This enchanting release from Katat0nik is a must have at this month’s Collabor88. The Woody Purse is hollowed with gorgeous flowers, vines & butterflies inside! And since I cannot resist a hair bow, the Dolly Vine Hair Bows are a perfect companion to many SL hairstyles.

LAQ Bento Motion Capture Mesh Head, Gaia 1.0
It’s raining mesh heads! I’m wearing Gaia 1.0, the newest Bento Mesh Head from Laq. I’m excited by bento editing capabilities and motion capture animations. I spent hours obsessively tweaking this head to look like me, but lately I’ve been more flexible with my looks. I wore the skin and makeups included in the Laq HUD, so this look is completely achievable right out of the box!
The Laq HUD is comparable to other mesh heads on the market – full of features and customization options. I particularly liked the Moods tab, which includes 4 default animated moods that you can play continuously, and 12 animated expressions (includes the option to play continuously or as poses).
My favorite feature on this HUD, is the Looks tab to save different skins & makeup options. With one click, the HUD saved my entire look, and even created a preview pic. The preview pic feature is amazing, cos I tend to forget what I have saved.
Watch Mallory’s video showing the motion captured animations, and tell me those are not the best animations you have ever seen! I like that each expression includes a few poses and plays in a continuous loop.
Now comes the critiques, which surprisingly isn’t much. What I want added to the HUD is a CLEAR ALL button, for when all of my makeup layers are wonky and I want to start over. This head is new, so there are not a lot of skins available for it yet. I would probably like it even more if I could try different skins. Thankfully, it is OMEGA-enabled, so there are some things that will work with it, but OMEGA is terribly slow.
Try the Laq bento mesh head and let me know what you think! How does this mesh head compare with your favorite? What feature do you want to see in future updates?
What I’m Wearing:
LAQ Bento – Motion Capture – Gaia 1.0
Truth Hair – Lisette
Teefy – Sophia Top Lacey (Bloom)
Empire – Jean Shorts Pink Fuel Doll v2 for Mesh Heads
I received the free update of the Doll v2 skin from Pink Fuel and tried it on all the mesh heads that I have: LeLutka (Stella), LOGO (Alex), and Catwa (Jessica). I like it on both LeLutka and LOGO, but it looked odd on the Catwa head. Mochi wears it so much better on the Catwa (Aisha) head shown on her ad!
One skin does not fit all mesh heads, but I do appreciate that Pink Fuel sent out a free update so people who already owned the system skin did not have to buy new mesh head versions.

I’ve been playing Once Human quite a bit with my friends lately, and it’s really opened my eyes to what makes Second Life so special. While there are definitely aspects of Once Human that Second Life could learn from, like implementing log-in and engagement rewards, here are some key things I genuinely appreciate about Second Life:
- Unlimited Inventory Storage, accessible everywhere.
- No Random Deaths, nothing can kill you.
- Weather-Proof, you can’t die from extreme heat or cold.
- Free Teleportation, getting around the grid is a breeze with free teleportation.
- Unlimited Appearance Changes, I can switch up my look anytime I feel like it.
- No Grinding Required, I can enjoy the game my way without endless grinding.
As a first-timer in the post-apocalyptic MMO world, I was shocked to discover that changing my appearance comes at a cost—tokens! The grind is real, but playing with the right friends makes it wildly addictive.
Right now, I’m taking a breather to try on some adorable items from the new round of Anthology. It’s still Spooktober, and I’m totally obsessed with the Broken Doll Joints overlay set from Badwill. I snapped two photos—one with the cracks and one without—and layered them in Photoshop. Afterward, I erased parts of the cracks that I didn’t want to keep. It would be amazing if there were options to mix and match the cracks across my body! I’ve never seen a broken porcelain doll tattoo before, so I was thrilled to rock this look.
Today, I’m wearing the Paige dress from Seeker, which comes with a HUD featuring fall prints and solid colors. I can even customize the dress, straps, pockets, and metal buttons! And I’m always on the lookout for the perfect pair of loafers, and the Mood Loafers from Cheezu is so well made and it looks like it’s in PBR. They come with a HUD for changing the color of the shoes, soles, and socks—so stylish!

There are six new makeups, but really it's twelve because each 'makeup' now includes two lipstick versions. I feel like Gala has totally spoiled her customers this time with so many choices!

Happy Mother’s Day! I’m sitting on a tree branch today, not exactly the proper place for a fashion post but I thought this tree branch looked lovely. My outfit was built around the newly released Melody Bustier from Truth (@ faMESHed). This bustier is well-textured and fits perfectly, except that it’s unlined (invisible on the inside). I would prefer it to be lined, so if you do mind things like that too, just try a demo first.
Gorgeous new Workwear Leather Clutch & Wristlet from Mon Tissu. I’m holding the Clutch version (Unrigged), the Wristlet version is rigged and the strap wraps around the wrist. It didn’t find with my SLink hands, so I chose not to wear it that way.
What I’m Wearing:
Pink Fuel – Sora (Peach)
Truth – Zendaya (Swedish)
Truth – Melody Bustier (Antique) XS
Monso – My First Jeans (Grey 1) Size2
Mon Tissu – Prudence Collar (White)
G-Field – Wedge Pumps (Adele)
LaGyo – Olrich Earrings (Gold)
Mon Tissu – Workwear Leather Clutch (Unrigged) White
SLink – Mesh Hands (av)
