  1. It takes more than individuals to correct things like this. I admit I had no idea that there were such things in SL, although not quite naive enough to believe there are none. I haven’t seen them or I’d have reacted the same as you did. Surely there are groups in SL that work on things like this? I’ll be looking for them now. If there aren’t. there should be. A calm, organized group could accomplish a lot, and I believe it’s worth working on.

  2. All I am going to say is the “NAMES” of these so called designers need to be surfaced. Because they don’t need any of my, friends, family’s money. This is disgusting and ruthless.

    1. I had to mull over if I wanted to do that or not, and decided not to. Here’s why:

      1. One of the perpetrators actually ended up donating resources to the Stand for Justice fundraiser. I wonder if they’ve changed since that instance happened.
      2. There were already rumors floating around that the designers were like this already. Judging by the first point, that *really* makes me think someone had a talk with them.
      3. It kept people asking “Is it me??” which, if you gotta ask… then maybe those designers already had a problem, and I was totally okay with them taking time out to mull over their actions. Good. I hope they keep doing it.
      4. It would’ve distracted from the BLM fundraiser, which would’ve thrown everything off and the drama would’ve eclipsed what positive thing was coming out of it.

I know. It isn’t okay. And people had a right to know. But those were the reasons I decided to not name them. But I did send out a warning to that person–if you keep doing this and I catch wind of it, I will spill ALL THE RECEIPTS and I will not be sorry at that point. I hope they listened, because it’s the only warning they’ll get.
