In case you missed the big announcement, KA Designs is now called DEKADE. I visited the Dekade sim and I just looove the new build and beachy city style. I’ll probably visit this sim frequently for in-world fashion photography.
A few of you guys have commented on my “big ass” recently and I assure you I haven’t made it bigger in awhile! You can thank the amazing designers of SL for nice plump ass-shadings!! 🙂
I’ve been taking full advantage of the ISON 40% sale before it ended and indulging in some weekend sales too. One of the treasures I picked up is the gorgeous Alayna Silk Shirt from ISON, and I couldn’t resist getting it in all the colors. It’s simply stunning! I also grabbed these adorable Fluffy Kitty Ears headband from Litterbug at Truth’s store. They add a sweet touch to any outfit.
Lately, I’ve been creating a bunch of bright EEPs (Environment Enhancement Project) for my blog. I like adding shadows, even though most Second Life residents aren’t fans of them on their faces. For me, shadows cast by the sun in studio lighting really make the fabric of the Alayna Silk Shirt stand out, even if it doesn’t feature any PBR textures.
During my visit to Shop & Hop, I picked up an amazing gift from Moon Amore. The Bride’s Dream Gown I found is perfect for fantasy or royal cosplay themes, like something straight out of Bridgerton.
For the past few years, I’ve made it a point to pick up the AO gift from BodyLanguage SLC. There are always a few great poses to mix into my regular AO. This year’s entire AO impressed me; it has all the basics you need to avoid standing like a noob. It’s perfect for your main avatar and great for alts too!
Thank you so much to everyone that reached out to me and asked for the Universal Layer ears to be added to the cheLLe – Powder Puff (Skin tone color corrector). It’s now updated! You should receive an update today from the Marketplace, or you can send yourself a redelivery on the website!
Do you looove Autumn weather? coverture has just released these cozy Border Knit sweaters in 8 colors! The sweater is sculpted to perfection and the textures are yummy. I love the different color combinations available, they’re perfect and cheerful for Autumn/Winter. Each sweater has no-script or scripted attachments to resize easily.
I read about a new Avatar Welcome Pack and got really excited. What’s this? New avatars? Is Second Life finally offering us something visually appealing? Anything would be better than Senra. Curious to know what’s included, I began digging around and stumbled upon the Virtual Bloke blog (Second Life New Avatar Welcome Packs – It’s time to check your inventory library, folks!). Unfortunately, the Avatar Welcome Pack was quickly removed from the Library; Second Life stated, “These items are in the final stages of QA, but we’re not quite ready to unveil all the details just yet.”
UPDATE: The Avatar Welcome Pack is back in the Library now.
I wanted to know what’s in the welcome pack, even though I don’t really need it. So, my friend Sasy suggested that I check the beta grid since the updates there tend to lag behind the main grid. Boom! I found it on the beta grid.
Avatar Welcome Pack – Male
First impressions? It’s okay. It’s definitely better than Senra, but it feels limited. This pack includes a very lite body and a very lite mesh head; however, they are wearable right out of the box. There are also some hair and clothing items included from various brands. I’m currently wearing everything as provided, without any customization. When this goes live on the main grid, I think residents will enjoy the opportunity to mix and match these heads and bodies with more items they already own to create something cuter.
I can’t wait to see how this impacts the new user experience in Second Life. It’s quite intriguing that Second Life is focusing exclusively on human avatars as part of this new user experience. Even though I am a human avatar all the time, I truly appreciated the grid’s diversity, which included animal avatars and various non-human avatars, among others.
UPDATE! The set back eyes are because I didn’t reset skeleton. I just figured that the avatar came like that, lol! So imagine these avatars without the set back eyes. 🙂
Thanksgiving in SL is like an early Christmas! Gifts galore from all the fabulous designers…. <3
Minnu Palen sent this gorgeous group gift of an unreleased skin (I think, since I don’t recognize it). It’s gorgeous, and it does remind me a lot of my fav Minnu (Gen4) skins but with a bit more detail and gorgeous eyebrows. O M G! Can’t wait for these!!
[ Left: Gift skin | Right: Gen4 ]
[ Close-up ] Sooooo purdyyy!!
I like the light blush on this skin a lot, since Moscow did seem to be a bit heavy on the blush/cheek bones shading. Glossy lips on these would be my perfect skin. Oh my god I miss the gloss… LOL
Join the MM Skins group in-world to get these. There’s a $250L enrollment fee but SO worth it!
The hair I’m wearing is Hal*Hina – Amy hair and it’s so adorable!! Only $90L per color, there was a small but cute collection there.
Stuff I’m Wearing:
Hal*Hina – Amy hair Armidi/Intimizzio – Kawaii Flower Mesh Lace Bra & Panties Set [P/a]PERTURB/ation – THEMISTO -piercing- Black (aka Chandelier earrings)
Dance, too much bootie in the pants. XD
