And.. and… and… I saw Beanie blog these sassy Hays Uriza “Cyndi” Platform Strap pumps and had to take it home with me! I love you shiny Black pumps!!!
I have a couple of really cute new decor items I want to show you guys!
I love lights, they really add warmth to any room. Each couverture Pendant is scripted to texture change and turn the light on/off (also includes weak/strong light option)
The Spry semi-sweet poster art are super cheerful! Love these!
Starstruck has a new Sprayed Out Table that’s so adorable with some paint splatters all around. The Romance posters (mesh) are also available at the main store now.
I’ve been thinking about SL22B, Second Life’s big birthday celebration, which is coming up next week. Around this time every year, I also find myself reflecting on whether I would buy SecondLifetime Premium Plus again in 2025.
Back at SL20B, Second Life introduced SecondLifetime Premium and SecondLifetime Premium Plus. It was a limited offer, and I was able to buy just one SecondLifetime Premium for $749 dollars. Then during SL21B, they gave us the option to upgrade from regular lifetime to Plus. I went for it and spent another $1,150 dollars to upgrade my main account. I also bought a brand new SecondLifetime Premium Plus for my alt at the full price of $1,899 dollars. So altogether, I’ve spent $3,789 dollars for two lifetime accounts.
Did I need two lifetime accounts? Last year, I would have said yes without hesitation. I wanted to lock in my Linden Homes permanently. I do not consider myself a creator, so the free uploads were not a huge deal for me. I also do not care about being in a hundred groups. The biggest appeal for me was living rent free in my Linden Homes. That was enough to justify it at the time.
Back then, I had a lot more confidence in Second Life as a company. These days, that confidence has faded. Would I buy another lifetime subscription this year? No, I would not. If they offer it again in very limited numbers, I guess my choice to pass gives someone else a shot at it. If you want one of these, you should pay attention during the Meet the Lindens event at SL22B next week and be ready to submit your ticket fast.
Lately, I keep asking myself how long a Second Lifetime really is. I hope the answer is forever, or at least long enough to break even. We are living in unpredictable times, and Second Life could disappear at any moment. None of us want that, but at the end of the day it is a company, and companies can go under. Everyone who bought Lifetime like I did is hoping Second Life stays around long enough for us to enjoy the full value of our long lifetime subscriptions.
I tp’d one of my bestest friends in SL to do a comparison pic (which I thought would take 5 mins tops!) but took 2 hours and lots of laughing on my part, cos I’m evil (slightly). I’ve known Lashy for years and her avatar has always surprised me whenever I actually see her in-world. I never know if she’s gonna be taller than me, or shorter or is an elf or human. Today I tp’d her to do comparison pics and she decided that she was too large when standing next to me, she didn’t want to be my “bigger than Gogo” example — so she tp’d home to SHRINK hahahah!!! I waited around for awhile.. but she came back my size!
The Black & White is Lashy before, and colored is Lashy-after.
note: I didn’t tell Lashy she was too big, it was entirely her choice to shrink 😛
So the conclusion is.. I have not found someone bigger than me yet, since Lashy cheated and shrunk herself.
The Fall Edition of Cosmetic Fair ends in 2 days, be sure to stop by! I’m wearing some gorgeous Gold accented nails appliers by Flair (set 164) available at the Fair. I don’t usually wear much Gold jewelry, but I felt like it today, so I layered two LaGyo necklaces, and added this gorgeous Queen Deer Ring, also from LaGyo.
This Trench Coat is an older release from Ricielli. I think I mentioned it before, but I really like the coat, except that it’s unlined (invisible on the inside), so it’ll look bad when you’re sitting down or walking, etc.
Also, I just wanted to tell you guys that your nice comments on my blog this week really made my day(s). Even though I know people are reading, sometimes it does feel a like a loner activity when people don’t respond! So it was nice to know that you guys are there! 🙂
