Cheese! I like using emotes, it’s not too hard to capture a realistic expression if you’re patient. I had to clean up the lips edge a bit in the picture above cos smiling causes the texture in that area to stretch, ugh :X Don’t ever pay for an emoter HUD, they’re usually free on Marketplace. If you see someone selling one, they’re just reselling the freebie emotes that have been around forever.
TOXIC has just released this Military Jacket in a range of colors, and they’re so cute! I could have totally used this for my stewardess post a few weeks ago. I love this rich Blue color & all the details on the shirt (small texture buttons & sculpted collar, sleeves, and epaulette).

I went to buy the new Yukata from Edelweiss, and landed right at the Summer Festival. This place is amazing! I think it is ending soon, so grab a friend and come collect some yummy prim food! Join the Edelweiss group (there’s a sign near the entrance) and click each vendor for your free food gift.
Every couple of months, Belle Epoque gives out a L$500 store credit. It’s generous, but also smart marketing, because it doesn’t just bring traffic back to the main store, it gets people posting on social media too. I always rush to spend mine the second I get it because I’m paranoid I’ll forget and it’ll expire, assuming it even does.
I picked up the Floria dress from Belle Epoque in Beige. I normally never wear beige or brown tones, but something about this screamed Montana-inspired look to me.
And yes, I used AI to edit the photos. I’m shameless about it now. But the photo didn’t magically appear out of nowhere either. Every item I’m wearing was still created in Second Life.
I normally don’t edit my photos much at all and usually just post raw SL screenshots, but part of me wanted to push back against the anti-AI stance from the vocal minority. You really can’t tell other residents what they can or can’t do in this game, especially when it isn’t against TOS.
I’m still amused watching Second Life residents argue endlessly about AI while brands quietly use it all over their advertising and profit from it. If people want to lecture residents about using AI, maybe start by asking your favorite brands to stop using it too.
I suck at hunting for things, so I gave up after finding 6 items from the Seasons Hunt. One of the things I found, was this adorable pair of Swank Glasses from DECO. It was my very first time at DECO and the store had lots of Chandeliers (light sources) that gave me a massive headache. DECO is just one of many stores in SL that is plagued with this problem — I wonder if the owner/builder doesn’t have local lights checked? For those of us that have it “on” by default, it’s a nightmare and impossible to see your vendors, let alone hunt for tiny objects.
After yesterday’s all Black look, I felt like I needed a little Pink back in my SLife. Today’s outfit is super girly and very frilly. I’m wearing the Frilled Vest from Malt, Aragon Skirt from Fishy Strawberry, and this super kawaii bunny bag from TokiD (Season’s Hunt gift).
I’m honestly kind of impressed that Second Life is actually making a move on the Old Linden Homes. There’s even an eviction date now: May 19. When I wrote about this two weeks ago, I figured it was still a ways off, but apparently it’s happening. Naturally, some residents will be upset by this “sudden” news, even though the signs have been there since Bellisseria launched. These homes have been marked for closure for a while now.
That said, I think this is a smart move for Linden Homes overall. We need people to shift over to Bellisseria and take the available homes. I totally understand that losing your place is upsetting. Some people really don’t like change. I’ve even caught myself wondering how I’ll feel one day, maybe decades from now, when Second Life decides to shut down Bellisseria. Honestly, I’m already sensitive to changes and updates in the Linden Home regions. Sometimes I’m excited, especially when there are new models to play with. Other times, I dread it and worry it might be the thing that makes me leave.
If you’re reading this and you’re still living in one of the Old Linden Homes, don’t panic. This is an upgrade. You’re getting twice the land impact and a more active neighborhood. Bellisseria isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. It’s likely to be around for at least another ten years, so you’re not being pushed out overnight.
Also, I can’t remember if I blogged about the Aperture Viewer yet, but I tried it last month and was genuinely impressed. You can take raw photos in Second Life that look like they’ve already been edited in Photoshop. I’ll probably stick with this viewer for a while because I love shiny new things. The sliders are super fun to experiment with, and it’s helping me look at my photos in a new way. I’m even playing with colors I usually avoid, like black and white.
Exile has just released the Janine hairstyle, a short bob with soft wispy layers that curl outwards. I'm wearing the hair in Harlow and Ash color, both available in the Blondes pack. This hair is short & sexy and perfect for halter dresses.
I am wearing HUCCI's newest release, the Heather Collection dress which can be worn as a short dress or short pants (prim shorts cuffs included), and has two prim beaded halter straps in gold or silver version.

My friends are laughing at me for being obsessed with cheap skins but I am totally obsessed with Mother Goose this week. This Bini skin is just $50L for a set of 4! I read this hot tip on Banana Vella’s blog, so ty Banana! I ran to Mother Goose to pick this up because I didn’t see it when I was purchasing Josephine a few days ago.

I love my outfit today, it’s so sassy! I do however have a gripe. This necklace I’m wearing is from MANDALA. For some reason it is full-bright only and of course, the necklace is no mod 🙁 I’ve tried to contact the owner via notecard to get a non full-bright version and they’re not responding to me. Screw you MANDALA! I’ve always thought their jewelry was perfect (the other necklace I have isn’t full-bright) so this is highly disappointing.
