I am thankful for the talents of other SL residents daily, especially when I need a well-decorated sim for photography. I’m standing NordeyNey, it looks like a charming residential sim that is opened to the public. Now that it’s autumn, I’m glad that designers are introducing plaid back into their designs. Less floral, MORE PLAID!!!! This gorgeous Oslo shirt is from Fishy Strawberry, and includes a texture-changing HUD.
What I’m Wearing:
LeLutka – BAMBI Hair (Praline)
Fishy Strawberry – Oslo Shirt (S) Light Denim
Monso – My Studded Shorts (Deep Blue)
Katat0nik – (Pink) Floral Glasses
L.Warwick – Virtuoso Oxford Dress Shoes (White)
Ohmai – Beary Lurvin
Amitomo – Watch C White
Donna Flora created this Reine dress for Miss France, for the Miss Virtual World contest. I don’t follow pageants in SL, but I saw this dress on the feed awhile back and had to have it. I love big gowns in SL, although there’s never anywhere to go in them. But do you really need a reason to dress up like a Princess in SL? newp!
What I’m Wearing:
Truth – Jocelyn (Swedish)
LeLutka – Gem/Golden-Makeup5
Dutch Touch – Makeup – Lipgloss – Faded Serie – StrawBerry
Glow Studio – Pink Duck (Hairband) modded to fit hair
Donna Flora – Reine (Miss France MVW contest)
Donna Flora – BEAUTY Necklace & Earrings

I recently visited Kawaii Secrets to try on an outfit, and to my delight, I stumbled upon a plethora of free gifts at the event. It turns out they are celebrating the event’s birthday! One of the aspects I especially appreciated was that each designer had attached a photo to every gift box, giving me a clear idea of what I was about to click on. I adhere to a personal rule: if I pick up a free gift, I must open it, try it on, and then decide if I want to keep it. Following this, I discovered a treasure trove of adorable items at this event!
Isn’t there something uniquely satisfying about snagging free items compared to purchasing them? I adore a good gift. For instance, the face stickers from Beauty Unleashed and Pixi are simply adorable. I also picked up a couple of free tintable blushes that add a lovely touch to my look. The highlight for me, however, has to be the free hair bows from Usagi Society. These beauties are modifiable, allowing me to tint them into a beautiful light green pastel color. I probably wouldn’t have used the hair bows if they weren’t tintable since the original colors provided by the HUD were kind of bold and I prefer softer colors. Now, I can’t wait to wear these hair bows all the time—they’re super cute and something I would have gladly purchased.
Speaking of cute freebies, Mewsery is giving away the Omfy Bear with a fantastic customizable HUD at the event, and it’s absolutely adorable. I also fell in love with a rainbow purse from Believe that I received as a gift.
While I typically don’t cover freebies—leaving that job to the excellent FabFree blog—I can definitely understand the thrill of discovering a great freebie that you simply have to share with the world.
I’m doing this tutorial to help anyone that wants to learn how to make poses in Second Life. I am using DAZ Studio, but you can use QAvimator, Poser, and a few other programs too. There are tutorials out there for those already, so I’ll just focus on DAZ.
To make poses for Second Life, you have to use the SL .obj and .cr2 avatar files, not the default DAZ avatar. This is the most important step in the pose-making process for DAZ, but it’s similar in other programs too. In some cases, you can export your own shape to use, but I couldn’t get it to work right in DAZ so we’ll skip that for now.
1. Importing the Second Life .obj and .cr2 files into DAZ
File -> New (to clear your scene) then,
File -> Import
Select SL_Female.cr2, then Open it in DAZ
Locate the SL_Female.obj file, then Open it in DAZ
Hey guys, I know that there’s some lag at the Mixed-Up Bunneh Hunt, but good things come to those who are patient! 🙂
Hunts are a great way to… explore shops you know and love, and discover some new ones too! I’ve met some fantastic people on hunts, so if you’re bored, or want to meet new people, this is a great opportunity.
I am wearing the Bunneh Hunt Dress from MALT, you can get this if you find the MALT egg and return it to the Malt basket.
The pose I’m using here is the Dolly’s Balloons pose from AVANT, a lil sneak peek of Pose Fair 2010. I promise I’ll do a more complete coverage of fair goodies soon!
My criteria for shoe buying have changed recently. I no longer want them to just look good, they also have to be compatible with SLink feet.
These gorgeous Oxygen Heels are from CandyDoll, and includes a texture-changing HUD for the sole and heel. It was super hard to choose just one, but I picked the nice bluish floral print to match my outfit.
I am separating all of my SLink add-on shoes from the rest of my shoes inventory, cos when I have a nice collection of add-on shoes, I will delete all of the ones that aren’t. Sorry other shoes… appliers rock. I won’t buy a shoe with a foot attached, no matter what brand it’s from now. How about you?
Hello Second Life! Elle Couerblanc here, renoobed and restyled. It’s been about 5 years maybe (??) since I did any sort of Second Life blogging, photos and well anything besides decorating whatever house I am living in at the moment. Overall, I have been really gone, except for log in spurts here and there, for about four years. But something about SL has intrigued me this time around.
Hey, great post, one question, where do you got the fishy strawberry shirt? Cuz its not available at the store – Was it the new collabor? or the uber? or arcade or something like that? thank you

Lovely outfit and must check out that cute sim too. I may have to get myself that shirt. 🙂
The sim looks so beautiful and realistic. SL clearly gets better everyday.
