There’s so much new stuff released this weekend — where to even begin?
I’ll start with some new hair releases from Shag! The three hairstyle above are new, and they are released as part of Project Themeory or Stumblebum. I particularly love the Angel Baby style cos it’s adorable and includes a halo!

The much anticipated new Laqroki Mini skin is so pretty! These brows are more natural than skins in the past, which makes them hard to tame but they’re not impossible to work with. I think I’ve managed to tame them somewhat with my brow base. I’ve tried wearing this skin with Blonde hair, but it really wouldn’t do the skin justice. A warm shade of Brown is perfect for these brows, so I’m blogging it with Brown hair.
Since the face is more matted than previous Laqroki Glow skins, the brows tattoos will not work with these skins. The body looks to be the same as before, so you can still use your cleavage tattoo layers.
I just love how youthful and pretty this skin is! If it came with lighter brows and an updated (more matted) body, it was be perfect.
*note: I am wearing the Laq skins with some blush and some black eyeliner tattoo.

The weekend’s here, and I’m not feeling anything other than getting ready to hit the beach irl tomorrow. While I’m on the shore contemplating new ways to paint, here’s some questions I’ve got for you. January is all about cozy vibes and bodysuits. I tried on numerous bodysuits before settling on this adorable Ramona bodysuit and matching cardi from Littlefox. Everyone seems to be embracing bodysuits this month, but the reason I chose this one over the others is because I like the cleavage, textures, and colors it offers.
I love Rosé’s twin buns hairstyle from the APT music video. So when I saw that S-Club released the Pinky hairstyle, clearly inspired by Rosé, I immediately bought it. Although S-Club’s prices are on the higher side, at L$999 for fatpacks, I know I will wear this hairstyle frequently. If you do not opt for a fatpack at S-Club, unfortunately, you won’t get access to all of the hairstyle options or accessories.
This week I realized that I have matured because I no longer feel rage about anything in Second Life. X (Twitter forever) is all about AI. Meanwhile, on Bluesky, Second Life residents are making lists and expressing their concerns about AI usage. There are many issues to be upset about in life, but AI is not one of them for me. You may choose to be upset if you wish, but many brands in Second Life are employing AI to edit their photos and videos. They are also utilizing AI to generate textures and sell “art” at events. While I do not necessarily endorse these practices, I recognize that I cannot control other SL residents, nor can anyone halt progress. AI is innovative and here to stay. It can be integrated into our workflow without eliciting accusations of thievery. If you choose to boycott certain brands, I suggest doing so quietly. I myself boycott several brands for various reasons, but I do not feel the need to publicize my decisions.
Although I consider AI a fun tool to experiment with, and I have used it in the past to edit a photo or two, most of my images come directly from Second Life. It is quite evident that many skin designers are now using AI to enhance their skin advertisements. Proceed with caution, and be sure to demo everything before making a purchase.

SLink has just released new Glamour Platform shoes!!!!! These shoes have a sculpted foot attached and a HUD to change the toe nail color, show or hide toe rings, and change metals.
Color matching was a breeze once I figured out how the HUD works. Each of those skin tone was matched in less than a minute!
Tip: Read the notecard that comes with the shoes! I know I tend not to read notecards but it was very helpful in this case, and will prevent purple feet.. just saying!
I would say I did a pretty good job, and there are no prosthetic limbs here! Realistic feet, baby!

Cajsa asked me to contribute my Emotes & Slow Motion Animation tutorial for the Blogger Carnival at SL9B exhibit, so I’ve decided to update the images, but the instructions are all the same. In the original tutorial from 2008, I used another HUD to create the emotes but this year, I have a new favorite! I have mentioned the AnyPose Expression HUD before, and it works beautifully to create facial expressions and also, can control eyes position and hands!
How to create facial expressions using Emotes & Slow Motion Animation:
To make the facial expression above, I used a combination of “Open Mouth” and “Tongue” with Slow Motion Animations enabled. There’s two ways to do this — snap a dozen images and pick the one that you like best, or focus on just the eyes and snap an image, then focus on the mouth area — and combine two that you like best in Photoshop (or any graphics program of your choice). For this image, I have decided not to use PS, and waited patiently to get a combination that I liked. I’m also wearing tattoo lashes, so I don’t have to go without lashes or bother with adjusting prim lashes.

Secret Agent Gogo here bringing you this sexy new 'Get On!' outfit from Sweetest Goodbye. The texture on this outfit is so good! Look at how textures are shiny but realistic looking in all the right places ;P The 'Get On!' outfit also includes a matching hat, armband, and belt. To complete the look, I have paired it with the SG 'Get On!' knee-length boots. I think this would make a great sexy military costume or clubbing outfit.
