For Easter, I am dressing up as Alice trying to chase the elusive White Rabbit through a very tiny door. I *love* this Black Rabbit, White Rabbit outfit set from deviousMind! I am wearing the gorgeous Red Tuxedo Jacket, which matches perfectly with my new Friday ‘Dream Booties’ in Tomato.

Is it just me or is the grid extra crashy today? I spent this weekend upgrading my graphics card from the Nvidia GTX 260 to GTX 570. I had shadows before, and pretty stellar graphics but I guess, I wanted flawless shadows, and even better graphics? Can’t say I notice a huge difference, so I guess I’m just a sucky photographer, LOL!
I guess I’ll keep working on my in-world photography, but for now… *pulls hair out* my patience is extremely tested when I try to do photos anywhere other than on a platform in the sky.
For example, today I went to “the laggiest sim in SL” — aka LULA (Sorry Lula, you are beautiful, but people on Plurk all say you’re laggy) and within minutes of being there, someone begged for money, and also I crashed a thousand times.
So, I went to the Malt sim, to snap the pictures above.
G-Field released so many new pieces this weekend as well, I’ve been dying to try them on! I bought this Baby Pink Maxi skirt and matching PuffSleeve top — so sexy. I don’t normally wear long skirts, but this one is amazing on, and it also matches my new Sissy Crown from Donna Flora.

Now that Halloween is over, it feels like everyone is ready to skip right past Thanksgiving and jump straight into Christmas. I’m already seeing so many festive decorations and accessories popping up this weekend, and I’m not complaining. I love it. The colors are perfect. I love the classic red and green just as much as the soft pastels and icy winter blues.
Sparkle Skye is releasing the Noel Hair Wreath at the MadPea Gacha Arcana event. Even though I have mixed feelings about gachas, I do think they have their place in Second Life for people enjoy inexpensive items. Gachas are great if you don’t care what you get, and because they’re transferrable, you can gift some extras to friends. ‘Tis the season of giving, after all!

I’m now part of the advisory board for the Linden Endowment for the Arts! The Linden Endowment for the Arts is a user-run program that uses land donations from Linden Labs to foster nonprofit art exhibits and activities. You can read more about LEA here and learn how to apply for the next round of land grants.
My first interaction with LEA was through one of their projects, Art Farm Co-op. I spent the summer of that program’s duration learning and growing with other SL artists, and engaging in a thoughtful and friendly community. After Art Farm’s program ended, I hung around the LEA public sandbox, constantly checking out what other people were creating.
So now I’m on the advisory board! I’m excited to be here and I hope my insight will make LEA even better.

I’m absolutely loving ReShade! I recently started exploring it, and I’ve noticed a lot of SL residents using it to enhance their snapshots. However, there are some downsides. It can be a bit tricky to use, and you’re limited to taking screenshots at your display size rather than high-resolution images.
The graphics settings in Second Life have improved significantly over time. With certain third-party viewers, you can access features like depth of field, tonemapping, and color grading, which means that while ReShade is still entertaining to play with, it’s not as essential as it once was. That said, it can create stunningly ethereal effects, making your photos truly pop! See all of my ReShdae snapshots on Flickr.
ReShade is a generic post-processing injector for games and video software developed by crosire. Imagine your favorite game with ambient occlusion, real depth of field effects, color correction and more … ReShade exposes an automated and generic way to access both frame color and depth information (latter is automatically disabled during multiplayer to prevent exploitation) and all the tools to make it happen. If you’re curious about experimenting with ReShade in Second Life, there are plenty of tutorials out there to help you get started. I began my journey with it back in May but got sidetracked by PBR. Now, let’s discuss my look for today. I’m a huge fan of Wings hair, but I’ve noticed lately that the bangs sit very closely against my face and lashes, leading to some stubborn alpha glitches. I really think the designer should consider tweaking the front strands to sit a bit further from the face, or at least provide some customization options.
I usually tackle alpha glitches in my photos, which is why I always recommend demoing hair before you buy. I’ve adjusted my shape and face somewhat, but I’m not keen on widening my face just to make this hairstyle work. Finding the perfect fit is crucial!
