5 tattoo layers is not enough! I thought five was plenty when this first came out, but sadly, I’ve already used all 5 on my face and I probably could add more if there were more slots available.
My base skin is the LeLutka Natasha (Hush) Makeup4 — then I added:
This is the order that they’re worn in; the freckles shows better if worn over the blush and teeth layer should go on top of lipgloss (lipstick) layer.
I’m absolutely loving ReShade! I recently started exploring it, and I’ve noticed a lot of SL residents using it to enhance their snapshots. However, there are some downsides. It can be a bit tricky to use, and you’re limited to taking screenshots at your display size rather than high-resolution images.
The graphics settings in Second Life have improved significantly over time. With certain third-party viewers, you can access features like depth of field, tonemapping, and color grading, which means that while ReShade is still entertaining to play with, it’s not as essential as it once was. That said, it can create stunningly ethereal effects, making your photos truly pop! See all of my ReShdae snapshots on Flickr.
ReShade is a generic post-processing injector for games and video software developed by crosire. Imagine your favorite game with ambient occlusion, real depth of field effects, color correction and more … ReShade exposes an automated and generic way to access both frame color and depth information (latter is automatically disabled during multiplayer to prevent exploitation) and all the tools to make it happen. Now, let’s discuss my look for today. I’m a huge fan of Wings hair, but I’ve noticed lately that the bangs sit very closely against my face and lashes, leading to some stubborn alpha glitches. I really think the designer should consider tweaking the front strands to sit a bit further from the face, or at least provide some customization options.
I usually tackle alpha glitches in my photos, which is why I always recommend demoing hair before you buy. I’ve adjusted my shape and face somewhat, but I’m not keen on widening my face just to make this hairstyle work. Finding the perfect fit is crucial!
For the first time in years, I have no SL home!! I sold my home sim last night, and now I just have my pose stand parked over a friend’s sim. I already miss my lil tropical island so much.
Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere though! I still have 3 sims in SL.
I went to look at some tropical land last night from some of the big estates in SL, and the tier prices were alright. Some of these estates are beautifully landscaped with a strict covenant. The only two things I’ve noticed that I did not like was 1) some estates uses UGLY terrain textures (your sand should not be that Yellow) and 2) requiring a “purchase” price. I will never pay to buy land on a privately owned sim, unless it was credited back as rent (which is what I do on my own sims).
I wish more of my friends were into sandy beaches, so we could all share a sim together!
Hello from Starlight Skies! This is my friend Sparkle’s Linden Home that she turned into a magical sparkly forest. She was able to accomplish a lot on a prims budget! Depending on what happens with region pricing once Linden Lab is fully on the cloud; we might bring back some of our regions. I’m ready to do a beach region and park it next to Sparkle’s sparkly forest.

Hello from Stillwater Village! I needed a pretty place to show off my pretty new teacup from Sparkle Skye, so I found this gorgeous estate and decided it was the perfect backdrop for these photos. The trick to crashing an estate in Second Life is simple: act like you belong. Stand in front of houses or public buildings, but steer clear of homes where people are inside. I’ve never once been asked to leave. Most estates are surprisingly welcoming to bloggers and photographers.
A little bird told me that today is Truth Hawk’s birthday, so happy birthday to one of the most prolific hair creators in Second Life. Thank you for two decades of beautiful styles! One of my earliest memories is wandering into Truth’s shop in an urban region, back when he only sold clothing. Are you old enough in Second Life to remember that? It feels like things have come full circle now that Truth is releasing clothing again. This top might be a little nipply, but I don’t care. It’s cute, it’s still modest in its own way, and I love it.
I spent the entire month of August without shopping. I survived retail blackout and came out the other side.
Now I’m back just in time for autumn cozy vibes and everything the grid has to offer.
