I………. LOVE……………. SKINS!!! Whenever there’s a new skin released on the grid, my toes tingle. Seriously! Skins for me are > shoes > clothes > hair. But I love all those other stuff too!!! I just like standing on my pose stand waiting for a skin to rez, it’s relaxing 😛 Who needs aroma therapy?!
The latest Erin skins from La Sylphide arrived just in time for Autumn, with tons of beautiful rich & earthy makeups. I’m totally loving the glossy lips and that nose is perfection with just the right amount of shine.
Cajsa made me go check out eha hair cos she said the styles were cute and they’re pretty new/unknown. I visited and they only have a few styles but it’s so cheap! The hairstyles are $100L per color and it’s mod.

The skin I’m wearing is a work-in-progress so I can’t say which brand it’s from (yet) but I will as soon as I get a final version. It’s HOT! I love it.
Plastik has just released the ultra sexy Inifinity tops. I love the cleavage & loosely tied ribbons around the tank top, it totally adds interest to the design. Each top also includes a sheer version, if you want to get even sexier.
One flaw I did notice on the opaque version of the top is the alpha channel near the shoulder/underarm area not being well done. There's some shadow there which doesn't look good at all! On the sheer version, since there's no shadow, the alpha channel is much cleaner and perfect. It's not too visible, but I notice everything since I play with a lot of poses where my arms are raised. Most people probably would never even notice this.
Digit Darkes released this awesome new GossipGirl dress in black & purple, and it’s very glam and sparkly, I love it. It’s the perfect party dress, but I’ve decided to make it dark by wearing the miaSnow Dahlia skin, which I think is totally the best goth doll skin…. it’s beautiful and crazy looking. Or crazy beautiful. 😛

Below is the Bauhaus dress by Digits Darkes release that has amazing flexi-movements, like all her other releases. I looove flexi’s! I’m a sucker for prints and bold sashes.
LeeZu has just released this new Vienna dress in six colors. I’m wearing the White, Pink and Black, cos the headband on my new Truth Nadia hairstyle matches perfectly. I love when two different creators have similar color palettes, it’s so easy to accessorize!
Here’s a quick tip for when you’re wearing this Vienna dress. The top is a sculpted attachment, so you’ll either need to stretch to fit, or to make it easy, shrink your boobs. I chose the latter, because I liked how the straps fit on my shoulders, and I knew that stretching it would make the prim too loose around my torso. Soooo, I shrunk my normally size 60 boobs to a VERY SMALL size 23. I don’t recommend that ANYBODY wear 20 boobs unless you’re a guy! Anyways, that’s an easy fix, and the dress still looks great.
I’m pairing the dress with the new Bikers Reloaded boots from Redgrave! If you were a fan of these, they now include studs in Bronze and Silver. I’m wearing White, Smoke, Caramel, Brown and Black. I love the shape on these, and the textures but I did NOT like that everything is set to full-bright. I’m wearing full-bright here but if I were to wear these in-world, I would un-check the full-bright box first. Thankfully, the boots are modifiable so you can do this if full-bright is also not your thing.
So you want a custom Bluesky name? If you have your own domain, setting it up is straightforward. I’m @gogo.juicybomb.com on Bluesky. I intended to write a tutorial, but fortunately, Bluesky already offers an excellent guide: How to verify your Bluesky account.
If you want to be known as @yourdomain.com, simply set up the TXT record at your hosting company or your domain registrar. If you have a domain name without a hosting plan, you should set up the TXT record with your domain name registrar. On the other hand, if you have a hosting plan associated with your domain name, you will configure the TXT record at your hosting company. If you want to be recognized as @anyword.yourdomain.com, create a subdomain and then add the TXT record on that subdomain. You can set up as many TXT records as you want to, even for different domains. They will all resolve to your account.
If you decide to obtain a custom name on Bluesky, be aware that as soon as you acquire your new name, you will have released your old name for anyone else to claim. For instance, I was initially @juicybomb.bsky.social. Once I changed to @gogo.juicybomb.com, I recreated juicybomb to ensure that no one else could use it. This gives me the flexibility to revert to it in the future, should I choose to discontinue using my domain. To revert, simply delete the username you are holding and rename your current account.
I have observed many Second Life residents using @name.secondlife.bio on Bluesky. However, I must caution you against this choice. This domain is not officially owned by Second Life or Linden Lab; rather, it is owned by a resident. While it is commendable that they are offering this service, if their domain is not renewed, you will lose your username. It will cease to resolve, prompting Bluesky to ask you to create a new one (although you will not lose your posts or account—only your username will change). Beyond the risk of losing your username, I also have concerns regarding impersonation. Since these accounts are not verified, anyone could request @yourname.secondlife.bio.
I am genuinely curious when Second Life will address the use of the domain name by SecondLife.bio, as it clearly violates their Domain Name Guidelines.
What do you think of when an item is called system (ex: system skin, system shoes)? In Second Life fashion terms, it can mean basic and dated. I have noticed that some skin brands have decided to call non-mesh head skins classic skins instead of system skins. This is a brilliant way to distinguish between mesh and non-mesh, without saying one type is better than the other. Classic is good, desirable, and timeless. I like that some brands still offer classic skins alongside skin appliers.
Pink Fuel just released two new classic skins called Mori and Morgana. Mori is an entirely new face, and Morgana is a classic skin release of the previously released Morgana mesh head appliers. I like Morgana on my shape, cos I can tweak it my way and make the face work for me.
Both skins comes with eyeshadows, lipsticks, blush, freckles, additional button nose, and a separate HUD with appliers for mesh mouths. I haven’t found a mesh mouth that I like, but this is a wonderful addition for people who use them in photos.
Do you still wear classic skins? Even though I wear mesh heads a lot cos they’re shiny and new, I like to keep my classic avatar updated with all the latest items since I know that it’s uniquely me.
