Hello SL! Blogging to you live from the steps of my sweet lil’ Kuuipo Beach Hut from Consignment. Did you know that “Kuu Ipo” means “My Sweetheart” in Hawaiian? My friend Melanie had a sim named this a couple of years ago, when we were still sim neighbors.

AOHARU has just released the Rose Lace Wedding Dress in fantastic Spring colors! There's White, for those who are traditional and Blue, Pink and Yellow too! These are the first sculpted train and fully sculpted veil that I've ever seen, and they look amazing in-world.
The lace detail is amazing and sculpted roses are cleverly placed all over the dress.
I really like taking photos in wedding gowns, and I think a lot of girls do too! Even if you don't plan on getting married, buy a dozen, buy them all!! A wedding dress is really just a dress, right? 🙂
Take a taxi to AOHARU for the Rose Lace Wedding Dress & more!
AOHARU is a great place to shop if you love cute outerwear! The Nordic Knit Coat is love at first sight — and comes in PINK!!!!! If Pink is not your favorite color, this coat is also available in Brown, Cream, Gray, Green, Ice, and Red.
I’ve been wearing the Lumi skin from Glam Affair since it was released back in March. In real life time, that’s not very long at all. In Second Life time, though, it feels like ages ago. But does time even matter when you like a skin? You could probably wear the same skin for years and never feel dated, especially with the current state of Second Life. Until LeLutka releases the new PURE mesh heads, most of us are still wearing EvoX heads, and skin designers continue to create beautiful 2048 skins with the same level of skill and quality. There is really no rush to change your look unless you want to.
Glam Affair – Alix skin | w/ Tattoo Layers added to soften the pores/freckles
That said, in Gogo time, four months feels like a long time. I spend an embarrassing amount of time staring at my own face, after all. So today, even though it seems like Glam Affair releases dozens of skins every month, I finally found a new face. The new Alix skin from Glam Affair is available at Equal10. I like most Glam Affair skins, but if I’m going to call something my face, it has to feel instantly familiar. It’s that little moment of, “Ah, there you are,” when I put it on. That’s exactly how I felt with Alix, even though I already knew I would be reaching for Izzie’s to remove the freckles and pores. As you can see, I did just that, and I love the result. The original version is beautiful too, and honestly, a lot of skins in Second Life are released looking more like my edited version. People then use Izzie’s or other tattoo layers to add freckles, pores, highlights, and other details back in. I sometimes go in the opposite direction and remove those details instead. The fact that we can customize skins so easily now is one of my favorite things about Second Life.
ISON recently had a 40% off sale, so I picked up something I do not normally wear, a leather outfit. Paired with the new Truth Verse hairstyle, the whole look reminds me of an anime baddie, and I am kind of obsessed with it. Maybe I need to stop wearing pastel pink and white all the time and lean into dark leather. Then again, let’s not get carried away.
I have to tell you this hilarious story. I was looking for a place to take my blog photos today, so I searched for “combat” in the Destination Guide. I teleported to a region, set up my shot, and just as I was about to take the photo, someone teleported in and instantly killed me. I got sent home. So now I am at the Cannabis Airfield & Harbor region taking these photos instead.
My whole look today is inspired by the Lois set from Art&Ko. It comes with overalls, a top, belt, shoes, and even a little walkie talkie. This is such a change from what I usually wear. I don’t normally go for camouflage prints, but I decided to commit and go for a full combat look with a touch of glam.
The Aurelia hairstyle from Ade has the best hairline I have ever seen. I love how natural and well done it looks. Ade hair has really cute styles and the textures are really nice. I just wish the blondes were a little more platinum. The brunette colors are absolutely gorgeous.
This is my favorite tank top right now. It’s the Everyday Tank from BOOM, but I asked Aranel to customize it with <BOOBS> in bitmap font. I love it! Thank you, Aranel! <3
My look for this week’s Bubblegum Weekends is a mix of style — the outfit is casual, but the hair reminds me of the futuristic updo that the Tron girls wore in the movie. Anyways, I’m going with it, cos I love this Helen hairstyle from RezIpsa Loc.
What I’m Wearing:
Laqroki – Linnea (Fair) Light Brows (01)
cheLLe – (eyeshadow) Tropical (Yellow/Pink)
RezIpsa Loc – Helen (Baby Pink)
BOOM – BOOBS Tank (custom, not for sale)
Zaara – Distressed Jeans (Dirty)
Maitreya Gold – Flip-Flops
Glow – Earrings (Hoop Drop) Silver
Poco Pal – Cow (soooo awesome!!!!, Thank you Ann!)
The Aimesi Elena skins have sweet faces & great highlights that brightens up the whole face. I am wearing three of the lightest skin tones – Bright, Pale, and Tan. There are darker shades available too for those that like a tan look. One thing I'm not completely crazy about is the ultra shine on breasts, it doesn't go with what I would consider a sweet & youthful face on this skin.
Such a nice, soft picture. I love the glasses!
