Cajsa Lilliehook  started a new site called Blogging Second Life, that lists Second Life blogs (separated by category) and also creator’s profile & store marketplace link.

I think it’s brilliant.

There are lots of blogs written by lovely SL residents (like me, lol) and if you haven’t noticed, there are way more female bloggers than male! WE WIN! This is why there’s an overwhelming number of fashion geared towards female avatars (we shop more, we blog more) and a smaller percentage for male fashion.

Someone asked me where to find male fashion blogs, well here you go. Follow this link, there are at least 20 fashion blogs listed here.

    Alirium

    Fantasy Faire is open! I picked up this gorgeous Erika hairstyle (Crystals Edition) from Wasabi Pills there, and I love it! The Crystals Edition pack includes 3 exclusive hair colors, not sold as part of Wasabi Pills hair packs.

    The Ivy Dress and matching Ivy Necklace that I’m wearing is from Elate! Both are available at Bees Through the Seasons 2.

    Cerridwen's Cauldron

    I fell in love with these gorgeous plants from Cerridwen’s Cauldron, found on the Titan’s Hollow sim at Fantasy Faire. I bought some and planted them at Juicy sim, in front of cheLLe’s main store. If you guys pop by cheLLe, you’ll see my slightly crappy landscaping, but I tried!

  • Kitchen Renovation

    I love home decor in SL! I'm constantly buying furniture sets and then giving it away to friends after I'm bored with them. For months now, I have been using the fabulous Artilleri kitchen set (which I love and will now need to find a new home for), but I fell in-love with a new kitchen set so it was time for some major renovation.

    The before picture shows my kitchen, mostly decorated with Artilleri items. The after picture shows my new kitchen, renovated with decor from AMBIANCE Interactive Furnishings. I'm using the Esmerelda Kitchen set, which is sold as a complete set or separately (pick and choose your own pieces).

    I love that there are animations built into the set and includes a menu to change textures to match my home. I've chosen the 'Beach' texture option since I prefer the lighter counter tops. The decors included in this set makes it 'homey' and feels like a real kitchen.

    I had a problem with the fireplace being too big for my small home, so the creator Desiree Bisiani resized it for me. I'm really impressed with the customer service so far, so I would definitely consider furnishing more rooms in my home with Ambiance items.

    What’s your favorite skin? Why is it your favorite?

    Right now, my favorite skin is Elly from Pink Fuel (if you didn’t already know). I like it cos  the face is adorable and the skin tone works perfectly well with many hair colors. Also, Elly comes with a lot of lipsticks and lipgloss tattoos!

    I tend to move from one brand to another, but when I decide to stick with a skin, I wear it almost exclusively for months and months.

    I use to review tons of skins, but this past year, I haven’t reviewed many at all cos hardly anything appeals to me. I guess I won’t be known as the “skins blogger” anymore, and that’s quite alright with me.

    108 skin in 2009
    65 skins in 2010
    and just 22 skins in 2011 (so far)!!

    Looking for something green to wear? Katat0nik has two adorable Shamrock Dresses for free in the Magic of Oz hunt! Here are the instructions from the hunt:

    Only in Oz does it rain gold!  How does the Cuardach  work?  Easy as one, two, three!

    Step 1.  Look around.  There are gold coins spawning randomly all over the sim.  When you see one, click it.  It will disappear and you will get a coin in your inventory.

    Step 2.  Wear your golden coin.  It will appear in your hand and tell you which shop to visit to get your gift.  Find that shop in Oz.

    Mayfly Eyes, Liquid Light

    Mayfly Eyes

    Back when mesh eyes were new to the grid, I blogged the Mayfly (Deep Sky Eyes) mesh eyes, and they still remain one of my favorite mesh eyes. The textures from Mayfly are so realistic and the eyes comes with four different Whites choices, is scripted to re-size and also includes the texture eyes, if some days you want to wear those instead of mesh!

    These new Liquid Light series eyes from Mayfly have a slightly larger pupil and softer reflections than the previous Deep Sky Eyes series. I just love the new reflections, they look even more realistic than before.

    I also wanted to quickly mention that this new hair I’m wearing is Clawtooth’s first mesh hair! While the Blonde texture is not that great, I think the style is so adorable. I definitely will keep my eye on Clawtooth hair, especially cos this mesh hair fits so well.

She made the fabulous Stores and Creators list and I asked if she would be willing to pool our efforts into one site instead of two and she agreed.
