I love a nice party dress! This Shushu Frill Mesh Party Dress from Beetlebones is simply adorable. This dress has a mesh skirt and mesh top (as two separate attachments), and also includes a sheer flexi skirt worn over the mesh skirt for a lil’ extra movement.
To add a lil’ bling to this dress, I’ve added the Kristabel ring from Donna Flora. This ring does not actually *bling* btw, it’s just nice and sparkly 🙂

I’ve stripped most of my usual tattoo makeup off, no eyeliner, no blush, and wearing only nude lipgloss. I removed my usual thick prim lashes and replaced it with a very subtle (natural) pair of short lashes. You can barely see it! I know the challenge says ‘no lashes’ but you wouldn’t clip off your lashes in real life, when doing a bare face challenge!

I think it’s time for me to delete my old sculpted prim nails, and update with mesh nails!! The Ultra Rigged Mesh Fingernails from Jamman includes a HUD with over 800 different polish textures, 11 nail shapes, the ability to change nail shape & nail texture per finger, and so much more! I like wearing short round nails, but the sharper tips might be good for certain fantasy styles. Rigged mesh nails are wonderful, they’ll fit all hand sizes from 0 to 100, so you’re not limited to just a few sizes.
If you don’t want to wear mesh hands, I think mesh nails are a wonderful way to update your avatar, without the hassle of matching skin tone.

I think I’m losing my blogging mojo lately. I’ve decided to do something different to my hair posts by adding stitches to my face. I don’t know why I love scratches & cuts in SL, I just do. It’s not cos I like violence, or want to depict violence… let’s just say a KittyCats scratched my face? 😛

I’ve waited forever for Tetra to update the Bella dress to include LaraX, and finally, it happened last week. This dress is my favorite item from Tetra, so I’ve been hoping for this update so I can wear it again. I dislike having to switch bodies back and forth, which means a lot of my inventory for Maitreya Lara remains unworn until they release the LaraX update. Eventually, I’ll just end up deleting those items. When a brand doesn’t revisit their previously released items that are still good, I find myself moving on from that brand.
Currently, I’m silently boycotting another brand in Second Life for this very reason. They released a dress that I love, then brought it back in a special limited edition color. The following year, they added the LaraX version of that dress but ignored the special edition color, leaving it without an update. A few months later, they released it again as a Halloween hunt item, complete with blood splatter, but again, they opted not to revisit the special edition color. I have decided to boycott them until they correct this oversight. I know you might be thinking, “But Gogo, you paid a dollar for that dress; designers won’t work for free!” However, I don’t believe I’m being entitled. They have released this dress four times now, three of which included LaraX. Why are they ignoring the only color I truly love? When brands put in a little effort to update previous items, they reap the rewards of being able to sell it again to even more customers, even if some customers do benefit from the free update. Even previous customers can show it some love by wearing it again and giving the brand free marketing.
This is just one of many random reasons I am choosing to boycott something in Second Life. Let me know in the comments if you’re currently boycotting anything, and why!
My favorite prim nails store, Love Soul, released 4 more sets of adorable prim nails!! If you haven’t ever worn prim nails, you should really give it a chance! I love these, and they totally enhance ugly avatar hands.

Gogo, How do you take shadow pictures without the horrible pixilated lines? I can run shadows without lag but there are always those crappy pixels and i spend a half hour in PS blurring them. Any tips? Or do I just need a better graphics card. Ati Radeon 5750. PS without shadows on ultrta at 16X things looks great.
