When I saw the Cynful ‘Denim RetroRomper’, I knew right away I wanted to wear it with artilleri’s fabulous Trixie hairstyle (with texture changing hair scarf). I wanted to make a sexy girl mechanic look… what do you think? I would totally get my oil change here if the mechanics had such cute & sexy uniforms!
Gala Phoenix has just released the Elf 2 skins – like the previous Elf skins, but with even more fabulous and NEW makeups!!! I was so obsessed with Elf when it came out, because the face has a cute petite nose and a great line of makeups.
These new Elf skins come in 6 makeups (2 variations each), freckles, Light/Dark versions of each skin tone, and all the usual options from previous Gala skins.
These are all so pretty, it’s very hard to pick a favorite. Thankfully, all Gala fatpacks are only $3,000L and you get ALL makeups & 2 skin tones!!
You guys are so awesome!! Thank you for answering my hair color poll, it will help me decide which hair color(s) to wear more going forward. I thought people might be bored of seeing Blonde on me, but so far it has the most votes!
Today I’m wearing an unnatural hair color, cos I think it really goes well with the color scheme of this outfit. I just love the Dominique 2 hairstyle from Wasabi Pills, it frames the face very nicely.
Hucci has a new collection of short mesh dresses out! I’m wearing the Cinnamon Dress, it’s oh so colorful, and pairing it with the new Hucci Kayla Pumps.
Do you like fun animations? The new animations add-on for LeLutka mesh heads are amazing! I’m a huge fan of cute things, and chewing gum just seems adorable, even more so virtually. LeLutka released Gum Gum Boom and Delights Cream. These animations are for gum chewing and eating ice cream, but I suppose they can be used for some adult things too… use your imagination. Watch the official video, it’s definitely sexy.
I am dressed head to toe in donuts! I love sweet prints, and it doesn’t get any sweeter than the donuts print on my shoes and top.
Djinn & Tonic has just released two very interesting designs. These two dresses are different than dresses you would normally see around the grid. I really like the colors on the Death of a Lover dress, but the Mask (traffic light headpiece thing) is kind of too out there for me to wear. However, I think the whole outfit would be really great for fashion photos.
Death of a Lover; Roses, Noir & Roses, Scarletta
To be considered ugly. (this is the name out the outfit, not my opinion! I think it’s very cute.)
This dress has a great lace pattern on the skirt and pretty roses on the collar piece. I imagine that Frida Kahlo, the famous Mexican painter, might wear a dress like this.
When my friend Melanie showed me a cool gadget that she found on Marketplace yesterday, I said I have to share this with everyone on my blog! I’ve been playing with facial emotes for years, usually via an emotes menu that comes with a scripted gadget or a free HUD (found on Marketplace).
Back in June, I even spent $350L to purchase an eye focusing HUD to keep my eyes still or moved them into a different position for some pictures. I thought it was a great investment at the time, and even recommended it to a few friends.
Well, the FREE AnyPose Expression HUD that Melanie showed me does ALL of this… and MORE. This HUD has all the default facial emotes that can be played one at a time, or several at once to create a unique look. The HUD is even scripted to focus eyes and change to different hands poses — so you can make any pose in SL more interesting. This is a fashion blogger’s dream HUD and I’m just amazed that it’s FREE and not $300-$500L, which I would have willingly paid for to have a single HUD that does it all.
Eyes!
Hand poses!
For today’s post, I took off all of my prim lashes and used Mozz Tattoo Lashes cos I didn’t feel like re-adjusting my lashes for all the different facial emotions. Normally I just adjust my prim lashes to fit — so I have a few in my inventory for “smiling” emotes.
I hope you guys find this HUD review useful, and do check it out, it’s amazing!
Every year, right before Thanksgiving, Black Friday deals start rolling in, both in real life and in Second Life. I always think to myself that maybe I should’ve bought less throughout the year, because by the time the sales arrive, I already have everything I wanted.
This year, I made a deliberate choice to buy slowly and only buy things I’ll actually wear right away. If you’ve been in SL as long as I have, you’ve probably bought everything twice or maybe five times already. I found the sweetest holiday accessories just by searching my own inventory. Most of what I’m wearing today isn’t new. Some pieces I bought years ago and never wore or blogged.
With how the economy is going in real life, even if you’re personally unaffected, it feels smart to scale back a little and get more joy out of what you already have or pick up items you truly want when they’re on sale, not just because they’re on sale.
The thing with Black Friday in Second Life is that it’s not that exciting anymore. Everything’s already on sale all year. Brands also exclude newer releases from the sale, sometimes the last three months of items, so there’s not much of a deal for anyone who shops often like I do.
I’m trying to have the longest Christmas ever in Second Life, so as far as I’m concerned, it starts now. The holiday season’s here, and I’m fully ready for twinkling lights and vacation.
