Fishy Strawberry has just released their first line of Daphne skins. There are 3 skin tones (Latte, Cappuccino, and Mocha) to choose from and 3 brow options (Black, Brown, and Blonde). Shown here is the Cappuccino skin tone and all 11 makeups.
These are very good for a first skin line, and if you look very closely, there are tiny dimples on the cheeks! 🙂

I’ve officially given up on cleaning my inventory. Easter hunts completely wrecked it, and I’m done wasting time trying to fix it. I’m sitting at 106k today, which… I wish was lower, but at this point I don’t even know what to delete anymore.
I did a little shopping this weekend and it made me realize how much I appreciate brands that release a proper pair of pants. I love ISON for that. Most of their stuff actually covers everything and still feels really classy. I can’t even remember which event I picked up these Maisie Corduroy Trousers from, but they’re really good.
Normally I’m very basic. I just wear whatever the newest release is that everyone else is wearing that weekend. But this time I decided to dig deeper into my inventory and put something together that probably nobody else is wearing right now. I remembered this amazing fur coat from Dami, an old gacha from forever ago. The whole outfit ended up being a mix of old and new, plus a few freebies thrown in.
I think I like Gogo as a blonde, but it’s getting harder when some hair brands just don’t do good blonde textures anymore. I don’t know what happened to Stealthic, but the blondes just aren’t hitting like they used to. It didn’t work for this look at all, so I switched to a light brown instead. This hair was supposed to be part of Fifty Linden Friday, but I still ended up paying like L$199 because I needed the full pack just to change the style. Not really a sale if you can’t even use the features, right?
Overall I’m feeling a little burnt out with my inventory, and honestly with where clothing is at in Second Life right now. It feels like we’ve hit a bit of a standstill. I should already have everything I want and need at this point. And yet… I still keep buying things. I guess I’m doing my part to keep the economy going.
I’ve secretly been hoping for some Winter hairstyles from designers (scarves, hats, earmuffs) and Wasabi Pills creator must have read my mind cos she just released this gorgeous Brrree hairstyle. This hairstyle has a scarf attached that includes HUD to change 16 different colors & textures (some are stripes). I think a few of the colors stripes are Harry Potter themed, so people doing the Hogwarts RP would probably really love this hair.
For weeks, I have been frustrated with the alpha textures on mesh hair not showing up properly with shadows enabled, so I kind of tossed a lot of the hairstyles aside until finally, last night I read the notecard that came with mesh hair.
There seems to be a bug related to alpha textures in all mesh enabled viewers.
This bug won’t let you see alpha textures on meshes so part of your hair can “disappear”. It should have something to do with the shadow feature and it appears to be random.
So if you see that some strands of hair have “disappeared” just try to detach and re-attach your hair and the bug should fix itself (this worked for me and for other people affected).
You know when a notecard is labelled IMPORTANT MESH INFO – PLEASE READ!! I never read those. I guess I should from now on, I will read ALL notecards, lol.
It’s day 15 of Blackout August and I finally left my platform. I went to the FLF Bday Bash for the free gifts and it was actually really fun to click through everything and feel that familiar rush of new items piling into my inventory. There are hundreds of gifts here, so if you enjoy opening boxes and trying things on, this event will keep you busy. After spending nothing, I teleported home and put together my outfit.
Even though I’m doing this no buy challenge, I have to admit FLF Bday Bash is a great event. Everything, even some fatpacks, is just L$50. If something still catches my eye in September, I will grab it then. For now, the freebies are more than enough.
I found some really cute clothing at the event, but I ended up wearing the Maret dress from Pixicat, which was free at June’s Shop & Hop. Honestly, I still have so many Shop & Hop items waiting to be sorted and blogged.
This photo was taken at Mirai Melody. I have visited before, but now it has a futuristic twist! I love all of the colors and chaos behind me.
What I have learned on day 15 of not spending is that changing my outfit in Second Life is just as fun with freebies as it is with paid items. The feeling is pretty much the same for me.
My last post featuring the Lollipop had me looking through my “food” folder (yep! I have one!) and I found Pink Fuel’s adorable Happy Donut. The donut is scripted with 11 different flavors, yummm!
Winter is not over yet, so these sexy little Apollo18 jackets from Sweetest Goodbye are just perfect to keep the cold weather away. I’m not wearing anything underneath the jacket cos I’m admiring my cleavage in 3-D, this is why I looove sculpted tops, you can actually peer inside and cam all around. The jacket is all sculpted and includes cuffs on the glove layers — so you can pair it with ANYTHING in your inventory (jackets, shirts and undershirts), cos it does not take up a layer.
These are so sexy, visit Sweetest Goodbye to see all four of the available colors. I’m wearing Pink, Blue, and Black. Navy is not shown here, but it’s similar to the Black one.
