Wine O’Clock
Hello from my backyard! Cheeky Pea just released the Taula Gazebo Set, perfect for when you’re inviting friends over for a drink. I just enjoy being outside in SL, and this ‘wine shed’ comes with everything I need to feel like it’s an actual living space – gazebo, furniture, lighting, and decor.

Happy Almost Thanksgiving everyone! What are you thankful for this year? Even if you’re not thankful, being alive is amazing, so be thankful for that! I am thankful for life, family, friends, health, happiness, etc! I have a weakness for school uniforms, especially when they’re adorable like the new Bookworm Cardigan, Ivy League Tank, and Freshmen skirt from Fishy Strawberry. This is a classy uniform, and the pieces can be mixed-and-matched with regular clothing too. It’s already out for Geeks ‘n’ Nerds Fair! Hurry, ends December 8th.

Tuli – Audrey Skin
This is a preview of the new Audrey skin from Tuli that will be released later today tomorrow. I’m really excited about Audrey because I think she looks nothing like what Tuli has done in the past – the face is completely different, and the brows and lips are just amazing. I’m also really excited that there are lots of 2.0 lipstick layers to choose from!

SLink Tall Leather Thigh Boots
I found this darling outfit from Marketplace, and it has a sculpted Leather Bra, which matches perfectly with the new SLink Tall Leather Thigh Boots I’m wearing. With a lil’ bit of adjustments, I was able to get this outfit to fit reasonably well and also, not wear the leather shirt texture layer. This Sonya dress from Crissy Designs is $100L (so cheap!) and is the cutest ‘whore’ outfit I could find that is still cute, not tacky.
Now onto SLink’s newest Tall Leather Thigh Boots! They’re mesh so they bend and work with all poses!
What I found interesting about these particular mesh boots (my very first pair of mesh shoes), is that they come with one single attachment. There’s no Left and Right shoe, the whole thing is just… together. This is how it looks inside my inventory, with the boots worn:
The SLink boots comes with 4 sizes to choose from. To my surprise, my avatar is Curvy! I think Gogo is pretty small, so erm, if your legs have muscle bigger than 50 and your fat sliders are bigger than mine, you’ll prob have to move onto the Plus size, or ask for a custom fitting.
The SLink Tall Leather Thigh Boots comes in 10 colors! I noticed that these boots do not have any ‘options’ like some previous SLink shoes. I wonder if that’s a mesh limitation? There’s no HUD, so there’s no option to change sole color, heel color, or anything like that.
If you’re not on a viewer capable of viewing mesh, I guess you’ll be seeing a whole lot of boxes in SL! These boots are a-m-a-zing. I don’t know if I will purchase “regular” sculpt boots ever again.

Is my avatar too short?
I love ball gowns but when I put them on, the skirt is often much too long for my avatar. Is my avatar too short or are designers making these gowns for taller “model sizes”? The height script thing says my avatar is at 5’11 and even taller with heels on.
My suggestion to dress makers: please make your skirts for Short and Tall avatars! Provide two lengths so I don’t have to mod the skirt myself. When I tried to resize the skirt for the gown I’m wearing here, the sculpted bustle disappeared into my torso, so I had to drag it forward and modify the bustle parts to fit. It’s not too complicated, but it would be nice if it just worked right out of the box, cos there are lots of people who would find this simple task difficult.
This is why I don’t blog ball gowns more often, cos the skirt annoys me. A couple of brands are just my size, but some of them are made for avatars with Amazon proportions.
P.S. I’m wearing the Nardcotix ‘Ella English Victorian Gown’, it’s very pretty! My friend Wilma saw me wearing this and asked if I was taking pics for a Disney ad, lol!
