I went to The Seasons Story event and had a blast! I wanted fall decor, so I played a bunch of machines that had gorgeous prim food and decor. Some decor seen here are from: Disorderly & Cureless, Silvery K, Tenacio (all found @ the event); the rest are from Tres Blah and What Next.
I also found the most amazing pair of jean shorts from Empire! These would normally be a bit too cheeky for my taste, but today it really suits my mood. The jean shorts are sold as a single pack of 20 colors, includes a HUD to change the colors/textures.
I’m doing my best to cover events that I find worthwhile, but there are just so many. I have to really like an event to recommend it to you guys, and The Seasons Story is definitely worth checking out. There are lots of free gifts at this event too.

WigWamBam has just released the fruity jeans & capri, and two lovely jackets. Each pair of jeans includes short capri pants and long versions with cuffs for each. These items have a really cute retro feel to them, and totally perfect for Summer.
Anthology event announced that May will be the last round. This is the only event that I’m a blogger for, so it feels kind of sad seeing it end after two years. But honestly, I also think there are too many events on the grid, so losing one is probably healthy overall for the Second Life economy.
Events create this rushed mentality for both creators and consumers. Before I even get a chance to unpack and show you my latest outfit, it’s already three releases old from the same creator. Now it feels dated, it’s no longer at whatever event it launched at, and I don’t even know if it made it to the main store. Events are not that great for bloggers.
My blog posts sell items long after I post them. Years later, people still find old blog posts and go shopping. That’s why event blogging has always felt weird to me, because the content expires so fast. I’ve always been hesitant to sign up for event blogging because I don’t actually want to feel obligated to blog anything. Anthology was super nice about it though. You just blogged a few items per round and could pretty much blog whatever you wanted. Blogger’s choice.
Even though I still blog fashion, I also want to blog about so many other things in SL. That’s why I don’t really sign up to officially blog for a lot of brands or events. If I’m only blogging, on average, once a week, I don’t want my content dominated by one thing. I’m too scattered for that.
So I guess this post is really just to say that Anthology will be missed, at least by me. It was me dipping my toes into event blogging and realizing I probably couldn’t handle a massive event with super strict blogging rules.
Anyway, don’t ask me why I decided to shoot these photos in the dark. Then I realized you couldn’t even see my shoes, so I had to go back and change the EEP light settings.
I love loafers, and these are the Elaine Shoes by Arltos at Anthology. I don’t know how long Arltos has been around, but I only really started noticing them fairly recently, maybe within the past two years? I wear low heels, loafers, flats, sandals, and sneakers. I’m not a fan of sky high shoes. They look uncomfortable, even on virtual feet.

Over the past 17 years, my interests have varied and evolved, but everything you see on JuicyBomb is a true reflection of me. I’m thrilled to join the Got Blog! Bloggers Challenge. Through this challenge, I hope to share my thoughts on blogging and offer readers a deeper understanding of the Second Life blogging community.
When did you start your Second Life Blog?
I started my Second Life blog in 2007. My blog is nearly as old as my avatar!
Why did you start Blogging in Second Life?
My first Second Life blog was on a free platform, and it wasn’t a fashion blog. I just wanted a place to document my adventures in Second Life, so it was just candid photos and brief captions. Eventually, I decided to make a proper blog, so I bought a domain and started a blog called Gogolita. The name Gogolita was a combination of my avatar name (Gorgeous) and my favorite fashion style at the time (Lolita fashion). A year later, I bought a region and named it Juicy, so I rebranded to JuicyBomb.
Do you feel the Blogging community in Second Life has changed since you started Blogging, and if so, in what ways?
Back in the day, I felt that (fashion) bloggers wrote to share a genuine love for items they discovered and to connect with other residents on the grid. I used to know most of the bloggers in Second Life—not personally, but through their writings and being in the same groups and attending bloggers-only events. Designers were really nice to bloggers in general; they tried to be our friends, hoping we’d promote their stores. Now, some designers act like we’re their employees, setting requirements to be part of their blog teams. Even the bloggers appear to be more focused on meeting deadlines and promoting products rather than sharing things they genuinely love.
Do you think that Bloggers have a positive impact on Second Life culture and community, and if so, do you have any stories about that?
Where would Second Life be without bloggers? I feel that all bloggers have contributed to Second Life and filled the information gap when Linden Lab fell short. Additionally, our love for shopping and sharing that love on our blogs has positively impacted e-commerce here. Imagine Second Life without bloggers! It might have shuttered long ago.

Happy Easter!! Lots of goodies on the grid this weekend but I'll have to come off my sugar high before I can do a proper blog entry. However, if you're looking for sexy shoes, the AOHARU Gladiators have been released!! Machang Pichot has made sculpted feet!
These are the AOHARU Gladiators in Pink! Each pair of shoes includes a HUD to tint skin and nail colors and the shoes are resizable. There are 3 slots to save your own customized skin color, too. For Machang's first pair, this is a really good try but the menu needs more customization options. So far you can only tint skin by selecting a preset color, then adding more Red, Green, or Blue tint, which works ok but it is not a fast process. I wish there was a built-in color-picker like in Photoshop (SLink shoes has this).
The best part about the AOHARU Gladiators is the heel shape and sexy straps with buckles. These also come in a bunch of happy colors, so tp to AOHARU!
