Sometimes I think that Gogo is me, and sometimes I think that she’s Gogo, a virtual girl with a pretty fabulous wardrobe. I enjoy blogging, and I have a certain casual style that I favor, that I know a lot of you guys do too. I think that people who call my style ‘boring’ are just trying to ruin my day, and that’s not possible… cos I happen to love casual. I love bright colors, I love that my photos are usually cheerful. Have some flowers, and lighten up!
My fabulous outfit is from Teefy, and check out these gorgeous new Uvola Sling Back shoes from Hucci.
What I’m Wearing:
Pink Fuel Skin
Exile – Pick Up Lines
Teefy – Sophie Cut-Out Ruffle Top (S) Creme
Teefy – Su Pencil Skirt (S) Fiesta
Hucci – Uvol Sling Back (Prime Collection)
The Secret Store – Wild Flowers (Bouquet/Mixed Flowers)SugarCube

SugarCube has just released the Hasu (one shoulder dress) – it comes in pink & white and has a sculpted rose corsage and sculpted skirt. The sculpted skirt is created with many sculpted pieces, not just a sigle one, giving it a more beautiful shape resembling layers of rose petals.

Cake has just released this Afterglow hair, and it is absolutely beautiful!! I'm a huge fan of curls in SL, when done right. I've also noticed that Stumbelina has stopped checking 'full bright' as a default on her hair textures and they look much nicer now. This hair is so elegant, perfect for formals & weddings.
What I'm Wearing:
LeLutka – LondonRevolutionPale-makeup6
Cake – Aftergow (Pecan) hair
Elegance Hats – Rosie hairpiece
SugarCube – Hasu (one shoulder dress)
Jador – Diamonds Party platinum ring
L+R+W – Venus (Pink, White) pumpsWindows Ate My Pictures!
Okay so…the other day I managed to take a whole batch of photos including the one you see here with Elle in her New Years Eve outfit she had been styling for weeks! Well not exactly weeks, and maybe actually, just a couple of hours – but that’s beside the point, LOL. But as luck would have it (or more than likely an ID10T error on Elle’s typist’s part) windows ate them all! Elle was traumatized and so beside herself, she just couldn’t push herself to try to take the photo again. Oddly enough, one was still in my recently viewed cached items, although, the file itself was gone! So what’s a disappointed and lazy fashion blogger to do? Use Snipit and take a photo of a photo woot!
Anyway, I had tons of fun with this photo – from styling Elle to building the little set. There are so many wonderful little knickknacks in SL now that I think building sets might be a thing for me going forward. Details on the items used in this photo along with Elle’s outfit can be found below. For now…I am out peeps – so in the meantime, take care my friends and have a great Second Life!

At exactly midnight SLT tonight, you’ll be to snap up this gorgeous Break Away hairstyle from Exile @ the Gala Fundraiser event. This hairstyle is available in one selected color pack, with 100% of the proceeds being donated. Here is a direct SLurl to Exile.
I like the new Catalina headband from LaGyo so much, that I had to wear it today! I rotated so that the flowers are at the bottom, and wore it more tiara-like than how it’s suppose to be worn.
You can find the headband, along with this Nana Suit from Glam Affair at Collabor88 this month! I think the suit is adorable, and the mesh cleavage shape is really well done on the top. However, the shoulder straps hovering over the body looks super awkward. It seems to be higher (on me) as the sizes go up, so I wore the smallest size possible to get the best fit there, even though I had to shrink myself a bit.
What I’m Wearing:
Exile – Break Away (BabyDoll)
LaGyo – Catalina headband (Silver)
LaGyo – Santa Monica Earrings (Silver)
Glam Affair – Nana Suit (Candy)
SLink – Natural Barefeet (Mesh Rigged)
SLink – Ilena Sandals (White)The Rise & Fall of Gachas
It’s official – Second Life has banned gachas! I expected under the new
regimeleadership, this policy and many others will follow to clean up the grid and be in compliance with governmental regulations. While I occasionally played a gacha machine here and there, I’m mostly a beneficiary of the extras from friends. Gacha was fun when it was cheap, but over the years, pull prices have doubled, and the chances of a rare nearly impossible. But I do realize the reason why people play – cos it’s cheap, random, and fun, unless you had terrible luck! If you can score the rare after one or two pulls, you felt like you were winning. I asked my friend Sparkle, aka the Gacha Queen, her thoughts on this policy change.

(pic provided by Jenny since I don't have nVidia 8)
The awesome Jenny Thielt wrote instructions on how to enable dynamic shadows on the Second Life 1.23 Release Viewer (re-posted here with permission):
Enabling Dynamic Shadows on the 1.23 Release Viewer and any viewer based on the 1.23 version.
Make sure you have a DirectX 10 compatible card (eg. nVidia 8 series or newer)
1. Make sure Atmospheric Shaders is on (windlight pretty skies and clouds)
2. Open the Advanced menu (if you dont have it yet press ctrl+alt+d)
3. Go to Debug Settings…
4. type renderuseFBO
5. Change value to TRUE
6. type renderdeferred
7. change value to true
8. Welcome to the world of dynamic shadows.
To disable dynamic shadows all you need to do is change the renderdeferred value back to false. (you can also change the renderuseFBO value to false too if you want)
