Trick-or-treat! It took me 11 days to complete the Bellisseria Trick-or-Treat event and collect 800 candies to receive all of the Boopie prizes. It’s my birthday month, and I couldn’t be more excited about October! My friends gifted me a new Teegle horse for my birthday, which is quickly becoming a cherished tradition. I took my new horse for a ride around Aurelias, admiring all of the autumn decorations going up.
I’ve recently become really into horses, and wow, I had no idea how expensive this hobby could be! Equestrian activities are super popular in Second Life, and I’ve found tons of amazing horses and riding accessories. However, I’ve noticed a lack of riding outfits, especially ones designed for my LaraX body. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that designers will realize how big the equestrian community is in Second Life and start creating more riding outfits. I’m particularly interested in Victorian/Regency-style outfits, not just the traditional cowboy ones. Don’t get me wrong, I love the cowboy style too, but there’s so much more out there!
My newest horse is a Teegle Tennessee Walking Horse, and I also have a wonderfully chonky Belgian Horse. I adore these two because of their size and appearance. Teegle offers a wide variety of horse breeds, including smaller ones, but these two just seem to fit me perfectly.

Hi from Crestwick Island! This sim is great for exploring and taking photos. There are lots of cute shops and cafes to duck inside and stay awhile. I love fully decorated sims cos they truly come alive. If you appreciate places like these in SL, show your support by visiting, shopping, donating, etc.

Shag hair launched last year at hair fair, so it’s really great to see that they’re back again this year with even more hairstyles. I really like the Breathe Me style and the fedora hat on the These Things style. The fedora is scripted to change the Band and Hat 5 different colors.

Remember the Mother Goose skins I mentioned a few posts ago? The lure of the fatpack is too strong so I ended up giving away the single I bought to a friend (the skin is sold no copy, transfer) and getting a fatpack! Yay!
This skin is not as realistic as what I normally wear, so I don’t know why I like it so much, but I do!

Happy Friday, everyone in Second Life! I’m excited about this new set of poses I found. The Erin pose & anim pack from Goyo comes with cute headphones, perfect for enjoying music or snapping fun photos. What I appreciate most is that each pose has an animation, plus a flipped version. However, I did notice my fingers were not positioned perfectly in some poses, which made me tweak them using the poser in the Black Dragon viewer. It’s not my usual viewer, but it’s pretty useful for these adjustments.
Ever put on a skin and felt like it could use a bit more shine? I found this Highlighter set by Izzie’s that offers lots of options to add a nice glow to your skin. The skin that I’m wearing, Emery from Glam Affair, already looked good, but I couldn’t resist adding a bit more highlight to areas like the eyes, forehead, and the area just above the lip.

Have you ever looked back at your older shapes and thought, why did I think that looked good!?
I’ve had a couple of those moments throughout the years in SL, but my most recent shape disaster moment came when I realized I didn’t really like the downturned corners on my mouth anymore. I fixed it right away, but I was careful not to make it smiley mouth! I guess I like a neutral expression more than something that looked unhappy or psychotic.
Did you have any shape disasters in SL? What was something that you use to like, but now you don’t?

You should mention that Coco has a lot of new mesh clothing worth checking out at her clothing store. I recommend that people join the update group–Coco is famously generous in giving a lot of very nice clothing gifts to her group members.
And of course I meant Cocoro Lemon…all this snow in London has frozen my brain 🙂
