This newly released Anna Blouse from Ricielli is so pretty and the fabric folds are ultra realistic. I am pairing it with the High Waisted Shorts also from Ricielli. Truth released three gorgeous hairstyles at The Epiphany (a gacha event); I am wearing the one called Ice and a matching crown. This is what I call awesome princess hair, and a total must have if you like long hairstyles.
Look at my gorgeous Lola Wedges from Maubray. The shoes include a HUD to change textures + color for both the upper and heel part. I picked floral print cos I don’t have a lot of floral printed shoes in SL, and I am so in love with these.

You made it, time flies, year went by so fast, this one’ll be better, etc. Did you have a good holiday? Did you get anything? My family exchanges presents, but we put a priority on wishing each other well and telling each other how much each person means to us. For New Years’, I spent my time partying with my mates at an art studio. There was general running around and prank-pulling that day.
Since Christmas and New Years’ have passed, it’s time to talk about resolutions. I originally said I wasn’t going to do any, but I actually could manage some.
So, here they are:
Do that secret project I said I was gonna do.
FINISH MY PORTRAIT WORK. I do portraits in Second Life but haven’t finished my projects due to stuff happening in rl and being sad for a bit. Now that I’m back, I’m going to solve this problem by opening a Tinychat room and linking my friends to it. People watching me work will ensure I finish. Bam! That resolution is totally happening. I don’t know the time yet but it’ll probably be in the afternoon when I do this.
Clean out my inventory. I have tons of textures from old clothing, WIP skin work, makeup I never released, unfinished ideas, finished ones, and long forgotten stuff I did and didn’t keep at my store for very long. For all of that, I’m at 30k in my inventory–which isn’t bad, but it needs to be lower. I’m a hoarder so this is going to be a challenge.
Paint stuff. Make stuff. Publish stuff.
Be confident in my ability to be a living, breathing unicorn with a belly full of weird ideas and crazy talent.

During certain holidays in Second Life, you can acquire a mesh head for as little as L$10 or even for free! When I discovered that LAQ is offering a Black Friday Sale on the Era2 mesh heads, I teleported over to check it out. The Era2 EvoX head is available for L$10, while the full version is 75% off, priced at L$1,150. It had been a while since I last blogged about the Era2 mesh heads, so I took the time to become reacquainted with all of their features.
Let me begin by saying that I hold a great deal of admiration for Mallory Cowen as a creator. She has her own distinct style and has been creating in Second Life for a long time. LAQ has cultivated a loyal following. For many years, LAQ was my go-to destination for realistic, youthful face skins. Despite my feelings for Mallory and the brand, my reviews will always remain honest.
Now, let’s discuss the Era2 EvoX head. I was eager to try it on, especially since I could wear the new Paige (EvoX) skin from Glam Affair. I also noted that the teeth are now adjustable, which is fantastic! I have always wished to reposition the teeth to avoid them protruding when I adjust my face shape for smaller lips. Upon trying it on, I immediately observed that this EvoX head does not come with a HUD. It’s not a mistake; it simply does not include a HUD. Therefore, you cannot change the lashes, adjust the teeth, correct the skin texture appearing on the ears (which is a notable flaw), or utilize any of the animations included with the full HUD. If you own the full Era2 mesh head, you already have this HUD, including the EvoX head version. However, for residents who are experiencing LAQ for the first time, here’s a pro tip: Get the demo of the full Era2 mesh head, and you can utilize the HUD on the EvoX head. Thus, this L$10 sale is an excellent opportunity for those dipping their toes into LAQ for the first time and needing a functional head. In my opinion, it is a mistake not to include the full HUD. Even free heads offered by other brands come with complementary HUDs.
As always, even though the head is EvoX and the skin is EvoX, the fit differs from that of a LeLutka EvoX head. This variation is true across all mesh head brands; the EvoX version is always… interesting. Sometimes it works well, and sometimes it does not. In this case, I found that it works reasonably well, aside from some texture stretching on the shadow of the lower lips.

I went to Pink Fuel’s main store by mistake cos I didn’t remember where the Bloodthirsty skin was sold at, and won these two pandas from the Lucky Chair! I love it when I win random stuff, cos really, who doesn’t like to win? Gimme, gimme more.
I was bored and needed a reason to use my sculpted tongue from last week, so I am licking (orwhatever vampires do before biting their victims) Pink Fuel’s Angel Panda.

I just want to make it clear that I do not know Juicy personally, I have no reason to say this other than I genuinely mean it – what you see is what you get with these shapes, they are absolutely beautiful.
I own half a dozen of them and I love them all dearly, I have only worn one other shapemakers creation in the last year and that lasted all of 2 days, hehe.
Juicy is da bomb!
It’s not the shape. I’m sure it’s perfect and high quality. But sometimes even the best shapes don’t match your skins … and vice versa. It’s the combination … they have to work as a team. And there are times when it just doesn’t.
I agree Ashlee. I don’t understand why people think that wanting to try a demo is in some way saying you that doubt the shape is good quality. I wouldn’t even consider buying a shape if I doubted the quality of it, so I certainly wouldn’t need a demo.
But as you said, some shapes do not work with certain skins, no matter how good the quality of each is. And I do think it’s a shame Juicy shapes don’t have demos. I have never bought one for that reason. Though if they did have them, I’d be the first person trying them out, because they look lovely.
You’ve been one of the shape masters for quite sometime. Secretly, Im looking forward to something quite new in the face area, something that challenges you and makes us see how far you can go with the available mesh to create something a bit different from your facial structure. After your poll, Im looking forward to your next shape!!
I bought this shape and I really like it. It’s beautiful paired with the skin that it was designed for. She is small, but you can modify if you’d like her a bit taller. Very nice.
