I love challenges that requires NO PHOTOSHOP! I’m forever amazed by how nice residents in SL can capture photographs with just the in-world tools available to everyone. I remember when we didn’t have Windlight, Shadows, or Depth of Field!! I think all of these things make it so easy to capture reasonably nice looking photographs with little effort. For the image above, I modified one of Torley’s Windlight settings and enabled Depth of Field.

This is a blogging/photography challenge put together by Harlow Heslop. Your challenge is to take a completely unedited photograph in Second Life. You are allowed to use any windlight you please, but you aren’t allowed to use HUDs, photoshop, or any other altering/editing software to enhance/decorate your photograph. How beautiful will your photo be? Time to find out!
In my last post, I mentioned Luxe Box and wasn’t sure if I would join. I ended up falling asleep that night and missing the deadline to sign up. Now that I’ve seen the products showcased on everyone else’s blog, I must say it was “worth it” for the $1,000L price tag, if you don’t mind an eclectic mix of styles and quality. Most seemed happy with the products offered, but was unsure if they would buy a blind box again with a possible price increase. Even though some of my favorite brands participated in this round, their items would not have been enough to entice me to buy the entire box. I am sure that many people who bought the box wishes there were previews!!
As I mentioned in my last post, designers want to know how much they will make before selecting the products to send. I noticed that once the items were sent out, people complained gave feedback, then designers made changes and sent out even more options. Keep giving feedback, it works!
Consumers (aka people who spend money) always have the upper hand in SL, unless you choose to play by their (aka people who want to earn money) rules. How can you get previews of Luxe Box? Don’t join the group until the very last-minute. I propose waiting until the 14th of June to join. The longer you wait, the more likely it is that designers and organizers will release preview pics of their products to entice you. After all, you have the money and they have products to exchange for money.

Clawtooth recently had a 25% off sale on all mesh hairstyles, but I wasn’t able to blog it in time! Sorry guys! The sale is over now, but you can still get all the hairstyles at regular price. When Clawtooth first launched, I thought the prims were too chunky, and the textures were a bit streaky. Over the past year, the new mesh hairstyles have really grown on me, and there’s definitely an improvement overall. I still like the Dark Browns colors better, so I wear it more often than Blondes, but I’m still waiting for a really nice light Blonde texture from here.
This adorable outfit I’m wearing is the Freedom Moose March outfit from Silk Worms. I’m wearing everything that comes with the outfit minus the arm bands, and matching boots. I’ve decided to pair this with the new Equestrian Boots from Gos, to give it a more Western look, and less Gorean.

Alienbear Designs has just released the Azucena Queen Set. This set includes the crown, necklace, earrings, and matching bracelets. This whole set is stunning! If you’re looking for something that will pair well with gorgeous formal gowns, I highly recommend this set.
