These articles are being passed around amongst people on my Plurk timeline, and even though I'm not an Aussie I'm still shocked. I hope this is isn't true! It's alarming, it's strange. Censoring SL is like censoring the internet. Let people decide for themselves?
There is only 12 days left until Christmas!!!! Are you feeling festive this year? I’m feeling festive, although I’ve been too busy to set up any decor in SL or take holiday photos. I’ll work on more of both next week.
I spent the past few days preparing JuicyBomb to go “offline” this weekend. It will remain online but renamed & moved to a different place on the grid. More on that later! JuicyBomb was located between two Juicy sims, and my neighbor, Yabu. The decision to let it go was not that difficult, cos I really don’t have the time to manage three commercial sims anymore, so I consolidated, and now there’s just Juicy and Juicy La Jolla. More waterfront for everyone! 🙂

It’s attached to the attached to the Eva Bustier from Lark that I’m wearing, but I couldn’t make it transparent without turning the entire bustier transparent too, so I just went with it. Let’s pretend this oversight (I think) is a cool new trend, or something.
I’m wearing the new My Studded Shorts from Monso, with materials! I don’t have much experience with materials in SL, cos it’s still quite new, but I was able to see the difference after playing around with my Windlight Setting. My usual WL setting is too soft to see any noticeable difference, so I played around with one that’s more contrasted to show you guys how materials are supposed to be, if you can view them. I’m using the official SL viewer.

My dress today is the Lovely Camellia (Hanbok dress) from BCC. I love this pink/mint green color combination, although I want one of the rainbow ones too! Gacha is fun, but sometimes not that fun….
I’m willing to bet that a lot of people haven’t heard of Canimal. This brand was one of my favorites in SL way way back in uh.. 2007-2008. I never did like the skins but I loved the casual clothes and some accessories. I haven’t worn my Canimal items in a long time, so when I read that Canimal is closing, I wondered what took so long? Nothing new was released for over one and a half years, so it didn’t come as a surprise.
I wonder if Canimal Zephyr will relaunch under a new brand or is this truly goodbye?
My prediction is that in 2011, we will see lots of “oldbie” designers re-branding or launching new brands to stay fresh.
I’m posting a picture of a few of my favorite Canimal items from back in the day. These things are considered so-so now, the seams are more noticeable than before. I was pretty newb then so I didn’t know to look for seams, and they didn’t really matter that much then. Designers in SL have improved so much and we pretty much expect items to be seamless or pretty darn close.

It’s my birthday month, and I couldn’t be more excited about October! My friends gifted me a new Teegle horse for my birthday, which is quickly becoming a cherished tradition. I took my new horse for a ride around Aurelias, admiring all of the autumn decorations going up.
I’ve recently become really into horses, and wow, I had no idea how expensive this hobby could be! Equestrian activities are super popular in Second Life, and I’ve found tons of amazing horses and riding accessories. However, I’ve noticed a lack of riding outfits, especially ones designed for my LaraX body. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that designers will realize how big the equestrian community is in Second Life and start creating more riding outfits. I’m particularly interested in Victorian/Regency-style outfits, not just the traditional cowboy ones. Don’t get me wrong, I love the cowboy style too, but there’s so much more out there!
My newest horse is a Teegle Tennessee Walking Horse, and I also have a wonderfully chonky Belgian Horse. I adore these two because of their size and appearance. Teegle offers a wide variety of horse breeds, including smaller ones, but these two just seem to fit me perfectly.

With the rise of gatcha resale shops in Second Life, Gogo and I would like to see who’s willing to pay what for one-of-a-kind collectible items. This item will be no mod/no copy/transfer. That means if you want to buy it, raise the price, and resell, you can. We’re interested in how far this goes.
If you even decide to just buy it and keep it for yourself, go for it! That’s also information worthy of us knowing.
