Meet Nora, she’s the lovely new freckles skin from KA Designs. I’ve been trying to mod my shape for a few days to suit this skin, but then last night I decided I would just make a whole new shape!! This is a more slender face than my regular shape, and I really like how it turned out.
The KA Nora skins have 10 makeups per skin tone, and 3 brows versions (Dark, Light, Red) and hair base option. These are my favorite makeups from KA, they’re really well done and beautiful.

These two newly released hairstyles from Exile are rigged mesh, and sooooo pretty! They may be my favorite mesh hair so far this year, cos everything just falls into place, and no alpha prims are in the way obstructing my lashes! I love thisssssss….. and they’ll also be perfect for skin photography cos it shows off the face very well.
I think I haven’t worn anything from Whippet & Buck since mid-2010 cos the designer (Dakota Buck) said that my look was generic and dated, and that I am not a fashion blogger but a shopping blogger. I guess it offended me a bit, so I deleted every W&B item from my inventory and overlooked all the new releases for about a year and a half now? I will say that I don’t mind if my blog/look is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I see a lot of bloggers/shoppers wearing W&B items that I would consider far more dated than me or even more generic. If some designers only want certain people to shop at their brand or blog their items, they should make that clear… so generic people don’t make the mistake of showing their brand any love.
Since I’m on the official press team for Collabor88, I’ve decided to give W&B another whirl. Hope you guys like the lingerie, it’s quite lovely and is available at this month’s Collabor88 event.

Most people know this iconic line from Gone with the Wind, but have they actually sat through all four hours of the movie? If you haven’t, you should at least once. Scarlett O’Hara isn’t exactly likable, but she was a survivor, and that’s probably why she’s remained such a memorable character all these years later.
I recently rewatched Gone with the Wind to get in the mood for photographing my current obsession from this round of The Arcade.
My friends were absolutely gushing over the Monique dress from PurpleMoon, and of course we all wanted the rare Floral version. With the right styling, it looks like something Scarlett herself might have worn while dramatically descending a staircase at Tara. As you all know, I have a weakness for period-inspired fashion, so even though the print does remind me a little bit of a floral sofa, I was willing to overlook that minor detail. The gloves are a lovely touch, and I’m even wearing the matching heels underneath the dress, though you can’t see them in these photos.
I normally don’t pay much attention to gacha these days, but once in a blue moon I’ll keep playing until I get exactly what I want.
Speaking of that famous line, let’s circle back to it for a moment.
The thing amusing me this week is watching some designers encourage other creators to drop support for LaraX, while also suggesting customers should simply switch bodies instead.
This dress is made for LaraX. I bought it because it’s made for LaraX. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t have.
I’ve never switched mesh bodies just to wear a particular outfit, and I probably never will. If something isn’t made for the body I’m using, I move on. There is so much talent in Second Life that no single brand is irreplaceable.
Until something better comes along, I’ll continue wearing Maitreya LaraX. It does everything I need it to do. It’s funny to me that there are still residents happily wearing system bodies, yet some people act as though using a mesh body that’s still one of the most widely supported on the grid somehow makes you outdated.
I’m not resistant to change. I’m not afraid of trying new things. I’m just not interested in switching to something that doesn’t offer me anything better than what I already have.
This sexy little Alice in Wonderland outfit is from Deviance, one of the best places to get cute costumes inspired by fairytale characters. I love to dress up in SL, but I usually stick to cute/naughty costumes, not sci-fi or scary stuff. I want to try more sci-fi stuff though!
This post features the new Vive9 Carrot skins. I will admit that I did not like this brand when it was first launched, because I thought the work was sloppy and had seams everywhere. Seams are unforgivable, especially in places like the face, torso, legs, or other highly visible places. I was so pleasantly surprised when I tried on Carrot skins and I liked the face and didn’t notice seams everywhere.
This skin is not perfect but it is good enough to buy and wear.
I did notice one thing that annoyed me, and I can’t believe I’m saying this cos it sounds really weird but the palms are too light for the skin tone, and there’s a seam on the hand (which I can live with because it’s not a highly visible area). Here’s a picture to show you what I’m talking about:
Now that I have THAT out of the way, onto the makeups and the face itself, which is fantastic! I’m such a fan of youthful faces and rosy cheeks <3
Each skin tone has 9 makeups, and each makeup has 3 brow option (Blonde, Brown, Red) and a freckles version. I’m wearing the Blonde brows and Apricot skin tone here.
