I haven’t done a proper Bubblegum Weekends post in a while, so here we go! This hair style from Lamb is called Girlfriend in a Coma, and is available at Collabor88. I’m wearing the appropriately named, Chewed Bubble Gum color, which is perfect for Bubblegum Weekends!
You’ll also ind this Sedgwick Dress from Ingenue at Collabor88 in a few different bright colors. It comes with matching flats, but I went for a more sophisticated look, and paired it with some Pearl colored pumps from Elikatira.
I feel like my blog posts have been a lil’ bright lately…. but I’m in a bright bright mood. Enjoy your weekend, SL!

Welcome to the Adult Hub, a region meant for residents over 18. It seems that Second Life has built a tasteful adult playground with beaches, clubs, pools, dancing areas, camping areas, waterfalls, all for new residents. New residents are guided to enter the Adult Hub through a portal at the Welcome Hub. Established residents can come too, and they can teleport directly to the Adult Hub. To enter, you must change your maturity rating to Adult and agree to the region rules. However, there’s no real age verification in Second Life, so technically it’s still possible that underage players could access the Adult Hub.
When I heard about Second Life launching a sex region, I was prepared to be grossed out. Ew, why? Why does Second Life want to attract people who come here wanting sex on day 1? Why make that the opening experience for new residents? But I visited the Adult Hub with an open mind and left with a deeper understanding of why Second Life made this.
Back in December 2023, Second Life teased that “Something Spicy” was coming. It was this Adult Hub, but for reasons that didn’t launch then, it launched now in March 2026. Is Second Life now ready for adults to come, along with their shiny new (sorta working) mobile app?
This is an adult game, and some adult areas in Second Life aren’t moderated. Anything goes. It can be scary and overwhelming. This feels more like a controlled environment for adults entering that side of Second Life, especially those who may appreciate moderation and tasteful decor.
Not everything on this region is about sex. There are lots of seating areas set up for conversations. Sex is one activity, but it’s well hidden inside the furniture. You don’t see pose balls anywhere, and the hints of sex are subtle.
My time wandering around this region as a 1 day old avatar, I only met established residents. Not a single new resident in sight. Not yet. A Second Life Mentor greeted me, and everyone I encountered was nice. They flocked to my noob avatar, introduced themselves, and tried to include me in conversation. That was nice. I think current residents are really trying to make new people feel welcome and stay. Maybe for the platform’s survival.
Even though I was prepared to run away from here and never look back, I think I’d go back as my main avatar. It’s an Adult Hub, but it’s not just a sex space. It feels more like a general adult social area where different things can happen. Of course my experience could be rare. This region could eventually turn into a full sex dungeon, dicks everywhere, nude avatars everywhere. But at least today, everyone I saw was wearing clothes. There are rules though, so be sure to read them while you’re here.
My overall thought is that this is nice. There should be more well designed areas like this for all types of experiences. I guess Second Life felt Adult was the draw, and I hope their gamble pays off.
I don’t have a premium account because I do not own any mainland parcels. That 100US/year or less membership fee is nothing compared to the outrageous island fee that I pay each month. So quit your bitching, kthx.
Instead of thinking of ways to restrict people from the grid, or who deserves to be on more, I think LL should definitely find ways to ensure that everybody that wants to login can login. As an island/biz owner I want more residents online happily shopping away, NOT LESS. KTHX.
I snuck in early to snap some pictures so you’ll know what to expect tomorrow, when Skin Fair opens! My first impression is that this skin fair is extremely well organized, the layout is GREAT. Shops are arranged in a square, you can easily walk from one level to another and not miss any shops along the way.
There’s even a teleport board upon landing so you can visit just the shops you want if you’re in a hurry. I can’t wait for the official opening.. this will be a good one! 🙂
I’ve taken a very brief shopping intermission to make…………. a Juicy male pose!! Here’s Cool Dude 1, the first male pose in hopefully a series of poses 😛
Are you a Cool Dude? Tp to Juicy to pick up this pose!
This beige Tartan trench coat from Aoharu is perfect for Autumn weather!! I like the length a lot because it’s sexy and short but also not too revealing so I can choose to wear this coat without long pants. I actually hate wearing pants, so give me a short cutesy flexi skirt any day.
Aoharu’s Leopard Pink Fur coat matches the Knit Boots in Baby Pink perfectly!! I love this Docomo hair from the hunt, it’s kind of short and messy. For some reason my av looks like she just woke up from a nap and is wandering around in a snow sim! :p
Both of the hairs worn in this entry are from the Docomo hair hunt. If you haven’t gone, it’s totally worth the effort! Each hair is scripted to change to 7 different colors! And it will take some effort to find the mushrooms, but luckily my friend Jenna walked me through it. Read more about the Docomo hair hunt at from Free*Style’s blog entry here.
Bright, and retro ! 😛
Great style!
