Head Mistress has just released this Foxy hair and it is totally BAD ASS!! It a messy and spikey updo, which I think is cute enough for gowns and other things too, not just casual wear.

If you haven't heard, artilleri will be removing the store card system on July 24th! I'll be wearing a lot of artilleri for awhile since I had to use my store card asap. I bought this fun artilleri Billie Biker top and paired it with the Betsy pants.

I would've shown you this on my Pink motorcycle but SL ate it! 😛

    What I'm Wearing:

Laqroki – April 01 [Fair] Glow skin
    Head Mistress – Foxy hair
    artilleri – Billie Biker top

    Two Questions for Bloggers

Cajsa asked two very interesting questions to Bloggers on her plurk timeline, so I thought I would re-post it here and also write my responses.

    Bloggers! Two Questions!

    1) How long did you blog before you received your first review copy from a designer that was not a close friend?

My first blog was kind of a mess. I was not aware of the fashionplanet feed yet, so I didn’t read anybody’s blog. I just made one to document my shopping and stuff I did with my friends. I never wrote a single review or did proper credits. Then one day, a friend showed me the fashionplanet feed and I saw so many fashion bloggers, some of them had great pics, some of them didn’t. I thought I could do it better, so I took my blog more “seriously” and moved it from Vox (lol, right?) to WordPress.

Oh, and nobody ever sent me any review copies just because they liked my blog. I didn’t have any designer friends either, I just fangirl’d them from afar, LOL!!!

    2) How long did you blog before you first requested a review copy of an item from a designer? (not a friend)

After I blogged for a few months, I asked Raven Pennyfeather (and Harper Beresford) for review copies of gorgeous House of Rfyre gowns. So yay! Thanks girls for not turning me away and dashing my fashionista dreams 😛

I really didn’t ask for many review copies until I felt confident that my blog had traffic and and decent pictures. There were lots of already established bloggers then, and of course, Linden Lifestyles and the Second Style blog/mag. I felt like I wasn’t anywhere near their level of traffic so I didn’t feel “deserving” of review copies.

I think that my experience as a fashion blogger differs from some of the new fashion bloggers now. I barely ever saw “review copies” mentioned back then, but now almost every designer has a policy listed somewhere in their profile or website, which encourages more bloggers to ask for them.

How I feel about the state of SL fashion blogging now is.. eh.. I’ll tell you guys another time 😛

    Tiki

Yesterday, I was having a rather difficult day, and then suddenly Patch Linden announced the release of Thousand Island Tiki Linden homes! This announcement brightened my entire day and possibly my week. Without seeing them first, I upgraded an account to Premium Plus and rolled for a Tiki house.

As a recovering Games of Home (GoH) addict, I quickly found myself drawn into rolling a theme that I know I won’t keep long-term. I immediately burned through the rolls—only five rolls for Premium Plus members? Could we have unlimited rolls? The next day, Second Life released even more Tiki homes. Although I don’t want them that much, my addiction took over, and I created another alt, spending an additional $30 just to burn another five rolls in a few minutes. As I mentioned, being a recovering GoH addict, two alts is my limit for this theme, and I will likely stay where I am for at least the next 30 days. I know these coastlines will eventually be blocked as more regions are launched to meet the demand.

    Tiki

Do I like Tiki Linden homes? I think I would appreciate them more if they were available in lighter colors—I am simply not a fan of brown. Additionally, I am not particularly fond of Tiki aesthetics or circular rooms. While I do like the house model in the photo, I don’t think this theme is meant for me. My favorite Linden home themes remain Traditional and Victorian.

I am grateful for the excitement that GoH provides; it’s fun to explore a new theme. However, I am already looking forward to the Alpine theme, and I hope it’s a winter wonderland. Please please please!

What are your thoughts on the new Tiki Linden homes?

  • Making Gogo in inZOI Character Studio

I’m thrilled about inZOI, a new life simulation game developed by Krafton, Inc. This game offers a plethora of creative freedom, reminiscent of The Sims. You can design characters, craft the environment, and shape the world to your heart’s desire.

As I’m currently experimenting with the demo version of inZOI Character Studio on Steam, I must say I’m already very impressed. Creating characters is a breeze with an array of customizable options. You can alter your face and body, and choose to be male, female, a child, or an elderly person—anything you desire within human form. The selection of hair styles, clothing, and accessories is impressive, with some items even offering color customization.

    inZOI Gogo

I am eagerly anticipating the release of the full game to explore beyond character creation. While I’m not an avid gamer, I adore the thought of standing around, taking photos, and changing outfits. Unfortunately, it appears to be a single-player game, which is a bit of a letdown as I was hoping to enjoy it with friends.

One of my favorite features is the built-in photo studio, complete with facial expressions, body poses, and even a few dancing animations. I can see myself ‘playing’ this game for an extended period, focusing solely on creating daily outfits.

  • Kookie and Djinn & Tonic

Are you ready????? Autumn weather IS here!! It's been raining like crazy where I live, and even flooding in some parts. I wish I had one of these Kookie Ono sweaters IRL, it's perfect and cozy.  The Ono sweater also includes the hair (it's attached to the hoodie).

I'm pairing the Kookie Ono sweater with a pair of Djinn & Tonic Tweedheart pants in Navy. These two pieces were made for each other, they go SO well together. The Navy color even matches <3

The Djinn & Tonic Tweedheart pants comes in 6 yummy Autumn shades:

    What I'm Wearing:

    LeLutka – LondonRevolutionLIght-makeup7
    Kookie – Coco Shoes
    Kookie – Ono Sweater

  • Stiletto Moody, hot mess…

Stiletto Moody gave group members a free pair of Stiletto Moody Bare Lana in Red to celebrate the brand’s anniversary. For various reasons, I haven’t ever bought a pair of SM shoes (with or without feet). I am usually pretty good with tinting feet — and I own a lot of shoes from different brands in SL with them. I don’t understand why a pair of shoes that costs well over $2,000L does not include a HUD but a rather primitive drop-down menu. Really SM, you can’t make a HUD? It would make the tinting process  SO much more pleasant. Other brands have them… Maitreya, SLink, even N-Core!

Anyways.. these shoes are FREE, so you know, like everybody else I’m curious to see what all the fuss is about.

All the photos taken below have NOT been post-processed — this is what a pair of Stiletto Moody Bare looks like to me:

    1. Straight out of the box — my skin doesn’t match and the ankle strap doesn’t fit into the shoe.

    2. I tried fixing my skin color via the ‘ControlFreak’ option and inputting my RGB — uh-oh my feet are PURPLE. So obviously I’ll have do it using the R,G,B drop-down menu which I hate. How am I suppose to know if I need to plus or minus more Green, Red or Blue? I’m a visual person, give me a HUD!

    3. 10 minutes later, I’ve matched my skin as best as I could and fixed the fitting issue on the ankle strap.

    4. Worn with my AO

Now that I’m satisfied with this, I hop off my pose stand and test the shoes out in-world with my AO. And it looks like crap….. hello hot mess. Looks good if you are posing but not so great when you want to wear it in-world.

    5. Is this what you paid $2,000L for? (or however much these costs, I don’t know the exact price)

Would I buy a pair of Stiletto Moody? NO — not with the ankle strap issue. The foot isn’t that nice either with all those heavy shadows but it’s probably something I could live with.. but not for the price tag or the ill-fitted prims.

I know there are die-hard Moody fans out there, so enjoy your shoes! 🙂

  1. That shirt is adorable. And I love Candy Mountain! A friend of mine owns it. Lots of über bright neon colors, and I love the tentacles and eyeballs at her in-world store. xD

  2. Noooo, now everyone will be wearing Candy Mountain! Oh, well. At least this way Mynx Legend will be able to make more things! Very cute shirt.
