Welcome to my Country Chic Dining room from LaCahute! After a few years, I’ve finally updated my dining set, and I’m so in love with this French country-inspired set. I’m keeping this for a long time, cos it matches the rest of my home perfectly. Gogo lives in a French country/beach/retro home LOL!! I like it all, and I try to blend it all together.

It was time for Gogo to get a fresh new portrait to celebrate the new PBR lighting in Second Life! The last time I changed my profile photo was 4 years ago. Despite taking selfies all the time, I rarely think a photo is good enough for a profile update. Hopefully, this one will last for the next four years!

These photos were taken at my Linden Home using the JuicyBomb – Country Skies EEP Settings. Even though I made these settings pre-PBR, the viewer automatically adjusts the lighting—it’s fantastic that they still work so well for photography. If you have this pack, you can easily tweak the lighting to suit your needs.

I’ve been binge-watching Sword Art Online lately. An anime about players who are unable to log out of an MMO until they defeat the final boss, it explores all kinds of philosophical subjects that have to do with online gaming. That’s right up my alley! I love deep things like that.
Here’s a paraphrased quote someone says in the series: “The choices you make in a video game can affect who you are in real life.” This quote doesn’t mean simple tasks or clearing levels, but how you treat other players. I agree wholeheartedly with this.
Second Life is especially prone to this because it has no end goal unless you create one. If you attack the grid like it’s a game, manage your business like a ruthless CEO, or discard of people you meet in rp sims like they’re little more than an NPC to be used, you’re going to change irl if you aren’t that way already. You can become someone you didn’t think you would ever be. You will slowly but surely become a low-key sociopath. I’m not kidding.
The power anything in this game can grant you can end as soon as the grid itself goes away. Do yourself a favor, and always remember what’s really important in life. Your happiness. Your sanity. Your friends. People who love and care about you. Power and cash are not the end-all. Don’t let a lust for these things and the setting of a virtual world turn you into someone you don’t recognize anymore.
It might be a strange word of warning all of a sudden, but let’s get real: Sansar is something LL is creating because it needs to retain its users, or else the company may flop and both grids can be lost. We’re looking at a possible endgame here with our surroundings. But don’t let that take away what’s important. Love conquers all, and will be there when all your virtual swag has disappeared.

Happy Sunday again! Lark knows the way to my floral-loving heart, with these new Briar arm bands and Dreaming Mask. I think every girl on the grid needs a set, even if it only comes in Pink! The Bloom Dress from Katat0nik is so adorable, I wish it was just a regular top too, so I can wear it with pants.

FATEplay released the Rena (Sailor Fuku) outfit in 8 colors, but I had to pick just one, so I went with the Green and Pink combination. This outfit includes the shoes and a magic wand!! To be honest, I just bought the outfit cos I wanted the wand, but you get everything for $500L, which is a pretty good deal.
I looove the animation included in the wand, and the particle hearts. The Sailor outfit is cute, but I wished it came with a few more options, such as a HUD to change the color of the bows, and change bow types. I may be really spoiled by all the options from the My School Look by Monso, whose school outfit is still my favorite in SL.
Instead of taking pictures today, I decided to make a video to show you guys the animation. The video quality is slightly lower than my pics, cos my video capture software isn’t that high-res, and I use Windows Movie Maker to edit (LOL).
Cute post and good for you at getting this done early. Looking forward to more vendors getting switched over.
