I went to bitterCandy to pick up the free wardrobe set and found some top quality clothes there. Kal Rau is a Brazilian designer and creator of KR (which sells mostly men’s fashion) and bitterCandy which features casual women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories.
[bitterCandy – Jean Shorts + Belt | bitterCandy – Striped Hoodie | bitterCandy – Allanis Top NO Stress Pink | Dutch Touch – socks | KR – Street Next shoes (Black & Next Flower2 print)
Ohh.. I love these KR Street next shoes, especially the pink Hawaiian print! <3
Yum textures..
[Shown above is all the KR – Street Next shoes with flower print]
Even though I mostly shop for girl stuff, I have to mention that KR mostly has men’s clothing!!! All the clothes are transferable so it makes gift giving a breeze. I would totally recommend that guys check out this shop for some stylish casual wear.
LaGyo released the second part of their Summer jewelry collection a few days ago, and there are lots of cute pieces that can be worn alone or as part of a set. I am wearing the Floss necklace, Floss brooch, and Floss Earrings (it’s hidden by my hair but it’s there!). The Floss items are scripted to change color so I tried to match my brooch and necklace to SySy’s new Ruffle tank in pink/teal color. After I put this outfit together, I realized it looked a bit like the 4th of July, lol, but the colors are cute and you can’t go wrong with Red and blue! 🙂
Let me tell you about this Bird Cage Wall Art from Southern Bella. I joined a home and garden group to grab a free gift from one of the participating shops and forgot to leave. Yes, I know, I’m totally guilty of group hopping. It’s a good thing I stayed because this group sends out home decor gifts daily! Sometimes I grab the stuff and it’s pretty cute, like this gift from Southern Bella. Are you decorating on a budget? Get this 1-prim bird cage wall art. The group is SL House & Garden, and it’s free to join.
These TuttiFrutti Lucy in the Sky (Ultra Low Jeans) may be the most colorful pair of pants I own in SL. These pants are “ass-crack pants” cos it shows just a lil too much but it looks great if you pair it with regular top instead of a crop top. The pants includes sculpted skinny cuffs and wide cuffs.
What I’m Wearing:
Exile – April (Dusk)
LeLutka – IFepale-makeup 4 (D Brows)
SYSY’s – Ruffle Tank (Pinkteal)
TuttiFrutti – Lucy in the Sky (Ultra Low Jeans)
Friday – Dream Booties (Red)
Djinn & Tonic have just released this adorable Houndstooth jacket, in a bunch of seasonal colors. Each jacket includes sculpted collar, cuffs, and a prim jacket attachment. I'm pairing my outfit with one of my favorite pair of pants from LeeZu, the Brit Pants, which I've worn many times. I loove the textures & cuffs on these pants.
All you lovely addicts please don't kill me!! I'm so excited I got a sneak peek of Lelutka's Eclat skins that will be released on October 10th. They're beautiful and they have tons of new details that were not on previous releases (you'll have to wait and seee!!!!).
A close-up of Lelutka's EclatPale-makeup6(Light Brows)
Picnik.com released some new Halloween photo effects, I'm trying out a ghostly one here.. oooo!! Love it!
What I'm Wearing:
Lelutka – EclatPale-makeup6(Light Brows) Exile – Miss Southern Belle (Champagne) Djinn & Tonic – Tweedheart Vest [White] Djinn & Tonic – Houndstooth [Haute] Juicy – Classic Pumps (Marshmallow)
Tiny Bird – Slow Show | Lost Coastlines | Meadowlark
Tiny Bird has released three new hairstyles!! I pretty much love this Ash Blonde color, it goes so well with the Laqroki Pearl (Fair) skin.
Say “I DO” to this gorgeous LaPointe & Bastchild “Caged Love” Women’s Wedding Band. I don’t really wear wedding bands as a commitment in SL, I just love nice big rings with big bling! (not the scripted kind, but you know, a nice big diamond)
What I’m Wearing:
Tiny Bird – Lost Coastlines (Ash Blonde)
Laqroki – Pearl 07 [Fair] Glow Skin
flowey – be still my heart tattoo
Ingenue – Fraxinus (Tea Rose) Dress
LaPointe & Bastchild – Caged Love Women’s Wedding Band
Friday – Dream Booties (Cream)
I’ve been watching Second Life residents showing off all the features on this new Third Party Viewer based on the Firestorm code, and the main thing I care about is this:
IT FIXES HAIR ALPHA GLITCH.
For a virtual world built entirely around visuals and eye candy, why have we all just been suffering through this for decades? Suddenly out of nowhere, AYAstorm comes along and delivers us from the alpha glitch nightmare. Did nobody else want to fix this? Did Linden Lab just not care? Because this changes EVERYTHING for in-world photography.
I love landscaping, plants, trees, dense nature scenes… and all of that has always been a complete nightmare because of alpha rendering issues. Hair breaking. Layers flickering. Photos ruined. And now? FIXED. OMG.
As much as I still love Aperture Viewer, it hasn’t been updated in forever and it doesn’t have this fix. This alone is enough reason for me to switch immediately.
And beyond that, there are actually a bunch of really cool features if you’re into lighting tweaks, so definitely check it out. Since it’s based off Firestorm, most Second Life residents will already feel familiar with the layout.
Also, if you end up loving this viewer too, please go thank the creator of AYAstorm either in Second Life or over on X/Twitter, because this is one of the most exciting viewer improvements I’ve seen in years.
If you get motion sickness, go to the AYAstorm menu – Motion Blur – and uncheck Enable Motion Blur. Go to SSR – uncheck Enable Screen Space Reflections to remove glitchy water shadow too.
Update: Some of you commented on the quality difference between the viewer and I just wanted to note that I forgot to change the texture resolution to 2048 on AYAstorm (it was shot at 512 by accident). Go to Preferences – Graphics – Texture Rendering – Restrict maximum texture resolution to: change to 2048 pixels.
I suck at hunting for things, so I gave up after finding 6 items from the Seasons Hunt. One of the things I found, was this adorable pair of Swank Glasses from DECO. It was my very first time at DECO and the store had lots of Chandeliers (light sources) that gave me a massive headache. DECO is just one of many stores in SL that is plagued with this problem — I wonder if the owner/builder doesn’t have local lights checked? For those of us that have it “on” by default, it’s a nightmare and impossible to see your vendors, let alone hunt for tiny objects.
After yesterday’s all Black look, I felt like I needed a little Pink back in my SLife. Today’s outfit is super girly and very frilly. I’m wearing the Frilled Vest from Malt, Aragon Skirt from Fishy Strawberry, and this super kawaii bunny bag from TokiD (Season’s Hunt gift).
Mamboo Chic is a new-to-me brand that has quite a large collection of skins. I haven’t done many skin reviews this year, and it’s been awhile since my last review (since August), so I thought I would share with you guys the newest skin from Mamboo Chic. This Shapira skin has a sweet lil’ face and comes with tattoo makeup and tattoo lipsticks. I love tattoo makeup, and I think every skin brand in SL should have ’em.
The Shapira skin is available in 5 skin tones, 8 lipstick (tattoos) and 15 make up (tattoos) layers. I have mixed-and-matched a couple of the tattoos to create different makeup looks above.
This skin has an attractive face & the options available are just enough to create many different looks. Of course there’s room for improvements, but from my interaction with this designer, I think she’s very willing to accept feedback and make improvements for future releases. I would love to see more brows (tattoos) offered with future releases, as well as some more upgrades on the body.
My stalking skills have found this blog- woohoo! Now I need to go shopping…
