Blog readers always ask me for tips on enhancing Second Life photos with AI tools, and honestly I don’t think I’m very good at it. Still, I decided to dive back into Krea.ai and see if I could enhance my avatar with ultra realistic hair and skin texture. I’ve tried a few other AI tools, but I personally think Krea is the easiest.
Have you ever seen a Second Life ad where the face looks almost real and the hair texture is so good that it can’t be Second Life? That is usually AI enhancement. It can be deceiving, even when people say the product is untouched. Once you add AI, your eyes get tricked and the product does look slightly better.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Second Life has come a long way. My avatar has never looked better to me, but I rezzed into system hair and system clothes back in the day, and I think I was even wearing system skin. So maybe my idea of amazing is a little skewed, but I also think Second Life avatars have peaked. Can we even get any better?
I don’t know what process or tools other people are using, but I think the easiest way to add detail is to enhance with an AI tool and then blend the two photos in Photoshop. You don’t have to keep the entire AI generation, just blend enough so it still looks like your avatar.
AI tools are still too expensive. I like to play around with video generation and I can burn through a month of credits in an hour. I paid $10 a month to test different models in Krea, but you can use the free version too.
Even if you don’t love the deception of AI, it’s here to stay. I’m not encouraging anybody to do this, but I wanted to share since so many people have asked me for tips.
My inventory count is 50K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 50,583 to be exact. I wanted to start the new year with clean and manageable inventory. I’ve deleted most of the older stuff that I haven’t worn in years, and don’t plan on wearing ever again. There are lots of items that would still look good in photos, but I have new blogging goals for 2015, and one of those goals is to stop blogging brands that are inactive.

New launched Tableau Vivant is so fantastic!!! I haven’t had this much fun trying on new tattoo makeups in awhile.
These Tableau Vivant Light & Shadows eye makeups are gorgeous and some includes decorative attachments (lashes, feathers, leaves) that complements the makeup so well. I really like the pretty and pastel ones, but I also love the dark and moody ones too.

Is now a good time to cash out your Lindens? Yes, now is the best time to cash out your Lindens. Since Second Life introduced Premium Plus (with no stipend) back in October, I’ve been keeping an eye on the exchange rate, and recently I saw L$245/USD, which is the best rate I’ve seen in years. That was my cue to finally do something about the amount of Lindens I was sitting on. I’m not a big creator, but between stipends, buying and selling land, and income from my shop, I had built up a pretty large balance. At the end of 2025, I decided to cash out some of my stash, just L$250,000 Lindens, which is about $961 USD, to test the process.
I also wanted to see if the cash out process had improved now that Tilia is owned by Thunes. At first, I tried withdrawing through PayPal and it stalled for days. I switched my payout method to Direct Bank Deposit and the money arrived in under two business days. As you can see, Second Life charged me $48.28 in fees and completed the payout within two business days (this was done over the Christmas holiday, so it stretched to about five days total). That’s impressive, but it also made me realize how ripe this system could be for fraud. Faster payouts, sometimes within hours, mean that if someone gains access to your account, real damage can happen before you even notice.
One thing I find interesting is that you would think with the exchange rate being more favorable, creators would start lowering their prices. But that hasn’t really happened. If anything, prices are staying inflated, and I understand why. Real life cost of living has gone up, and many creators rely on Second Life income to get by. It just means that as residents, we’re still paying more even when our Lindens technically stretch further.
If you’re thinking of cashing out, do it! If you have lots of Lindens in your account or a payment method with significant funds attached to it, consider enabling two factor authentication immediately.

A little birdie told me that LeLutka will be releasing this new Natasha skin very soon (probably this weekend), so I know fellow skin addicts are just as excited as I am. I think this face is great, and the lips are similar to Lola, one of the most popular LeLutka faces. I personally like it a bit more than Mila, because the lips are smaller and the texture is just perfect.
The Natasha skins only comes in four skin tones (Pearl, Hush, Golden, Walnut) cos this is suppose to be a lighter skin (the base brow is light Brown). If you prefer darker brows, any of the brows tattoos released last week will work perfectly with it. Have you noticed that LeLutka has new skin tones? Older LeLutka skin tattoos will not match perfectly with these new tones — so you need to wear the right cleavage and brows tattoo for your skin.

This is not really related to my skin review, but I thought I would mention a quick little Gorean Public Service Announcement by Elle Couerblanc. I’m not a fan of STICKY BOOBS. Natasha doesn’t have it, thank god. Ladies, if you must wear cleavage enhancers, make sure you’re wearing a bra or some type of ‘supporting’ garment so it doesn’t look like your boobs are stuck together in an unnatural way. Please please please read the article if you need visual examples! 🙂

I will be excited when I can get the underlayers to work! I can’t seem to wear a non mesh t shirt under a jacket or a Lacey blouse with out seeing my bits or thru my avi. Yes I did ask for help but no answer. I swap to my reg body when i need to wear anything that is not mesh because most mesh comes with some underlayers right?? Sorry just venting. I know I am doing something wrong just am not sure what.
