I’m playing with emotes again but I couldn’t capture a nice smile today, so here’s a half-smile 🙂
This new Lily hair from I Love Olive is messy, sexy, and has long wavy locks, totally reminds me of beach hair.
Usually I don’t rave about new hair designers much, cos most of them are not very good, but I think I Love Olive has a lot of potential. I would recommend some flexi prims in future styles to add some movement to the hair, and also work on the sculpted shapes so they’re smoother. Since I don’t make hair, I can’t really say exactly how to fix all these issues, but they’re just recommendations to add even more ‘wow’ to their existing styles.
This isn’t a subtle dusting of sand. It looks like Gogo has been stranded on a deserted island or crawling through the desert for three days. Compared to Izzie’s previous Beach Sand tattoo add-on, this one has a much finer texture, and I think it’s cuter too.
Each Sandstorm tone comes with four different shades, ranging from a light coating of sand to a much darker, grittier look. The darkest shade is my favorite. If you’re into roleplay or just want your avatar to look like they’ve been through something, this is a fun little add-on. Pair it with some dirt or blood layers and you’ll fit right in. There’s a whole segment of Second Life residents who seem determined to look like they’re permanently in combat.
My outfit today is another free find. Analogic has the Grazy Set (top and skirt) available as a free group gift, and the group is free to join. I’m also wearing the Abby Headband, which is another free gift. I only found this store because I follow TeleportHub on X, where they post freebie updates all the time. Freebies have always been a big part of Second Life, and sites like TeleportHub and FabFree have been covering them for years.
Which is why I still don’t understand why Linden Lab thinks access to freebies is a worthwhile Premium perk. It isn’t. I’m already drowning in freebies. This was my first time visiting Analogic, and I found around 30 free group gifts that I could grab immediately. The store looks like it’s built around full-perm mesh products from a bunch of different creators, so the branding is kind of all over the place, but there’s a lot of stuff. I’m not really a snob about whether something started as full-perm mesh. It was free, and it was cute enough.
I am horrible about leaving my phone at home – like really horrible. This happened twice last week and a coworker of mine could not get why I really didn’t care! Sometimes being without a phone is freeing: No obsessive checking of social media or the news and no unwanted phone calls. Just…quiet.
Second Life is like that for me at times as well. You see I have this super secret alt that nobody knows – in fact she is still dressed in her noob clothes! So for those days when all I want to do is roam around looking at pretty places, I log her in. Peace and quiet and pretty pictures is all we need at times.
Save yourself, don’t go to The Arcade. I normally skip rounds and avoid gacha events, but I saw something I wanted this week. Even though I told my friend I’d play maybe two or three times for these Rift Eyes from Avi Glam, I ended up playing 69 times at L$75 per pull. It’s five times more than I’d normally pay for an Avi Glam eyes fatpack, and honestly, I don’t even think I would’ve paid for a fatpack if it had been sold normally.
The thing with gacha is that it can be very addictive, especially if you want to win a rare and you don’t have a set budget, so you don’t have to stop. You can just keep playing until you win. I gave up on winning the Rare 2 pack on the first day after about forty or fifty pulls and decided to buy it second hand on Marketplace. Then the next day, when I didn’t see anything listed, I played some more. I haven’t played a machine with this much intensity in a long time, so it even surprised me how quickly I lost track of my spending or how fast I was hitting the buy button.
In hindsight, I should’ve stuck to my rule of playing only two or three times per machine, but I ended up going all in on two machines and playing way too many times to collect all the pieces.
Even though I find gacha frustrating, I get the dopamine rush it gives. If you win something you really want right away, it feels amazing. If you find yourself on the losing end, try to remember that you can always buy it later on Marketplace for a fraction of the cost of playing.
Eventually, I did see a few sets listed on Marketplace, but by then, I’d already spent nearly L$6,000 on one machine. Oops.
FAB Design has cute fun styles, and they’re all perfect for summer.
I *LOVE* this outfit!! Could it be any pinker?!!! <3<3 I think I’m channeling my inner Britney here (before she went crazy…)
***NOTE*** I’m a bad fashionista! So apparently I had forgotten to take off an underpants layer I had on. Please ignore the white layer underneath these shorts 😛
Normally I save the nudies for last, but today let's do things in reverse! Check out these new Laqroki April skins, just one of the many beautiful faces from the Glow line of skins. This skin is perfect for red heads, because it includes natural looking red brows and a light dusting of freckles. However, the skin will work for Brunettes too since a version of Brown brows is included for each makeup. I've also tried it with Blonde hair, and you can totally get away with wearing Blonde hair too! <3
Here are all 10 of the makeups in Fair skin tone:
Yep, this gorgeous fatpack will only cost you $1990L. The price is incredible, I can't imagine anybody would buy just one when they can have all 10 for a low price.
As you can see, the April skin is made for lighter girls, since the only skin tones available are Milky and Fair skin (shown above). I've decided show mostly the Red brows in this blog post, but as you can see, the Brown brows are incredible!! I think this skin makes such a striking Brunette, and perfect for that sweet pin-up girl look.
One last thing I wanted to mention about Laqroki skins that not a lot of people know about: open wide and you'll find a nice surprise inside your mouth! TONSILS! Mallory Cowen's amazing attention to detail by adding realistic looking tonsils inside the mouth is something that has not been overlooked.. I LOVE IT.
Gala Phoenix has released more of her skins in Freckles version!! Available now at the Curio sim, there are 8 new addition so if you’re a freckles loving girl, ruuuuuuuuuuuuun to Curio!
Shown above are newest makeups that have been frecklized (is this a real word?) in Pearl, Classic, Lumine, and Luster tone. It’s so hard to decide which tone is my favorite between these lovely shades!
To match my Curio Vex makeup with yummy red lips, I’m wearing a sassy little cheerleader outfit from NYMPHETAMINE Boutique and the lovely Juicy Classic pumps in Apple!
I love Nymphetamine Boutique, and was very upset to get a note through Paeoti Pomeray’s subscribe-o-matic about her creations being stolen and the troubles she went through with Linden Lab and the thief. Show Nymphetamine your love and go get sexy!
You look so sexy on the first picture <3
Expressions add such a nice touch:)
Did you do that with a slow motion photography thingie?
I wish they made something that does that, keeps the lips sliiightly open sorta like the smile attachment, just subtle, for wearing all the time.
The lips glued together look is so dated
Good job for trying 🙂
BTW, nice nose 🙂
