Miss Anon sent me a string of emails asking (demanding) that I remove her IP from my website, and has contacted my host to try and get them to remove it. I went ahead and called my hosting company to confirm with them that this is not a violation of TOS and it’s perfectly legal for me to do so. http://mediatemple.net/company/legal/aup_general.php
Here are some emails Miss Anon sent me:
I am removing your IP because I feel sorry for you, you’re obviously unstable judging from your emails. If you ever attempt to contact me again via email, IM, or by leaving anonymous harassing comments on this site, I will publish your main SL name and screenshots of all your comments. I have remained quiet for several months while you attempt to harass me on my site, and I hope it ends now.

There’s an anonymous comment troll that leaves a comment on my site every single day. Sometimes several times a day, and they never leave their name.

Here’s a clue, stop leaving comments under anonymous fake names. My site emails all comments to my gmail, along with IP info, so I have a a record of every single comment that has ever been made on all of my sites.
If you have a legitimate complaint, leave your full SL name along with a coherent comment and I will look into it, otherwise, peace out. I don’t want to ban you from commenting, but I’m kind of tired of seeing your IP address and nonsense hit my inbox every day.

Hey “yo” – I actually have figured out who you are, through the magic of email records. I am requesting that you stop leaving rude anonymous comments on my site. I don’t want to give your store any publicity by posting your name.
You can’t ‘remove’ an IP from a site, if you visit a site, it logs your IP regardless. If you don’t want people to know your IP, stop using the internet.

Hi Whispers, I don’t know what your beef is with me, but you seem to have it, evident from your past comments on my site. This is not your issue, this is an issue with “anon” and their behavior is quite annoying as they leave comments DAILY, sometimes up to 5-6 times in a row. It clogs up my inbox since I have to approve of each comment. That’s all.
If Gogo bans the IP it still goes into spam.
So even if you ban the IP they can still leave comments? Weird. I could swear that you could do it through a cPanel function and then they couldn’t even try to comment anymore on your blog.
If you dislike Gogo, and her blog, why do you insist on stalking it and leaving comments? You’re only making her more popular. Hates + Comments + Views = Fame.
I think it’s a great lesson for all those web trolls out there who sit at their desks and fire shots at people without signing their name.
You’re not anonymous as you think you are.

I don’t know if you ever intended that we’d be able to find out who she is in RL but I have to say that’d be rude. In Sweden we have a couple of really famous bloggers whom recieves about 3000+ comments on each post and they do get alot of shit like this. People trying to reveal their yet secret boyfriends, calling them sluts for wearing a bikini at the beach, asking if “didn’t you get your boobs fixed before this shot, whore?”, telling them they have pig noses etc etc. They would never do anything like this so I don’t see why you should? People do after all try to destroy their RL lives which I assume isn’t the case here?
I don’t know how big your blog is, seriously *blushes*, but I guess it must be big enough for you to start ignore the evil comments and appreciate the kind or those with proper critic. (Which I think every blogger should no matter how big the blog is)
I’m not saying it’s easy but neither can you continue to post things like these every time a new stalker appears.

One thing is a silly as the other. First stalking a blogger with rude comments, then begging for an IP removal. Really now, how many of Gogo’s blog readers would rush to find out whose IP it is? Does that person think that she is soo important? 😀 And if they did, they would find an internet provider in some part of the world. How RL threatening is that?
Anyway, fear turns to be a better tool than shame or common sense, when it comes to such people 😀

WOW, Funny how when ppl think they are not going to get found out they can sit and play games ALL day long with post and alts. But when the tables are turned and your little download antics are found out you can’t handle the heat. BRAVO GOGO!! Some ppl need to get a reality slap once in a while.
