Have you seen this Sock Bun tutorial on Youtube? When I saw this new Manon hairstyle from D!va, I thought it looked exactly like a Sock Bun hairstyle! It’s so easy to do if your hair is long, and the sock stays in place all day. I’m wearing the Manon hairstyle with the LaGyo Bonbon headband, but this hair is also scripted with its own headband with color-changing gems & band.
I’m wearing the Greta Dress from Ingenue! This dress in Songbird print is so sweet, and I’ve also attached the Bizarre Flower headpiece (shrunken, and worn as a flower brooch) from Lagyo, to accessorize.
I’ll write something, when I have more time this weekend. I have a few posts that I want to do for some current events in SL, if time permits. I miss blogging, and I haven’t completely abandoned this blog. Stick with me, I love you! <3
I found myself on this map in VRChat not long after signing up for the game. I didn’t know what was going on at first. People were waiting in this lobby like it was a real club. I could hear muffled music as if I were outside a real building. A group of girls chattered away near me, talking about what club to hit up next since their favorite dj’s set was over.
Inside, people were dancing. A moderator was positioned off to the side and looking over the crowd like a bouncer. As I had no one to talk to and didn’t have a VR headset at the time, I left once my curiousity was satisfied. I wouldn’t return again for half a year. That’s when my experience changed entirely.

Welcome to the Helios Casino & Lounge. Linden Lab created a roleplay casino experience in Second Life where residents can play the games with free daily tokens. When the tokens run out, residents can buy more with Linden dollars. But wait a minute, I thought casinos were banned in Second Life? Well, they still are. The Helios Casino is a fake casino where you can spend real money to buy tokens and play games to win coins that you can’t cash out or convert back into Linden dollars or real money.

Who thought it was a good idea to drop ugly concrete homes on our cherished waterfront?
I love Bellisseria. That’s no secret. I’ve loved it since the launch in 2019 and I even went Lifetime Premium so I could keep my little homes forever.
Yesterday I woke up to find that the new Ridgewood Enclave, which first appeared on the west coast of the OG Bellisseria continent, has now crept north and is just one region away from blocking my beloved Victorian Linden Home. It’s one region away from destroying my waterfront view.
Unblockable waterfront is the dream in Second Life. People pay big money for it on private estates and when it comes with a Linden Home for the cost of a yearly Premium subscription it feels like winning the lottery. For years we believed our rare coastal homes were secure, that our unblockable views would always stay that way. That sense of security was tossed out the window this week when Second Life started building in front of the very views that made Bellisseria magical.
I’m disappointed. I know many residents who live along these coasts will feel the same sadness when their open water is suddenly replaced with rows of concrete houses. Bellisseria was supposed to be the sure thing, the continent where you could settle in, decorate, and trust that your neighborhood and view would remain untouched. Now that certainty is gone.
Part of the charm of Bellisseria is its consistency. When we choose a theme we expect it to stay that way with only minimal or optional updates. We don’t want drastic changes that undo the very reasons we moved there in the first place.
I wasn’t going to say anything. But the truth is, as residents, we should feel free to voice our opinions when the HOA, also known as Linden Lab, makes sweeping decisions without considering the people already living there. It’s not unreasonable to expect at least one buffer row of ocean regions between themes, something to preserve the views and avoid jarring transitions.
Bellisseria isn’t just a collection of regions. It’s the neighborhoods and views that matter to us, and we don’t want to see them ruined.

UNICEF Pakistan Flood Crisis Fund 4 – 19 September 2010
I know this is very short notice but this may be something we can do on a regular and ongoing basis. UNICEF are currently raising funds for the Pakistan Flood Crisis. Millions of people have been affected and thousands are without homes.
If you’d like to be part of this fund raising effort you could donate all or part of the proceeds of an item/s (I’d like to request at least 50% of your item/s – can be exclusive, existing, discounted whatever you like!) The point is to raise as much money as we can in the 2 week period.
I will be donating 100% of the proceeds of one hairstyle and doubling the amount raised off my item to go towards this cause. I’ll advertise the fund through my update group and list all the merchants involved. I have ordered a sim “Project Donate” from which you will vend your items (in addition to your own locations). You are free to landmark to your own stores from this location which will be entirely removed from my own sim.
I’ve created an account “Unicef Rainfall” which will collect the proceeds. Once you confirm you’d like to participate I’ll send out all necessary split scripts etc. You will also need a group space available to place your item/s.

Love the sock idea. I have long hair in RL and running out of ideas. Most the time i keep it tied in ponies. This is a cute idea. Better then mine of whacking it all off. lol Thanks for sharing. (my hair thanks you too) =)

The very same day I read this , I saw a Non-Sock version of the rolled up sock, that comes in colors similar to real hair (if that makes sense) at an accessories shop in the mall.
