Le Look is giving out free items to complete a whole male and female avatar, starting today. All you have to do is join the Le Look group in-world, and teleport to the Le Look sim and touch the item to receive it. I’ve tried more than a couple of times today, it was incredibly laggy and really hard to get the items! Maybe my computer doesn’t have enough specs to handle the crowd — but yah, I never received all 4 of the items: 1 Belleza male skin, 1 male shape, 1 LeLutka female skin, 1 shape.
Thankfully Minnu is awesome and sent me the Estelle v2 skin so I can show you guys here!
I looove the new brows on Estelle 2, especially the light brows one — a totally new set of eyebrows and it’s gorgeous. I can’t wait to see more makeups for this Estelle v2 face!!

As you may have heard, Squinternet Larnia passed away this morning. I’m so sad SL lost such a talented creator, but also feel incredibly blessed that she shared her talents with us for so many years. Rest in peace, Squinternet, may your lovely creations live on in SL forever.
My friend Khea Karas of Malt, released this gorgeous new Selena dress with a floral print today. It’s so lovely and goes perfectly well with the MAE necklace from Donna Flora. You can actually still buy Donna Flora items at her store, until tier is no longer paid and/or the sim goes away, whichever happens first. My deepest wish is for her store to stay on the grid forever, so I do hope people pay a visit and buy tons of stuff.

I was so excited yesterday when Tuli sent everyone who has purchased the Eva skins an upgraded Eva V2 skin. All Eva skins have been replaced with the less shiny v2 – and they look much, much softer. I think this is a good change and the skin is easier to photograph now in more Windlight settings.
I’m wearing the new Maxi Bohemian Strapless Dress from KA Designs. This dress is SO pretty, but the original skirt length was longer than what I would have liked, so I decided to modify the prims to shorten the length and make it more like a Bohemian baby doll dress. It’s not perfectly even, but it looks pretty cool 🙂

This isn’t a subtle dusting of sand. It looks like Gogo has been stranded on a deserted island or crawling through the desert for three days. Compared to Izzie’s previous Beach Sand tattoo add-on, this one has a much finer texture, and I think it’s cuter too.
Each Sandstorm tone comes with four different shades, ranging from a light coating of sand to a much darker, grittier look. The darkest shade is my favorite. If you’re into roleplay or just want your avatar to look like they’ve been through something, this is a fun little add-on. Pair it with some dirt or blood layers and you’ll fit right in. There’s a whole segment of Second Life residents who seem determined to look like they’re permanently in combat.
My outfit today is another free find. Analogic has the Grazy Set (top and skirt) available as a free group gift, and the group is free to join. I’m also wearing the Abby Headband, which is another free gift. I only found this store because I follow TeleportHub on X, where they post freebie updates all the time. Freebies have always been a big part of Second Life, and sites like TeleportHub and FabFree have been covering them for years.
Which is why I still don’t understand why Linden Lab thinks access to freebies is a worthwhile Premium perk. It isn’t. I’m already drowning in freebies. This was my first time visiting Analogic, and I found around 30 free group gifts that I could grab immediately. The store looks like it’s built around full-perm mesh products from a bunch of different creators, so the branding is kind of all over the place, but there’s a lot of stuff. I’m not really a snob about whether something started as full-perm mesh. It was free, and it was cute enough.
As the title says, I was a cloud in Second Life for 24 hours and it sucked! I decided to update my viewer on Monday. Unbeknownst to me, some inventory maintenance was also taking place on the grid at the time, so my inventory vanished. I did a quick Google search for missing inventory and tried so many different things to get the inventory back. I deleted my cache. I did a fresh installation of my viewer(s). I visited a water region. On my computer, I replaced this random inventory cache file. Nothing worked! I came across this blog post about Inventory Management and Performance, which advised me to contact support as soon as possible.
More Hair Fair 09 previews! Curio hair will be releasing 5 new hairstyles at Hair Fair. Some styles include two versions (with or without bangs) and a scripted color-changing headband. Rita Groshomme makes lovely vintage-inspired and cute hairstyles, I can definitely always spot her hair because they have a unique look unlike any other shop in SL.

I have a moderate fast system and it wasn’t to bad later in the day. Took approximately 2-3 minutes once I clicked on the items to get them delivered. They are nice quality .. as to be expected by their sources. Only thing I did have to do was relog directly into the LE LOOK sim because I couldn’t get a teleport to land from anywhere.
Agreed. No one was getting anything this afternoon when I eventually got into the sim (woot!). Someone had been there half an hour clicking to no avail. I left after about ten minutes with no goodies. While the idea is fantastic, I wonder that they didn’t expect the full sim and the stress on the scripts and servers.
It was NOT working this afternoon at all. I heard that it was earlier in the day. So hopefully they will leave things up there for awhile for all the 12,000 plus group member that might want to TP in and get things *wink*. Seems like there might have been a better plan.
Popularity is a good thing, BUT. Reminds me of my first full sim experience at the Last Call sales. So a trip down memory land anyway. I didn’t need the skins, and imagine they will be blogged a lot as someone will get there when scripts are working. Meanwhile, folks — do not be discouraged. It is NOT you. I have a great connection and almost no lag. Le Look and the new continent were both bad for me today. Everywhere else? Priceless 😀
