I’m am playing around with my Windlight setting today, I hope you guys can see the items clearly even though it is darker than the WL setting I normally use.
Without alpha | With Alpha | & Re-positioned to fit
A friend of mine asked me how to use the Mon Tissu alpha layer, so I thought I would do a lil picture to show you guys too. Alpha is used to hide all or some parts of the avatar (body) – it is so useful when wearing fully sculpted tops and skirts. As you can see in the picture above, when I wore the pants layer & the sculpted skirt attachment, my avatar’s his are showing through the sculpted skirt. I could stretch the skirt to fit, but this dress came with an alpha layer so I wore it (middle picture) but as you can see, parts of the torso and waist appears missing now. My friend wanted to know how she could fix this issue, and I showed her what I normally do in this situation, instead of stretching the skirt to be bigger, I just re-positioned the skirt a bit higher and it solved the issue and is also a perfect fit. This is how I do it, but you just do whatever is easiest for you. Some people like to stretch, but I hate stretching clothing that has multiple attachments.
Mon Tissu clothing is known to be on the smaller side, so many things have alpha layers included – be sure to use those layers, they’re a tremendous help when you want to fit items easily.
What I’m Wearing:
Exile – Darla (Dusk)
Laqroki – Linnea (Fair) Dark Brows – 01
Mon Tissu – Longline Blouse (White)
Mon Tissu – Montsegur Pumps (White)
Elate! – Bow Tie Ring (Ivory)
TokiD – Side headband (7)
As much as I love the blonde hair, especially as a blonde myself, the dark looks really good 🙂
thanks for letting me know about alpha layer for skirts, i never though to do that but its perfect for all those dresses i never wear because of skirt issues 🙂
I would go back to the other settings for the product shot pictures.
Love the way you displayed these
