I feel like Polly Pocket in this shade of Blonde hair.
This is the newest Cookie style from Hairy Situations, the newly formed brand to replace House of Heart and Bewitched (by Sheltered Heart). I wear a wide range of Blonde hair colors, but this is NOT what I would consider Blonde, unless I was going for that plastic doll look.
Oh, and I don’t mean to be a hater, cos this hair actually looks pretty good in a better texture (see Bitter Chocolate below):
Am I wrong here? Blondies in SL – would you wear this shade of Blonde??? I wouldn’t on a daily basis unless it was part of a costume or a themed outfit requiring LEMON YELLOW hair.
The Dandita Romper from Katat0nik is so cute! I’m in love with the Blush and Silver colors shown on the ad, but I went with Green for my outfit today cos it is the color of MONEY! I thought this romper looked like a dealer’s outfit, but when I tried searching for a ‘casino’ in-world, the viewer said it was outside of the TOS and did not return any results. Darn, no gambling RP I guess!
I am at the 1920’s Berlin Project sim today. I had to leave, cos I wasn’t dressed right for this sim, so I didn’t get to explore all of it. What I did see was lovely though! I would love to come back here for more photos, but probably stealthily… so I don’t get in trouble. 🙂
I don't often blog skins that are still a work in progress because that's teasing, and that's not nice. But I wanted to share the new BeBae Fiona skin that Torie Senne is currently working on. I like it a lot and this is actually the 7th revision of this skin. I like giving feedback if the skin maker actually 'gets' what I want. Since I'm not all that technical I don't know what they have to do to get that look, so if I say 'hey add more shine', and they're able to do it in a good way, I'm totally happy!
I started out SL as a Brunette, but about half a year later, I decided that my avatar would make a better Blonde. I think that most skin brands in SL are better suited for Brunettes. It's very hard to find a skin that will work with all shades of Blondes, and even harder for Red heads. Brunettes have it GOOD in SL when it comes to finding a skin that will match the brows perfectly.
I know I switch a lot between Blonde/Brunette, but 80% of my hairstyles are Blonde.

Elate created this elegant Elenia Swansong Gown in Sky, Cream, and Sunny. Each dress includes 3 different size skirts and 2 lengths for Tall or Petite girls. The Elenia AO is included that works beautifully with this gown. The 5 standing poses included with this AO does not have head movement (I think because it was uploaded with high priority instead of low priority), so it's not something I could use every day but works great for photos.

When brands leave popular social media platforms, it becomes incredibly hard to keep up with their releases. That’s what happened with Toksik. For whatever reason, probably money, they decided to leave Flickr, and since then it’s been a challenge to track their new releases or even look back at what I already own or might want to buy. I find it a little odd that so many designers say they left Flickr because it’s “too expensive,” without thinking of that small yearly cost as part of their marketing budget.
Anyway, I saw the Vicious outfit at Nightshade and debated whether to buy the fatpack for L$4,000, which includes all the colors, or try my luck with the gacha machine. I ended up getting a few friends together, and we all played until everyone had a full outfits in all the colors, including the rare hat and collar. I spent less than half of what the fatpack costs, so that’s my suggestion if you want this outfit too. I’m still not a fan of gacha though. If this outfit had been a regular release, it would have come as a complete set instead of being split into pieces. It’s just a dress with a hat, after all.
In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new Premium Plus plan with no stipend. Designers are thrilled, of course. This plan costs $143 a year if you pay annually, or $191 if you pay monthly. But if you’re someone who buys lindens occasionally throughout the year, this plan probably isn’t for you. You don’t really save much, if anything at all, once you factor in the lack of a stipend.
I have to admit, I’m feeling a bit burnt out on Halloween events across the grid. I’m ready for cozy fall vibes and something more cheerful. But if you’re a Halloween lover, this is definitely your month. There are tons of hunts, freebies, and events happening right now, including Shop & Hop.

The t-shirt I’m wearing today is a recent group gift from The Loft (via subscribo). It says “Screw Prim Limits This Shit Looks Good!” LOL, I couldn’t have agreed more.
Should see some of what passes for ‘red’… As a designated SL redhead I’ve seen everything from bright orange to ‘brown’ that thinks it’s ‘red’… Personally I prefer a dark red bordering on black… A few brands can do that pretty well, but even some ‘big name’ brands do reds poorly at best…
I prefer softer tones for my hair shades so I am not keen on this blonde shade. I think the gradient on that particular style is cool and would look better with better textures…rather than that sickly yellow, which is a poor substitute for “blonde”
I’ve tinted many a hairstyles in my sl days and from that photo of the Bitter Chocolate, it looks like the same Blonde shade tinted brown…
For a brand like HoH/Bewitched and has been in the hair business for years I would have expected better!
! horrid, theres better free blonde textures out there. it looks like a bad dye job on a greying milk maid, all it is missing is two buckets over her shoulder on a stick
I think the world is big enough to have every range of blonde and have it be ok. If you dont like a texture or a hair style then you dont buy, someone else out there will love it.
I think one thing to keep in mind is also monitor settings and lightsettings used in SL… I’ve had it before that I made a texture that looked allright on my screen, and when seeing it on my partners I was like ‘WTF is THAT?!’ :-/ doesn’t make it easier as a designer LOL
anyhow.. blonde is damn difficult to make (tried it once and gave up) so my big respect to anybody who manages to create a goodlooking blonde texture 😀
