The new Exile hairstyles have built-in hats!!! I’m thrilled about this, cos it’s nearly impossible to find any hairstyles to fit perfectly underneath the hat. This look is inspired by nothing in particular, but it’s an outfit that I would love to have in RL.
What I’m Wearing:
LOGO – Infinity Chloe Hybrid Mesh Avatar
Exile – A Winter’s Tale (Brownie)
Monso – My School Look (Blazer) Size2/S
Maitreya – Moxie Over-Knee Socks (Choco)
Mon Tissu – Heathrow Boots (Chocolate)
The Secret Store – Tiny Satchel (Leather)
Alienbear Designs has just released the Azucena Queen Set. This set includes the crown, necklace, earrings, and matching bracelets. This whole set is stunning! If you’re looking for something that will pair well with gorgeous formal gowns, I highly recommend this set.
I am pairing the Azucena Queen Set with the Nardya’s Hallucination gown from Phoenix Rising. These two items compliment each other really well for that glamorous look.
I don’t often wear system dresses (or skirts), but this look just fell together, and it’s so very classy. The new Curve dress from LG Femme includes a sculpted belt with Gold or Silver accent. I’m wearing it with the Mino`aka shoes from R2 (available at Collabor88), and accessorizing with the LaGyo Adele jewelry set, LaGyo Zarema Gloves (in Croco Black) and the new LaGyo The Desperado bag in Black.
Check out LaGyo for a group gift! (The Desperado bag & Zarema gloves in Dappled texture)
What I’m Wearing:
Shag – Hello (Beach) new
R2 – Mino`aka (Red) Collabor88 November
LG Femme – Curve Dress (Primary Red)
LaGyo – Adele jewelry set
LaGyo – The Desperado bag (Black)
LaGyo – Zarema Gloves (Croco Black)
Caroline’s Jewelry has created six adorable Cake Rings for the Gatcha Festival. You’ll have to pay the Gatcha machine to win a random one, but they have no copy/transfer perms so you can trade these with friends and collect them all! 🙂
Are you tired of me starting every post with Blackout August? Well, it’s day 22. The original creator of this challenge, Imogen Aurelia, deleted her link on Flickr and kept part of it on Facebook. I’m not even sure she’s still doing the challenge herself, but I’m pushing through. I’m determined and almost at the finish line. What this challenge has shown me is that I’ve been selective for a long time, so while it started out kind of painful not being able to instantly grab that new hair I wanted, it also revealed that I don’t actually love everything made in SL, and I don’t need to have it right away.
For today’s look I dug deep into my inventory and remembered how much I used to love a brand called M.Birdie. I don’t think it’s open anymore, since the store’s Flickr is gone and the SLurl in the designer’s profile leads nowhere. I liked this store so much, but most of my items from them came through gacha events. Everything I have is made for Maitreya, but I managed to wear it with LaraX because this top is roomy and I used the alpha layers. If you still want this top, even though it’s at least seven years old, you can still find it on the Marketplace. If you know what happened to the M.Birdie store, let me know in the comments.
When my friends heard I was doing this challenge, they gave me tips on how to cope with not shopping. One of them said, “You could go spend store credit.” Which is true, I could, if I even remembered where I had store credit. The truth is I don’t want loopholes, I want to go without. I’m still blogging for a few brands and new items are hitting my inventory often, so I don’t feel completely deprived. I decided to sit out on promoting much of it this month, but that doesn’t mean I can’t promote it later. The great thing about Second Life is that when brands create items, they can keep selling them for years as long as the quality is good and people still want them. There’s this constant push to buy new and wear new, but I think that actually does brands a disservice. A dollar earned from a new item or an older one is still a dollar.
If you like the idea of Blackout August, you can start any time. Wearing items you already own shouldn’t ever feel like a betrayal, and it won’t make your favorite brands think less of you. They probably won’t even notice.
LeLutka has 6 new hairstyles at Hair Fair, and of course, they’re all adorable. I must admit that while I hardly ever wear hair bases, I am very happy that LeLutka has finally released some!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU! These updo styles are can be worn without or without hair base, but it’s a bit nicer when worn together.
LeLutka – Pinned | Loose | Shoop
LeLutka – Angela | Nicole | Knotted
Did you notice that the Nicole hairstyle features Red/Blue ribbons? I thought Thora had created something to celebrate July 4th, but she says it’s the colors of the Croatian flag. If you’re from a country with a flag that features Red/Blue (which is a couple of countries in the world), then I guess this hair is very patriotic!
Sweetest Goodbye is having a closing sale! I’ve been fangirling and blogging this brand for so many years, so I’m sad there won’t be any more new releases to look forward to. When a beloved brand closes, it’s a sad event in SL but you can say that SG is closing while it’s still extremely popular. Hopefully when Morphine isn’t super busy in RL, she’ll come back and and release more fabulous things, cos I’ll definitely be wearing out my SG items for years to come.
Top Row: Exile – Tonight Tonight | Truth – Auralee | Exile – Satisfaction
Bottom Row: Exile – Prelude | Truth – Helia
Exile and Truth released some fabulous hairstyles this week! I really wanted a Game of Thrones inspired hairstyle, and Exile released Prelude which I think looks just like Daenerys’s hair!
I couldn’t decide if I’m going back to Blonde or continue experimenting with Brown hair colors, so I wore both in today’s post! Hope you guys like this “Cocoa” Truth hair color.

Please take my poll and let me know which hair color you like best on me!
I love the outfit and I’ve been looking for hair with a cute hat for winter! I have to say, I much prefer to see you looking like Gogo rather than with the mesh head I’m seeing on so many blogs.
