These new SLink Tabitha Plateau Pumps are just gorgeous!! They were released before Halloween so Siddean included a really great metal web detail that can be toggled on/off via the HUD. I really love a great pair of pumps, and I definitely needed more with Alpha layer since I plan on deleting all of my (old) shoes without alpha versions included.

The love the Tabitha fatpack because it includes a HUD to change heels & sole texture to any of the 11 colors available. I didn’t make any crazy color combinations, but you can! These shoes will be perfect for the holidays cos you can matching anything and everything!
Couverture has just released the Knit Long One-Piece (mesh) Dress, and it is simply beautiful. The dress comes in 3 sizes (S, M, L) and includes alpha layer and underpants layer. I’m wearing the Largest size, and it fits me perfectly! I could have worn the Medium too, with a couple of tweaks to my chest area.
I’m definitely looking forward to more mesh goodies from couverture!

Zaara released new Sheer Coverups and matching mesh bikinis. I like this coverup better as a top, so I made an outfit based around it. This top is 90% sheer, so although an alpha is provided, it only takes away a bit of the shoulder, therefore, you really cannot wear an alpha with this top, so be sure to try a demo. I thought the mesh top had bulky shoulders, and it also floated about half an inch above my shoulders, so I wore long hair to cover it up.
Siddean Munro, the Queen of Feet & SLink, released new Tri-Colour Wedge add-on shoes. These include a HUD to change the wedge color and 3 straps (heel, mid, toe) individually.

The Gen-Neutral event is opening tomorrow! I was excited to participate in this fair because it has to do with a subject that’s close to my heart. Everyone did a great job on their items, and there are a lot of great fashion choices available.
So–what do I have to relate to about this event? I’m genderfluid. Most of the time I present as a woman. But every now and again, I switch to male. I usually allow this to manifest by mask art and going under a male alt in SL, because I am very curvy in real life, but I am too happy with my body to want to transition and become a man. I also dress very casually or wear men’s clothes sometimes, but I do it in my own way–which reflects my fashion choices in SL, too.
I used to think that being a woman meant I had to wear girly things. But being a woman should be what you define it to be, for yourself. The clothing at the Gen-Neutral event, such as the awesome top and pants I’m wearing in this picture, are worn by tomboyish models at their stalls to show they are meant for everyone. But when I wear them, I make them my own.
You don’t have to cut your hair short to defy gender norms (or grow it long, if you’re a man). You don’t have to look like Ruby Rose or go to extremes in presentation. You can be you and dress how you want to dress. Define who YOU are, don’t let your gender do that for you. That’s what the Gen-Neutral event is about–giving you a choice.
So you want a custom Bluesky name? If you have your own domain, setting it up is straightforward. I’m @gogo.juicybomb.com on Bluesky. I intended to write a tutorial, but fortunately, Bluesky already offers an excellent guide: How to verify your Bluesky account.
If you want to be known as @yourdomain.com, simply set up the TXT record at your hosting company or your domain registrar. If you have a domain name without a hosting plan, you should set up the TXT record with your domain name registrar. On the other hand, if you have a hosting plan associated with your domain name, you will configure the TXT record at your hosting company. If you want to be recognized as @anyword.yourdomain.com, create a subdomain and then add the TXT record on that subdomain. You can set up as many TXT records as you want to, even for different domains. They will all resolve to your account.
If you decide to obtain a custom name on Bluesky, be aware that as soon as you acquire your new name, you will have released your old name for anyone else to claim. For instance, I was initially @juicybomb.bsky.social. Once I changed to @gogo.juicybomb.com, I recreated juicybomb to ensure that no one else could use it. This gives me the flexibility to revert to it in the future, should I choose to discontinue using my domain. To revert, simply delete the username you are holding and rename your current account.
I have observed many Second Life residents using @name.secondlife.bio on Bluesky. However, I must caution you against this choice. This domain is not officially owned by Second Life or Linden Lab; rather, it is owned by a resident. While it is commendable that they are offering this service, if their domain is not renewed, you will lose your username. It will cease to resolve, prompting Bluesky to ask you to create a new one (although you will not lose your posts or account—only your username will change). Beyond the risk of losing your username, I also have concerns regarding impersonation. Since these accounts are not verified, anyone could request @yourname.secondlife.bio.
I am genuinely curious when Second Life will address the use of the domain name by SecondLife.bio, as it clearly violates their Domain Name Guidelines.
Even though many brands in Second Life create amazing products, the way they treat customers can leave a sour taste in your mouth. When that happens, it makes you think twice about spending money with them again.
I’ve encountered more than a few brands I’ve supported that ignore simple customer service issues, like refunding a double purchase or answering a basic question. I’m sure most of us have experienced being completely ignored by a store owner or customer service rep. Some people know how to create great things in Second Life, but they never learn how to build loyalty.
On the other hand, the brands that go out of their way to be kind and helpful earn my support for years.
One example is Everfaery. Every time I’ve had a question or needed help, they’ve responded in a way that was even nicer than expected. Honestly, the fact that they respond at all already puts them ahead of many brands. Recently, I asked a question on Flickr and got a quick reply. That reminded me they also give L$50 monthly store credit to group members. On top of that, creator Fever Fae is incredibly talented, making clothing, hair, shoes, décor, and more. She has range, and she’s had staying power in SL for years.
Another brand that consistently treats customers well is Izzie’s. I’ve said it before, but it’s true. A few days ago, I saw their Nail Beds set and thought, “I didn’t even know I needed that.” Now I can’t imagine not having it. It adds another layer of realism, and I appreciate creators who think of those details. Plus, Izzie Button has always come across as genuinely kind.
Then there’s Truth. Creator Truth Hawks regularly gives gifts to the VIP group and runs solid sales throughout the year. I’ve also been a Truth hair blogger for years, and their relationship with bloggers has always seemed professional and respectful. That kind of relationship-building is one reason some brands last so long in Second Life.
My list of brands doing it right is actually pretty long. There are many wonderful creators in SL. But when a brand ghosts me after I’ve supported them, I remember it. I’m too classy to name names, but you know the type. We’ve all encountered them.
There’s one brand where I used to buy every fatpack. Now? Maybe I’ll grab a single item during a weekend sale and spend the equivalent of a real-life quarter. Why reward bad customer service with full-price loyalty?
At the end of the day, customer service matters. Talent may get people through the door, but kindness and reliability keep them coming back.
