SLink Tall Leather Thigh Boots

Sonya

I found this darling outfit from Marketplace, and it has a sculpted Leather Bra, which matches perfectly with the new SLink Tall Leather Thigh Boots I’m wearing. With a lil’ bit of adjustments, I was able to get this outfit to fit reasonably well and also, not wear the leather shirt texture layer. This Sonya dress from Crissy Designs is $100L (so cheap!) and is the cutest ‘whore’ outfit I could find that is still cute, not tacky.

Now onto SLink’s newest Tall Leather Thigh Boots! They’re mesh so they bend and work with all poses!

What I found interesting about these particular mesh boots (my very first pair of mesh shoes), is that they come with one single attachment. There’s no Left and Right shoe, the whole thing is just… together. This is how it looks inside my inventory, with the boots worn:

The SLink boots comes with 4 sizes to choose from. To my surprise, my avatar is Curvy! I think Gogo is pretty small, so erm, if your legs have muscle bigger than 50 and your fat sliders are bigger than mine, you’ll prob have to move onto the Plus size, or ask for a custom fitting.

The SLink Tall Leather Thigh Boots comes in 10 colors! I noticed that these boots do not have any ‘options’ like some previous SLink shoes. I wonder if that’s a mesh limitation? There’s no HUD, so there’s no option to change sole color, heel color, or anything like that.

If you’re not on a viewer capable of viewing mesh, I guess you’ll be seeing a whole lot of boxes in SL! These boots are a-m-a-zing. I don’t know if I will purchase “regular” sculpt boots ever again.

The Crissy Design store link that you put up is not the link to the store..lol I landed in a group of people that were having some sort of meeting. Couldn’t find the store.

I am so sorry! I fixed that now! 🙂

Yowza those boots are hott! They look so incredible. And I love my thigh high boots! I was worried about the sizes myself. Thick girl with thick girl thighs. Don’t want to look big up, small down lol. Would be sad not to be able to get the shoes, but in the long run…girls gotta keep her figure! Haha.

these boots is amazing and the dress is very cute.

I’m going to have to spring for a customization at some point, I think. I’ve a little too much something (I forget which exactly) for the average and curvy sizes, and plus is just way too big.

I noticed that SLink is using a slightly different size leg for the jeans they gave out last week and the new boots. I hope that shops that go mesh develop a set ‘size’ (or range of) that they work from in developing new products. I’d rather have a shape per shop (or so) that I can reliably fit their clothes to than to have to build a new shape per outfit. I’m not thrilled I have to do it at all, mind – I finally got my shape exactly the way I want it after five years of tinkering – but I understand that that’s the limitations of mesh and out of the designer’s hands. (I’m quite impressed that the folks at SLink are willing to do that level of customization at all, to be quite honest.)

Personally I don’t care if other people are seeing me as a bunch of blobs. 😀 Mesh is the next wave, and the ability to have skirts that move with you, boots that let you walk, not just roam around on peg legs, is worth it. No more adjusting skirt prims only to have them break the seam if you move at all? YES PLEASE.

@Skye – there is a plus size option that you might like, it’s in the demo so you can try for free 😀

@ Dee, I realised just after I released these that the average leg setting is actually off by some 10 points, I’ll amend it and update the boots shortly. I’m also going to release the shapes I base my meshes on as freebies 🙂

I tried some mesh boots, but wasn’t that impressed with the movement: http://www.flickr.com/photos/39884817@N03/6108615129/
I will be trying a demo for these boots and see if they are better behaved;)

You look amazing in that outfit btw!

For at the moment mesh doesnt work for me at all. Breasts are to big or to small, my hips are to curvey or not curvey enough and my legs they are or to fat or ahh you guys get it.
Change my shape? sorry not even thinking about it. I like the way I am I prefer to walk naked then to change anything. Mesh clothing still need lots of work but its still early.

These boots are gorgeous but for now they dont work for me :'(

    hi

Trying the demo to see, it appears knee angle is an adjustment that you need to make to center them properly as there not centered to a knee angle of 50, 46 works for me.
My legs are thin from a visual perspective and curvy fits. Also the Alpha is way to high, i can see through it from the back, maybe its an issue with the avi mesh as lots of shoes designed put in alphas that are not right.

The boots look great though. Its a serious issue not being able to resize, and so far what i have tried with mesh while look great is just not fitting my shape, and my shape is small.

Well at least i can know wear over the knee boots in SL, no more stubby knee 🙂

I tried the demo and the plus fit me. However the free jeans she had out, the curvy was a tad too small and the plus was HUGE on me. These aren’t exactly my style of shoe (Idk what I’d really wear it with since I hardly wear boots) but it’s really promising and I can’t wait for more mesh shoes and even feet. Gah I want mesh feet soo bad, but I’m not sure how it’s going to work with the rigging, if at all :/. If you like this type of shoe, I guess you grab a demo even if you think your too “fat” shape wise for them. Might be surprised.

the heels are cool they kinda remind me of those freebie boots you can get everywhere though, with the colors and textures. would love to see a suede or less shiny leather look (are they supposed to be latex looking?)

Firestorm beta (Third party Viewer) with meshsupport has been released (I didnt try it yet) just noting for those who might be interested.

Very nice indeed and I love those boots. “Slink leather” must be a very soft and thin leather is it ?
