Fashion Expo is so much fun! When I went, there were a ton of people there but the lag wasn't bad at all. I loved that a lot of vendors are doing RFL items, and priced them reasonably. I always make it a policy to try and buy RFL items when I go to fairs or expos, simply cos I really don't *need* most of the stuff I see, but I will donate some money to charity if I'm getting something in return, that happens to be cute 😀 Sometimes I break that rule though, but I'll have to show you those items later in the week.
Zaara created this gorgeous Frawla+ishaya outfit, a RFL special item that includes gorgeous Ishaya gold pants with sculpted cuffs and a very sexy Pink Frawla top. The Pink Frawla top has great textures, criss-cross ties in the back, and sexy plunging neckline!

Linden Endowment For The Arts
It’s October the 1st, and that means Havenhollow is open! This year, the event is being sponsored by the Linden Endowment for the Arts, a program that allows residents to apply for land grants and put on exhibits for other users to enjoy. If you want to apply for a sim, visit this website to learn more.
So far, some friends and I have run around Havenhollow and explored most of the places… but there’s a problem. We can’t find the ending! We’ve searched all over for hints and clues, but after looking through the haunted areas and trick-or-treated at all of the houses, we’re a bit stumped.
Have you visited Havenhollow yet? Do you know where the “ending” area is? Perhaps there isn’t one this year? Or maybe it’s a timed event and will be set up later? Leave a comment about what you think!
Speaking of the LEA arts program, if you want a smaller space to exhibit your work, there’s currently land available at the Art Farm Co-op sim in their Pop-up Gallery section. Read the rules here before you set up, so your stuff won’t get returned! All galleries are cleared after two weeks, but it allows for artists to show off their work and possibly be motivated to create more. Currently there are lots of spots available, so go grab one!
There’s also a cafe/city section (photo above) where users can make machinima, put on plays, and take photos to their hearts content. You can rez props in the cafe or the city itself to create as you need to. The cafe is also a great place to meet other artists and collaborate.
I’m very happy to see Havenhollow making use of the LEA program, and I hope they continue to earn land grants from them in the future. There’s a lot of joy and care in their work and to me, that’s what we need more of in the grid.

Studded Kitty
Action hair has been around for years, but I didn’t own any hairstyles from there. Yesterday, I saw a picture of the latest hair release, and thought it looked pretty good! I also checked out the Marketplace store, and noticed that Action hair has a few new mesh hairstyles. I bought the Jennifer hairstyle in the Veganic pack, even though I don’t need all of the colors, it was just $377L for the pack of 24 colors. I also picked up this cute Studded Kitty Headband, it fits perfectly with this hair.
I’m so happy when designers create add-on products other brands. The new Belgravia Patent 120 Pumps is an add-on shoe for SLink’s mesh feet. The spikes and textures are gorgeous on these, and this particular Fuchsia/Gold color matches my headband perfectly.

Hello from Aurelias! I just want to thank all of the visitors for your sweet comments about the region and for submitting your photos to the Aurelias Flickr group. There’s a rush in Second Life to immediately go from Christmas/Winter to Spring. We’re taking our time on Aurelias and thawing out slowly! We already planning for Spring, but I just love the snow so much that it’s going to linger through March.

I used to wear reds and gingers all the time, but now I wear pale blue when I can find it. 😀
i’m a blonde in real life so it’s hard for me to be any other color, although i do get the odd freebie in a brown or red that i’ll wear with certain skins that look better with those colors (eyebrows, skin tones etc)

Yea me too, I love black…I do dark brown now haha. I have black hair in RL but it will always be my number one choice. I’ve been almost every color so it was tough to choose. So I just picked what I am now. :).
It’s surprising that brunettes are beating out blondes. I thought everybody (except me) wanted to be blonde.

I know that the tattoo layer can only be worn on Viewer 2, but can others who aren’t using viewer 2 see them?
Yes they can. The texture is baked with them, so they’ll see your tattoos just fine.
I like blondes and brunette hair colors pretty equally, but it seems like oftentimes the brunette colors are just richer in tone for most SL hair.
But also, if your using Phoenix or Imprudence (so far as I know, the two major non-official viewers) they have tattoo layers possible.
Though currently only one layer worn at a time.
i used to be a blond all the time but now i wear black hair..somehow the blond hair feels like a wig now!
I voted brunette, but honestly I have so many avatars and each of them has a ‘signature color’.
I can’t figure out a way to incorporate those pinks & blues I love to wear in, but I’d love to.

I rarely see brunettes in SL – guess I’m hanging out at the wrong places, eh…
My avatar isn’t exactly me but still similiar and I just can’t identify myself/my avatar with any other hair color than brownish colours as it’s my RL hair colour.. Even if I sometimes go blonde – but never for a longer period of time.
Guess it satisify the stereotype of a Swede if I wear blonde, so I won’t get all the silly questions from stranger avatars 😛

I’ve worn blue since a month into starting Second life. Now it’s a darker blue but still blue ^_^
When I first started SL, and for a couple years after that, it was red all the way. …Now I can barely imagine anything except black hair.
