During 2007 and 2008, I had one site banner design for each year, and I stuck with it. For some reason I'm completely indecisive this year.. this design will be the THIRD one. I hope you guys like it! It's tropical, with a blue background to mimic water on the beach, and I've even changed my font!
I know, there are too many changes and I really don't like drastic change either, so I re-used my pink font style, and also included the background stars, which I've been using forever! I LOVE THOSE STARS, even though they're sooo easy to do in Photoshop.
I used to be an avid buyer and blogger of Stealthic hair, but something in 2023 made me cut back significantly. Recently, during FLF (Fifty Linden Fridays), I noticed the Pulse hairstyle and decided to check my inventory. Turns out, I already owned it. I decided to visit Stealthic to redeliver the upgraded HUDs to myself, and noticed that I’ve only purchased one Stealthic hairstyle in 2024.
Reflecting on last year, I realized why I had stopped buying so much Stealthic hair. It’s been a year and a half since the incident, so I feel comfortable sharing now. Stealthic had posted a bloggers search on Flickr, and I applied. Shockingly, within 5 minutes, I received an instant rejection from Blogotex. Seeing similar sentiments from other bloggers on their Flickr, I voiced my concerns on Twitter. Stealthic responded, claiming they “carefully evaluated every single application,” which felt insincere.
Having applied to numerous blogger searches, I was used to rejections, but they usually take 2-3 weeks, with results announced at the end. This timeframe shows respect to bloggers who are customers, the people who have been enthusistically promoting the brand for free. The instant rejection and harsh reactions from the Stealthic manager left a sour taste. Despite my consistent support and promotion of Stealthic hair, that experience made me lose enthusiasm for the brand.
My experience serves as a reminder: brands need to treat people with respect. Rejection is a part of life, but it should be handled with dignity. No brand is immune to the importance of positive promotion, and bad word-of-mouth can spread far and wide. Since some time has passed, I will start including all of the hairstyles that I own from Stealthic back on my blog.
Now, onto the main reason for this blog post. I attended SmokeFest for the first time, which I believe is another American Cancer Society/Relay For Life event in SL. This charity is incredibly active, currently hosting two major events in SL, including SL Fandom Con. Their fundraising efforts seem endless, given their significant endorsements from Linden Lab.
Inspired by the recent Olympics Air Pistol competition, I decided to buy a gun. The “Get It Done Gun” from Bueno was available at SmokeFest, and I couldn’t resist because it comes with a neat animation.
Today several amazing things happened. First, I became a rock star. Second, Pink Fuel released the most gorgeous Liya skin, but it is for the Catwa mesh head only. Third, I bought a Catwa head for the sole purpose of blogging the Liya skin. These things don’t usually happen all in the same day, since I’m usually not that social nor do I change my entire look on a whim.
I didn’t plan on buying any mesh heads since Project Bento is right around the corner. If you don’t know what that is, Project Bento will allow certain mesh heads to be editable (like default SL shapes). I don’t know much about it, but that’s the feature I’m most excited about.
Chances are good that if Pink Fuel creates something, I will blog it. I’m just not a huge fan of Catwa mesh heads, since I never found any skins I liked on it. I decided to give it a try today cos I wanted to wear the Liya skin, and I must say there are lots of products on Marketplace for Catwa. If you already own a Catwa head, I highly recommend the Liya skin from Pink Fuel. If you’re like me and tend to buy things just to blog then never wear them again, maybe wait for a Project Bento release so it’s editable.

Dekade is back, baby! OMGOMGOMGOMG! I’m really excited to be doing a skin review post cos I haven’t done one in awhile, and also I really like this new Bridget skin from Dekade. Bridget is one of two new women’s skin, and there’s also a skin for the guys, too!
I’m wearing the Light skin tone with Light Brows and a few of the lipstick tattoos. This skin also has Dark and Red brows, hair base, eye makeups and lipsticks on the tattoo layer.
My lingerie today is the Desiderio set from Fishy Strawberry, which will be available at Juicy Crush On You event this Friday!
Who doesn’t love a good uniform? This outfit is too sexy for the real military, but it’s just right for virtual dress up. Fishy Strawberry released the Army Pin-Up outfit at Uber, and I just love everything about it! The matching hat is a fantastic addition.
