Joy is discovering a Target lookalike in Second Life, aptly named Bullseye! Picture this: walking in, grabbing a basket, and immersing yourself in an authentic Target experience in Second Life. It’s strikingly realistic, mirroring the brick-and-mortar store we all know and love.
Imagine the thrill if Second Life boasted department stores where you could actually browse and purchase clothing on the spot? There’s something delightful about stores that truly resemble stores. Remember the days when hair shops were designed like actual salons? That added touch of realism was incredibly fun.
Here I go…. I don’t review many of these “celebrity” skins because the sources are most likely not legit. There, I said it. Many people refuse to wear a celebrity face but places like Redgrave, Glance cater to these looks and there are tons of you out there that WANT to look like Beyonce, Doutzen, Devon, Adriana, or whoever.
I’m wearing the newest release from GLANCE skins, it’s the Doutzen line. I’m guessing this was named for Doutzen Kroes (the model) — the face looks a lot like hers. These skins at first glance are pretty decent – I picked the least grainy of all the new faces to review here. The skins have issues (seams, grainy) but they’re overall “nice” — nice enough for a $4,000L fatpack splurge? Sure! I did. I’m not saying I will wear these all the time, but I will wear it sometimes.
Doutzen comes with 10 makeups and no options. I wish there were different brow options, or something else.. maybe cleavage options? Shown above is 6 of the 10 makeups available and the skins are only available in this skin tone. So if you like light-tan, then this is for you.
The body is pretty smooth and decent, I think that this is Doutzen version 2, so it’s much nicer than version 1 (which I didn’t purchase because I thought the quality was too poor).
I am a perfectionist though, and I noticed this massive leg seam! Yikes.
Second Life really wants the mobile app to succeed. They are now enticing premium residents to log into the app, complete random tasks daily, and each day, only one winner is selected to win a VIP Ticket. If you read the entire blog post, which is somewhat confusing, you deserve some type of prize. YAC Estate sucks!! I should probably ban everyone in this group from my sims because they annoy me so much. I had agreed to sell one of my openspaces to them @ a very good price for them, so the tickets were submitted and I cleared my sim out. Then they next day they left me an IM saying they had cancelled the ticket without saying why.
So now my objects folder are a mess, thanks YAC Estate people.. you suck a lot!!
I’ve known Mina Jun for a long time and I know the skins and everything from her shop are original works of art. It makes me sick that characters like Sara Lee and her dozens of alts are allowed to access Second Life and continue to harass legit content creators and steal from them.
Right now Sara Lee may be stealing from Mina directly, but the truth is, she is stealing from all of us. As a shopper, a biz owner, a blogger, a friend.. I’m completely fed up with people who continually abuse and take advantage of others.
Laqroki has just released the Jessica skins, and they're smoking hot! Jessica has 8 gorgeous makeups, and two brow options (Brown and Blonde). I'm wearing the Peach skin tone here, it has a beautiful sunkissed look and complements the glow on the skin perfectly.
Truth has just released five new hairstyles!! I'm in-love with the Gloria hairstyle (worn above).
