all terrible. SL has advanced so much, but we’re still using the same old poses. When brands label their poses “bento poses” it really doesn’t mean anything. Unless it’s an animation specifically for a bento mesh object (like the mesh heads animations) – static poses are still crazy. They’re made exactly the same way they have always been, and they don’t look right. I’m so tired of editing my photos to look “not crazy” in sitting poses. I’m not great at redrawing an entire limb or sleeve in photoshop, so it will always look off.
Comment on this post if you agree about the poses not fitting, EVER!!!! What can we do, as a community, to make poses work better for all of us?

Sasy went with me to Gacha Garden, and made my entire day when she won this closet in both colors. Invite Sasy along with you to gacha events, she’s truly lucky!

Did you read the latest blog post about new improvements and fees? I’m super excited about Animesh! I can’t wait to have clothing and curtains that sways gently. As usual, there is some uproar about the fee for processing credit increasing from 1.5% to 2.5%, but that’s just the cost of doing business. Linden Lab could easily charge for a “business license” of $1,000USD a year and people would pay it, as long as they’re able to profit from their SL businesses.
In the decade that I’ve been in SL, I have not seen a single brand quit over ‘fees’ – but some do make a bunch of noise, and quit when they stop making a profit. My favorite brands aren’t going anywhere, as long as we keep supporting them with our lindens!
Speaking of favorite brands, What Next is easily one of my favorite home decor brands at the moment. The Colonna Hot Chocolate Station from What Next is giving my home such cozy autumn feels. I’m looking for a new bedroom set, if you guys have any suggestions, let me know in the comments!
Do you remember Aphotic Gloom eyes? I wore the basic prim eyes for a very long time, until I upgraded to mesh eyes. I’m thrilled to announce that Aphotic Gloom is back with an updated mesh release of the beloved Clarus/Aquilius eyes! Now you can wear your favorite AG eye color in mesh! The newly updated mesh eyes combines the Clarus/Aquilius color packs into one HUD – which also includes the ability to change colors, shadows, and resize.
