After The Shoe-Disaster at faMESHed happened, I was curious to see what this month’s line-up would look like, and there seems to be a good mix of everything. If you read the blog post linked, do you think add-on mesh products should be allowed at an event like faMESHed? For example, SLink shoes created for SLink’s mesh feet are an add-on product, cos you need to buy the feet to make it work.

I’ll admit it, I love to tweak my avatar. I like tweaking my friends too, if they’ll let me tweak their shape (and sometimes without their permission too, like that one time I gave Wilma bigger and perkier boobs. And a few times after that, I tweaked other stuff but she noticed and yelled at me).
Over the past 3 years, I have made subtle but noticeable changes to my shape, to go with the skins I’m wearing or just to get bigger in size. My waist use to be a scary 35! I wouldn’t wear a shape that small now, but I liked it then.
This past week after reading all the gossip about Heidi Montag’s new face, I really think that the appeal of SL for many is the ability to have our sliders exactly how we want it. If you wanted more boobs, more height, more pouty lips, it’s just a click away.
Thankfully in SL, we can tweak as much as we want an it doesn’t cost a dime or possible complications. So happy tweaking!
What about you, do you like to tweak your face or has it remain unchanged over the years?
P.S., I’m keeping my ‘before’ face, but I like the ‘after’ too!

SLink recently released the Revolutionary Coat in Pink, and it's so well-textured and fits perfectly. Every girl in SL should get this, the color is very Barbie Pink, perfect for our own virtual Barbies (avatars). After I linked to my Ruthed.com post, a couple of people went out of their way to leave Anonymous “hate” comments that was neither necessary nor relevant. I have no issue with Yoko Leeroy’s pricing at all — in fact, I talked to her today, and now I have a clearer understanding of why her Pick was worded that way. It was rude, but she said that some fellow creators sent her IMs saying she was ruining their only source of income — which sounded familiar to me. When Eloh Eliot first released her skins PSD, some people also had the same outrage. And look where we are now? The skins economy is not ruin, and in fact, we have even more brands to choose from than before.
I am happy when I can talk things out with people who may offend me at first glance. I can’t say the same for some of you guys in SL though, who went out of your way to IM Yoko after my link and said, “I can’t believe what Gogo did to you!”
To people who went out of your way to IM Yoko, LOL @ YOU. It got you into her shop didn’t it? Shame on you, for trying to fuel the fire 🙂
