Book Readers in Second Life
Do you read books in Second Life? There are some authors who sell their books in the grid for the love of sharing their craft with others. I’m one of them! For The Crystal Heart Festival, I launched a new comic series dealing with magical beings, sexuality, gender, and a deadly realm. It’s called The Other World and you can actually buy a copy and read it in Second Life.
Here’s a picture of what the HUD readers look like.
You add the readers to yourself and it shows up as either the tablet or book model, depending on what you’ve chosen. The author of the book can divide up chapters for easy navigation. If you stop on a page and take the HUD off, the tablet will remember where you paused.

So why buy The Other World? Simply put, it’s kickass and it shows a lot of different superheroes than just your typical Perpetually Single White Cis Hetero Male archetype. I still love PicMonkey
I think the PicMonkey people have been reading my blog, cos they’ve added a couple of new features that are amazing!! Now you can upload directly to Flickr, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr, from the PicMonkey dashboard. The new Light effects are so cool! I love bokeh! I will try this tutorial on some of my pics this week, and see how it turns out. I may renew my PicMonkey subscription next year, if they keep releasing new filters such as these! <3
I really wish they would make it possible to go back to the filters menu, once you’re done creating a collage pic. *hint hint*

Back when mesh eyes were new to the grid, I blogged the Mayfly (Deep Sky Eyes) mesh eyes, and they still remain one of my favorite mesh eyes. The textures from Mayfly are so realistic and the eyes comes with four different Whites choices, is scripted to re-size and also includes the texture eyes, if some days you want to wear those instead of mesh!
These new Liquid Light series eyes from Mayfly have a slightly larger pupil and softer reflections than the previous Deep Sky Eyes series. I just love the new reflections, they look even more realistic than before.

I also wanted to quickly mention that this new hair I’m wearing is Clawtooth’s first mesh hair! While the Blonde texture is not that great, I think the style is so adorable. I definitely will keep my eye on Clawtooth hair, especially cos this mesh hair fits so well.

wow, you haven’t worn Lelutka skin for almost 2 weeks and now you are going brunette …… la revolucion. I always thought you looked better brunette but it is nice to see someone wearing blonde hair as I swear everyone on the grid is either dark brown or black in hair, probably not helped by some of the really good hair only coming in black (ie: detour).
