A couple of days ago, I decided to visit Collabor88 to snag this adorable Maple Dress from Tres Blah. Typically, my event visits are quick—I know what I want, grab it, and leave. So, I teleported home, slipped into my new dress, and then, to my surprise, received an IM from a mysterious stranger.
Long story short, he had seen me at Collabor88 and invited me to a dance club. Feeling adventurous, I agreed. But once we arrived, I realized I was too casually dressed for the very formal venue.
This encounter got me thinking… For the men of Second Life, approaching ladies at events is surprisingly clever. It’s the perfect setting to meet stylish, well-dressed women! While I’m not seeking anything serious in Second Life, I occasionally do enjoy accepting a dance with a kind stranger.

To complete my outfit, I picked up these stunning Alyssa Heels from G Field. I used to be a huge fan of G Field and even blogged about them frequently. Their store used to be right next to my region! However, with the advent of mesh bodies, my interest shifted elsewhere. Recently, while casually searching for new PBR shoes, I was thrilled to discover this pair of heels priced at just L$200 for a fatpack. Amazing! It’s exciting to see that G Field is back and making PBR shoes again.

It’s attached to the attached to the Eva Bustier from Lark that I’m wearing, but I couldn’t make it transparent without turning the entire bustier transparent too, so I just went with it. Let’s pretend this oversight (I think) is a cool new trend, or something.
I’m wearing the new My Studded Shorts from Monso, with materials! I don’t have much experience with materials in SL, cos it’s still quite new, but I was able to see the difference after playing around with my Windlight Setting. My usual WL setting is too soft to see any noticeable difference, so I played around with one that’s more contrasted to show you guys how materials are supposed to be, if you can view them. I’m using the official SL viewer.

Although I was disappointed with my previous Ikon purchase (the Eternal Eyes), I wanted to try the new Destiny Eyes, since I read that it includes a new smaller size, XSmall. The previous smallest size, Small, was still too big for my preference, so I had to give these new eyes a try since they looked nice in the vendor ad.
These are the new sizes – XSmall, Small, Medium, Medium Large, and Large. The previous sizes were Small, Medium, Medium Large, and XLarge (this size is gone). There’s not that much difference between Small, Medium, and Medium Large.
This is the vendor ad for Ikon eyes at The Boutique. I’ve been burned before by Ikon eyes, cos in addition to the size being too large, the eyes in SL lacked the same clarity as the ad. What I think Ikon did, was use the high-resolution texture and morphed it with a real life eye for the ad, instead of taking the picture in SL.

It does bother me that the ad shows the eyes texture at a higher resolution than the eyes that are sold in SL. I knew in advanced that would probably be the case, from my previous experience with this brand. I still bought the Destiny Eyes, but I would have liked them more, if the ad didn’t irritate me so much.
Am I too picky about this? Do you guys think the texture clarity is “less than” the ad? Does this bother you?
OMG! Sim Gogo is sooooo cute, I wish I was good at playing the sims! I bought Sims3 last year, but found it really difficult to play cos I kept trying to do SL-controls in the game, and it didn’t work LOL!
I saw a referral to my blog from Landie’s Sims tumblr site, and I found a couple of my looks from SL that she recreated for her sims, and they’re amazing!!! LOVE IT! I’m so happy Gogo is a stylish sim 😀
And since I don’t how to leave a comment on tumblr, I thought I would blog about it here. I love what you’ve done with your sims Landie! You could probably make really cute SL avs too!
Hello from Baja Bay! I know everyone on the grid is already rushing towards Christmas, but let’s dial it back and enjoy the last few days of November. I am at the gorgeous Baja Bay beach sim enjoying the breeze and using it as the perfect backdrop for today’s photos.
Have you seen this Kira Kira Shirt by Katat0nik and White Crow? It’s adorable, love at first sight! It inspired me to change my hair color today to match the anime drawing and pastel colors. I’m alternating between cute and classic styles lately, since both appeal to me.
I can’t stop playing with expressions! Being able to do expressions effortlessly have been such a huge desire of mine for years. I have used various HUDs available to play with the default SL emotes, but they pale in comparison to what mesh heads can do. I want my avatar’s face to reflect the mood in the photos, so I will try to use appropriate expressions whenever I can!
