Happy Almost Thanksgiving everyone! What are you thankful for this year? Even if you’re not thankful, being alive is amazing, so be thankful for that! I am thankful for life, family, friends, health, happiness, etc! Speaking of friends, I’ve just created a blogging account for my friend on JuicyBomb so she can start blogging awesome content here too, so keep an eye out for her! 🙂
I have a weakness for school uniforms, especially when they’re adorable like the new Bookworm Cardigan, Ivy League Tank, and Freshmen skirt from Fishy Strawberry. This is a classy uniform, and the pieces can be mixed-and-matched with regular clothing too. It’s already out for Geeks ‘n’ Nerds Fair! Hurry, ends December 8th.

What makes this change difficult for me to accept is that the core benefits haven’t really changed. The stipend is the same. The land allowance is the same. While there are some additional perks and gifts being added, they’re not benefits that I personally value enough to justify paying more each year.
Whenever a company raises prices, I take a look at my spending and decide what’s still worth keeping. That’s exactly what I’m doing now. Over the years, I’ve accumulated several Premium accounts, mostly to hold extra Linden Homes. After thinking about it, I’ve decided I don’t really need all of them. I’ll be keeping the two accounts that I previously upgraded to Lifetime Premium Plus, but the extra accounts are becoming much harder to justify.
The same goes for land. I’ve acquired quite a bit of mainland recently, and this price increase has me reevaluating how much I actually need versus how much I’ve simply gotten used to having.
One thing about me is that I’m usually willing to spend money on Second Life. I enjoy supporting the platform, and I’ve never been afraid to invest in the things I love. But I also believe it’s important to periodically review our subscriptions and spending habits, especially when prices go up.
If you’re maintaining multiple Premium accounts, now might be a good time to ask yourself whether you’re getting enough value from each one. Do you really need that extra Linden Home? Do you use all of the benefits you’re paying for? Maybe the answer is yes. For me, the answer was no.
At the end of the day, every resident has to decide what makes sense for their own budget. My decision is to scale back a little. Not because I’m leaving Second Life or because I suddenly dislike the platform, but because I don’t think every account I currently pay for is worth the new price.
Sometimes the most effective feedback we can give isn’t posting on the forums or arguing on social media. It’s simply reevaluating our subscriptions and spending accordingly.
The Love Momma body will be released sometime in the future and it will be the first body of its kind where an avatar could experience the entire pregnancy cycle and even give birth to a newborn at the end. How incredible is that? Even if I have no interest in roleplaying a pregnant woman, I can see that this will be huge in Second Life for residents interested in this type of experience.
LeLutka is back with a brand new build and two sims full of goodies!! In addition to new apparel and acessories, there are new London Revolution skins which are more vibrant than the previous London skins. It's BEAUTIFUL! I'm a total skin nut, so I've been waiting patiently for the full release of these London Rev. skins AND they do not disappoint!!!
[ LeLutka – London Revolution (Light) Skins ]
Like the other skins at Lelutka, London Rev. includes three different brows ranging from light to dark. There are 8 makeups total for each skin tone.
Everything worn in the picture above is from LeLutka, even the shoes!! Aren't the clothes lovely? Beautiful texturing, great colors and great for mixing and matching. I'm wearing entire 'looks' put together by the experts at Lelutka, since I'm lazy lol!
I haven’t made a vid in a loooong time, so this is my first time testing the SL 2.0 client. I couldn’t remove the UI entirely (I blame SL) and the music doesn’t really sync with the dance moves at times, but it’s MY FIRST ONE in a long time! 🙂
I am so the same way! Always picking up school girl uniforms or pieces to make a cute one myself!
