Yay new Wintery hairstyles from Tiny Bird! I’m wearing the Santa Lucia in Chocolate and Merritt’s Hatt in Vanilla. The Merritt’s Hatt hairstyle is a collaboration between Tiny Bird & Reek, and is color changeable via a menu.
I’m also wearing Tuli’s latest group gift, the Eva skin in Tone 3. This skin is currently available to group members only, so join the Tuli Update group if you want a preview!
Here I go…. I don’t review many of these “celebrity” skins because the sources are most likely not legit. There, I said it. Many people refuse to wear a celebrity face but places like Redgrave, Glance cater to these looks and there are tons of you out there that WANT to look like Beyonce, Doutzen, Devon, Adriana, or whoever.
I’m wearing the newest release from GLANCE skins, it’s the Doutzen line. I’m guessing this was named for Doutzen Kroes (the model) — the face looks a lot like hers. These skins at first glance are pretty decent – I picked the least grainy of all the new faces to review here. The skins have issues (seams, grainy) but they’re overall “nice” — nice enough for a $4,000L fatpack splurge? Sure! I did. I’m not saying I will wear these all the time, but I will wear it sometimes.
Doutzen comes with 10 makeups and no options. I wish there were different brow options, or something else.. maybe cleavage options? Shown above is 6 of the 10 makeups available and the skins are only available in this skin tone. So if you like light-tan, then this is for you.
The body is pretty smooth and decent, I think that this is Doutzen version 2, so it’s much nicer than version 1 (which I didn’t purchase because I thought the quality was too poor).
I am a perfectionist though, and I noticed this massive leg seam! Yikes.

What Next has a furniture set & Retro TV Camera out at Vintage Fair! My favorite thing has to be the Retro TV Camera, cos it’s just so super cute (and detailed) and also includes a camera operating animation.
I put together my outfit today using some new releases that you’ll find at Vintage Fair. The Sugar Free top from essences is so super darling, and has such a colorful print. I am pairing it with the new Fanciers necklace & earrings from undefined lilies (the teal on the gemstone matches the shirt).
I love this look! I look like I could be a guest on one of the retro late night tv shows.

There’s several different options for wearing teeth in SL. The most simple is wearing a lipstick tattoo layer with teeth (open mouth) drawn onto it. I’ve also worn just the teeth tattoo layer, alpha cut out with prim teeth attachment, and finally, the most complex is wearing sculpted prim teeth.
I love dressing up a plain Base skin with additional tattoo layers, but you can follow this tutorial using a skin with as much or as little makeup as you’d like.

You could skip step 2 and 3 and go straight to step 4 if you’re already wearing a skin with makeup.
3. Makeup1 eyeshadow (included with Lara Hurley Skins “Ava” pack) | Glamorize – Glimpse Lips2 (Gentle Red)
I like the Glamorize – Glimpse Lips2 (Gentle Red) lipstick tattoo layer cos it fits most of my skins and also has nice teeth drawn onto it. Any brand that you like would work for step 4.
After adding a tattoo lipstick layer, don’t forget to adjust your lips! In some very rare instances, the lips may not need adjusting, but I’ve always had to tweak mine by fixing the lips ratio and other mouth tweaks until it looks natural to me. A new lipstick tattoo layer should be treated like a new skin, so tweak, tweak, tweak and save the new shape.
Add a pair of glasses and you’ve got a sexy geeky chic-y! 🙂

Rewind is upon us, and you’re definitely going to find me among one of the people rushing in to buy cool stuff there! There’s a lot of stuff in this picture due to me trying to decorate my backgrounds more, but check out the teen band posters in the back! You can get these Spice Girls and hair band inspo posters at Rewind, which opens tomorrow. There’s some other cool stuff out by RC Cluster and other brands at new events too, which I’ll list in the credits below.
Now, check out this awesome bento pose HUD. It’s gonna give Catwa a run for its money, right? This facial expression HUD is by Happy Dispatch, and is only 480L at SaNaRae. You can control eye and mouth settings separately… you can even adjust the extremity of each pose! Everything from subtle smirks to goofy smiles can be created. It’s a must-have for every blogger.

Back in February, I blogged about the new LAQ Era2 Mesh Head and highlighted some of its exciting new features. One standout was the Supreme UHD skin, boasting a higher resolution that truly impressed. Recently, while browsing through Flickr, I stumbled upon a breathtaking ad from LAQ showcasing their new Elvae skin. The shine and texture of the skin looked absolutely amazing—I simply had to try it!
One thing I love about PBR (Physically Based Rendering) is the enhanced shine on skins in specific lighting conditions. It adds a level of realism that’s hard to beat. I’m hoping more skin designers will explore PBR and update their processes to offer us a wealth of lighting add-ons.
After tweaking my shape to match the Elvae skin and the LAQ Era2 Elle mesh head, I was blown away by the realism. It could easily be mistaken for one of those popular mesh people rezzed around Second Life or maybe even resemble characters from the upcoming inZOI game.
