Yay, it’s Bubblegum Weekends! I’ve been redoing my sim this week and having so much fun putting it all back together (after I blew it up)! I redo my personal sim space quite often, and I find it so relaxing.
I thought this new Kym outfit from Severed Garden was just the perfect outfit to landscape in, cos it’s so cute and comes with sexy sculpted top, panties, belt, a matching hair flower, flower basket, armband, and anklebands.
It’s day 5 of Blackout August. I made it through the weekend without buying anything, which feels monumental. I usually do most of my Second Life shopping on weekends, so I’m starting to feel more confident that I can go the entire month without shopping.
If you’re quietly doing this challenge with me, maybe today you can try something new. Have you tried the Aperture Viewer? It’s the only viewer I’m using for Second Life right now. Today I made a bunch of photo presets in the Aperture Phototools Suite. It’s different from EEP settings because you can enhance colors, add depth of field, adjust glow, and so much more. If I figure out how to share presets, I will.
I shopped from my inventory today. I can’t even remember when I bought this sandwich, but the time stamp says June 22. The shocking part is realizing I have thousands of items I’ve never blogged or worn. Let’s see how many we can uncover this month.
Fishy Strawberry nailed it with this Denim & Lace dress! It’s short and tight, but still somehow very sweet and not slutty. I LOVE THIS DRESS! I am also wearing the SLink Physique mesh body, and I am trying to make it work with my existing wardrobe by being creative with the alpha HUD & adjusting my body size.
I’m used to this body now, that when I take it off, it no longer feels right. Even though wearing clothes can be challenging (right now), I don’t think it’s any different than people conforming their body size to fit Standard Sizing, so I think designers & consumers will eventually find a way to make mesh bodies work.

Exile has just released 3 sexy new hairstyles!! I’m loving these long locks and I think they really show off the new textures!! I’m wearing Odette, Cassie, and Lucia in Chestnut Brown. There are so many new Brown shades to choose from, but I settled on this Chestnut because it works perfectly well with LeLutka’s dark brows.
I wasn’t expecting this announcement when I woke up this morning. Patch Linden, Senior VP of Product Operations and a familiar name in Second Life for nearly 20 years, is no longer with the company. Reading the brief blog post, it’s hard not to feel like this was a sudden and forced departure. No farewell, no send off, just an abrupt end. Even his name is already gone in world.
I wouldn’t say I was a fan of Patch or not a fan, but I do recognize his impact. He gave us Bellisseria, which is probably the only thing that has kept me engaged over the past seven years. More than that, he actually seemed enthusiastic about Second Life. He showed up, dressed for the occasion, and felt like someone who genuinely understood how to use the platform. Not every Linden or executive can say that.
Whether you liked him or didn’t, Patch was a big presence. It feels appropriate to take a moment to say goodbye and acknowledge his contributions to Second Life.
Looking ahead, I just hope whoever steps into this role listens to residents. Second Life is not exactly bringing in waves of new users, so keeping the current community engaged should be the priority. I want to keep enjoying my Lifetime Premium Plus membership, but I can’t help wondering how much the platform is changing and whether it will still feel like home.
SL23B is going to feel different this year without one of its most recognizable voices.
Donna Flora has just released the Rosetta Dress in four fantastic Spring-y colors! The sculpted ruffles on this skirt is amazing, and unlike other sculpted skirts, this one is easy to wear! You can run, walk, move in this and your hip/leg won’t go through the prim skirt because of the slightly puffy shape.
I am also wearing Donna Flora’s Auturo jewelry set and matching ring with a HUD to change the gem colors! There are 6 choices available, so you’re getting a great deal with this.
Is it an alpha layer inluded for the boobs? I bough only one Severed Garden outfit before, and I hate the resizer script/no modify permissions. I ended up changing my shape instead. It does not matter how cute it is, I loathe no modify items.
I have the color Ice / Strawberry and is adorable, the resize script is very detailed and works of 3 directions Y, X, Z or global, so it’s perfect for my shape. I love every creation of this brand!
